Enjoyable read, it just felt so honest. Single moms & sexy soldiers are a great combination and I especially enjoyed the emphasis on the sacrifice of our service people, can never thank them enough.

I love stories about our military men and romance. I am a sucker for them and she did not disappoint. I wish that would have been a little more on the trail end, but I guess it is c that way to get you to buy the next book.
Edge of Control (Edge Security Series Book 1) :: The Edge of Courage (A Red Team Novel Book 1) :: second-chance military romance. - One to Hold (Derek & Melissa) :: SEALs of Honor: Books 1-3 :: Breaking Free (Military Romantic Suspense) (SEAL Team Heartbreakers Book 1)

I usually don't like books where the people become a couple in a matter of hours, but this book was ok. It was a quick romance story with a sweet ending that some may not be able to guess...I know I wasn't.

A love story that includes the trials and hardships of a military life style. This couple experienced the roller coaster ride of uncertainty when Riley was injured by a roadside bomb. It was a little slow in some areas.

This was a return to what romance has always been. I loved this! Cara found her forever after and I could feel the love and the pain. Yes, there were some grammatical errors, but the entire novel redeemed itself. I loved it...a return to true love, in its conventional form.

Not only is this book filled with romance but its also a great love story. I am a military wife myself and I know the struggle of being away from your service member and worrying non stop so to have them come back together is great. This life is not easy and not everyone can withstand the pressure put on a relationship from this kind of life. Riley struggle is a real one for a lot of service members and the support of loved ones makes all the difference. I can't wait to read his point of view.

Being in the military myself, I was looking forward to a great military romance. It started out a bit odd as the main character seemed to really be into getting drunk and hooking up with one night stands....not your typical situation. However, she grew on me and it came through that she was a girl who married and divorced young so she was making up for lost time and filling the weekends when her son was with his dad. Riley was awesome and all that a girl could ask for. The downer.....our main character stated that she hated Country music and only went to Country bars because that was the only place where she could find "decent men and not a bunch of thugs." I was a bit thrown by this but pushed it aside only to later have her again state that she had to go the "abhorred" Country bar because her friend was built like the rap song with an "LA face and an Oakland bootie" and she would be harassed by thugs or something. Again, I'm active duty and every day I work and fight alongside every race, color and creed. Let me tell you there are some "decent" people who don't listen to Country music. Not everyone who listens to rap or Top 40 is a "thug." Comments like this ruined what could have been a powerful read. I am medical and work CASF (medical evacuation of our wounded warriors) I see too many stories like this. Our folks get hit, lose limbs, become disfigured and what our hero witnesses is all too real. I would have loved to be able to recommend the read to our heroes and their significant others but what I felt was thinly veiled racism was just too much for me. I still gave it 3 stars because of what the author attempted to do.
