Love this romantic suspense story. The characters reacted like actual people in those situations. The man wasn't a horrible person who had to be redeemed and the woman was strong and independent. I read it all in one sitting because I couldn't put it down (who needs sleep, right?!?). Great read - highly recommended!!!

My heart was pounding, and I was flipping pages as fast as I could. Hated having to stop for real world stuff.
Dani and Jake felt like real people with real world problems, not just spy world problems. I liked how they slowly opened up to each other.
Ashley really needs to get put in her place.

This is a good book, an enjoyable read. Very fast paced and suspenseful.
A first in a series so there's not that feeling of familiarity that we love so much yet. But I'm hoping it will build and that this was just an off book for some of the characters. In fact as much as I loved the two main characters and the book overall I didn't really care for the other people at EDGE at all! I thought the way they treated Dani was ridiculous. They should have been jumping up and down when they found out about her connection to the Russian's not pushing her away. They act like elitist snobs and reprimand and threaten her constantly when they should be trying to gain her trust. But because she doesn't want to tell her bosses and all her co-workers just out of the blue how she was used and abused physically and sexually, they equate that with not trusting them, so they can't trust her? That's whack! I really wanted to like each of these characters and hopefully they will make a better showing in books to come. I do plan on reading the next book in hopes of improvement.

Trish Loye – E.D.G.E. Security Series – Edge of Control – Book 1

Book 1 is about Jake, “College” Harrison and Dani Everette. In the beginning Jake is a Seal and E.D.G.E. rescues him and his team in the middle of a terrorist firestorm. One year later E.D.G.E. is recruiting Jake to work at EDGE. Elite Digital & Global Enforcement is a government ran organization with Canada and the USA military, CIA and Canada’s CSIS. Ms. Loye takes you on a fast paced ride with horrible Russian Mafia’s human trafficking that must be taken down.

Ms. Loye is a new author for me and since I like Military Romance, I started reading her E.D.G.E. Security Series. Ms. Loye does weave a story of mystery, fast paced, heart stopping black ops missions. I would summarize her style as a lot of black ops missions and a “dash” of romance somewhere after 70% + of the book. With the focus on the mission, the romance side of things doesn’t have time to “marinate” or go into any depths of a relationship let alone time for anyone to fall in love.

My experience with military romance has been a great balance on the military side with time to explore the romance and “relationship” component to the point that it is believable that perhaps love at first sight is possible.

However, having said that, if you like military black ops books with a dash of romance, then this author is for you.

My experience with military romances available on Kindle Unlimited has not been the best. Often authors sacrifice storyline for too many sex scenes or the alpha is too alpha and the heroine to flaky and what humor is there is forced. Oh and let's not get into the typos.

Well I had never heard of this author before Kindle Unlimited and now I'm so glad I have. Trish Loye's opener to her EDGE series ticks every box when it comes to a military-esque romance. Super competent alpha, check! Plucky butt-kicking heroine, check! Excellent chemistry, check! A fast-paced, riveting plot, check! The book has a moderate amount of heat which is good because you never feel like you're reading filler. The book also tackles some serious issues in a really great and insightful way so you learn something as well. All in all a great book available on Kindle Unlimited!! If you're reading this review, get this book!!!!

This book it started with a bang! The action, drama and romance were good but at the end something was completely missing. This security company was supposedly a mix of special ops, investigations, security and mercenaries but at the end or more especially when they were searching for her they couldn't do it without the help of the local authority. Don't get me wrong getting help from another entity is it's not bad it's just that the premise of the book suggest that they are the best in their field and that's why other countries ask for their help... There were a few task they couldn't do or wasn't explain enough. The ending was so inconclusive but I don't know if in the next book something is going to be mentioned. At the end she realize that she's in love with him but she never said it or he mention it, is just implied... Well other than that and a few other things, I gave the Book 3 stars. Because of this and other stuff I won't be reading the next book.

I had never read this author before, but decided to give this series a try since I could read it for free on kindle unlimited. I'm really happy I did, because I loved it. Both the premise and the characters were interesting and relatable. Jake was especially yummy, and I loved how he called Dani Hacker Girl. He saw right through her exterior to the woman she really was. Dani turned out to be a kick butt heroine who was not afraid to take care of herself. She and Jake together were fun.

I liked these so much that I've already downloaded books two and three.

Jake, a SEAL on assignment with EDGE, and Dani, a Research/IT tech are partnered up on an op to take down Russian mobsters running a human trafficking ring. Dani had a special interest - rescuing her missing friend who was kidnapped by these same fiends. These two are perfectly matched. Dani's history is such that she's trained in fighting, lock picking, hot wiring cars, speaks Russian, and is a hacker extraordinaire. Jake is mightily impressed with her skill sets. This is a fast-paced, action-packed thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Loved this first book in this series. Scenes about the Navy Seals and the special operations were well done. It is a fast paced book full of intrigue. supense and action with romance too. Dani, the heroine is a woman who can take care of herself and has had too so as a result finds it hard to trust people. Jake, a Navy Seal helps her with her fears and finds his way into her heart. I look forward to more books in this series.

Good story, if a little predictable. It moved swiftly and I kept happily turning the pages. While I look forward to the next book I hope more of the characters are fleshed out to be more than flat one dimensional characters. But all in all it was a very good read. Thanks.

I really enjoyed this book. I love strong female characters. They drive me nuts when they're weak and expect the man to take care of everything. This book was action packed and the relationship between characters built up throughout book. I'm looking forward to reading more books by this author.

Action galore. That's for sure! The characters suck you in and by the end of the book you will be frantic for the next. Could have used more romance and a lot more depth to the steam but that's my personal tastes. Overall this book was well worth the read. ???

Very fast paced suspense thriller. I could not put it down.
Loved Dani and Jake's chemistry. They learn to trust each other as they race against time to save Dani's friend from the Russian mafia. The very mafia that Dani has been hiding from.
