Colton and Karena's online romance was sweet, intense, and had me on the edge of my seat wondering how or if things were going to work out. Colton was an absolute hunk and well written. How he treated Karena is how every woman wants to be treated. Karena had many doubts and for many good reasons. Just a nice, romantic, sweet relationship.

Neither Colton nor Karena believe in love, so a marriage of convenience seems to be the best option for both of them. The meet via a dating site and strike up a relationship. Over the course of the story, they learn that true love exists and that happiness can be found in a relationship. Colton is the first in the Army Wives series, and I love that we were introduced to Lucas and Miles and can not wait to to live their stories as well.

Very poorly edited, many errors that a proofreading would have fixed. Long, dull beginning sets up a character that just isn't very interesting, no goals other than marriage, no reason to invest in these people emotionally. I give the marriage two or three years.
A Game of Chase (a hilarious adventure for children ages 9-12) :: Reading Comprehension - Word Problems :: The Stinky Giant (Step into Reading) :: Jesus Is: Find a New Way to Be Human :: Teach Me (Southern Nights Book 1)

This was my first time reading any of this author's work, so I had no idea what to expect from the book. However, it can highly rated from an author friend of mine, so I decided to give it a go. I was glad I did. The premise was a bit different- military man basically is looking for a ready made wife, in order to make himself look more attractive to his superiors so that he can be promoted.
I have to commend the fact that he did go into the whole thing with an open mind, not expecting the best of the best, but that he was completely open and honest to the women he was advertising to, that he had certain expectations and this was basically a marriage of a business like nature, and not some fairy tale. Luckily his honesty paid off when he met the girl of his dreams online, who only wanted the same thing from life that he did, even if her reasons for getting into the whole mail order marriage thing were a bit different than his.
These two seemed to fit very well together, and did make for a believable couple, regardless of the way they were introduced to one another. They did seem to genuinely care for each other, and didn't just hop right in the sack based on their sexual chemistry. They seemed to have an actual connection, which always makes for a good read.
All in all, I was pleased with the way the story turned out, and look forward to reading about Lucas and Miles as well, particularly Miles as he is the most skeptical of love, it seems.

What happens when a disillusioned army special ops Ranger finds out the only chance he has of making captain before he turns 28 is to be married? Colton can barely stand to be in the presence of his parents who do little more than pretend to be happily married. He no longer believes that love between a man and woman exhists. So to get the promotion his father pushes him to achieve he will do whatever it takes, including puting an ad on a dating website.

After an evening of too much wine and disappointment in how her life is going Karena Harper inadvertently signs up for, and answers an ad for a wife on a dating site. The next day she is shocked to see who she is paired up with, having believed the picture of the man to be a stock photo for the site. She's even more surprised when her sarcastic message is answered by the gorgeous hunk of a man.

This is a really cute book with well developed characters and side kick characters, disfunctional families, a disillusioned man and woman and a sweet story line that brings two people together in a sort of kismet situation that just works for them. I absolutely loved this story and look forward to reading more from this author.

Audra Cole and KB Winters this book was amazing, loved it from page one till the very last page and was sad to see Karena and Hawk's story end.

This book was a modern day take on a mail order bride for Hawk. Hawk wants to move up in ranks in the military to captain and his CO suggests to him that the promotion is his but in order to lock it down Hawk should settle down, get married and start a family. Hawk sets his sight on just that by creating a profile on an online dating site, starting his profile with "I am looking for a wife", loved it. Out of hundreds of responses Hawk comes across, Karena, who is not only stunning but she has the same views on relationships as he does. Hawk and Karena spend time getting to know one another via emails, texts and online video chats, until Karena gets cold feet about the arrangements. Hawk is lost without her, even though they have never met, he does everything in his power to bring her back to him. Karena agrees to spend two weeks at Hawk's place to see if they have the same sparks together in person as they have over chats.

Will Hawk find the bride he is looking for Karena, or will it be so much more than that???

Loved this book

Being a former military wife.... This book.. YES! I can't say enough about it. From all of the in depth research that I'm confident the author did to the very real feels for each character. While this book is "fiction" I can't help but think back on all my military wife friends and think... Each one of us could be this story! Colton is an EPIC character. Strong, silent but oh so endearing and certainly book boyfriend worthy. Karena has a little bit of every woman who just wants to make their life better. At first I was skeptical that she was the right fit to Colton but darn if she wasn't! Her laid back ways compared to his strict and regimented... But they are the ying to the yang for eachother. While certainly not an insta love type of read, this is an epic, albeit unconventional, love story.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Colton-An Army Wifes Novel is the first book of Audra Cole's that I have read, and I enjoyed it. I like the idea of Colton trying to find a bride online. He didn't strike me as the guy that would do that kind of dating. Karena is just in a bad place living check to check. Being broke what caused her to entertain the idea of online dating. For some reason, they both clicked reading the introduction page. The need for more made the two of them want to give it a try, and I think both were surprised by what they found. I loved the fact Karena and Colton were willing to take a chance on love. I wish more was said what happened to Karena's friend Becca since she broke up with her boyfriend. Did Colton's parents ever come around? Otherwise, this is a lovely story with a surprise at the end. Colton a sweet read you will enjoy. I was gifted with a complimentary copy and here is my opinion.

Colton needs a wife to gain that promotion to the rank of Captain. Going at it straightforwardly, he signs up with an online matching service. Karena can't believe her eyes when she sees Colton's picture in an ad for a matching service online, and she's sure he must be a model. He's a model, all right -- a model soldier. They connect and the rest is history, but not without a good deal of angst and some considerable challenges. What starts out as a "job" for Karena, a job as a wife, becomes so much more as she and Colton find their HEA.

Colton is not an appreciative man when certain things are interrupted, but he handles it like a true gentleman and looks to his lady for her opinion, "the doorbell rang again, followed by a series of knocks. “Be right there!” Colton hollered down the hall. He looked back at me and ran a finger down the side of my face. “You want me to get rid of them?” I liked this book I thought Colton was a great guy.

First time reading Audra Cole but I love KB Winters and glad I read this one. I was not generally drawn to military romances like this but I did enjoy this book alot. Finding the kind of chemistry with another person without having actually met them has become much more commonplace these days so I didn't find it too farfetched. A good read!

Very much enjoyed this standalone hea. Would of like to see more of his family take and interaction maybe its family drama I craved. However that's my preference it wasn't suppose to be about his family. Great story line. Love the intersection and happiness protrude between Carlton and Karena

What a great story. Love these military stories. Was a little far fetched, but in this day and age, anything is possible in love. I read the ARC. I'll have to look up Audra Cole and read another of her books. Good teamwork ladies.

The story showed promise. A young soldier is looking for a bride. He places an online ad where he very openly defines his expectations. He finds Karena, a young woman who is struggling at life, and has very limited expectations of relationships. It's a cute story with a HEA ending. HOWEVER, the author obviously did little research when it comes to the military and Fort Benning. I was disappointed in the lack of effort by the author. If someone is going to write a military love story, I think that they need to understand how the military works or do the research to become informed. It was disappointing.

I enjoyed the book, it just seemed really fast paced and over before you know it. In glad I have kindle unlimited or I'd be disappointed I spent money on something I could read in one day. The characters and storyline were great, I just wish there was more of it.

WOW! Loved this book from the first chapter! I loved the story line for Colton and Karena as unconventional as it was! Both came from similar families without really knowing it, and loved that they were able to make it work. Can't wait to read the rest of the series to find out what happens!!
