Meet Rowdy Blanton. Hot as Hades, hometown hero, the kid from the wrong side of town who made in big as a pitcher in the majors, only to have his caeer it short under questionable circumstances.
Meet Breeanne Carlisle. Innocent, though not by her choosing. Born with a bad ticker, up until only a short time ago she lived her life on the inside looking out. But now that she has finally received a good bill of health she wants to live life to the fullest.
Find a mysterious hope chest at an estate sale, throw it into the mix, and you have the perfect recipe for creating the most unpredictable, and yet somehow perfectly suited couple.
From their inauspicious first meeting to learning to trust each other, their story will frustrate you at times and at others, make you laugh out loud.
Rowdy knows how and what buttons of Breeanne's to push, but the feisty writer proves she is no pushover, giving back just as good as she takes, knocking Rowdy's perceived perfect life off it's axis and making him rethink his concept of having it all.
Breeanne has spent years with her nose buried in books and Rowdy brings out of her new and exciting feelings that she must deal with knowing the man is a player and deciding whether or not to risk her heart in order to live in the moment despite the very real possibility her heart will be broken in the process.
The peripheral characters will have you guessing what they're up to and Breeanne learns a valuable lesson about trust when a betrayal happens that threatens her budding career as a writer as well as puts a screeching halt to her relationship with Rowdy.
Once again, Lori Wilde has created a well-written tale of love, hope, and family. This book is the first in the series and I can't wait to see what secrets the hope chest still holds.

Lori Wilde has started a new series in Stardust, Texas about the Carlyle Sisters. BITG is perfect for right now, if you like sports stories--this one is about Baseball. Rowdy Blanton has been attacked and can't pitch, Breeanne Carlyle has had heart issues but on the mend. Rowdy needs a ghostwriter and Breeanne gets the job, then the fun starts. The connections of these two are many and fun. Loved this story and can't wait for the other sister's stories. I was given this book for a fair review.
Thanks Lori Wildr & Good Writing

I just love this new series Stardust, Texas by Lori Wilde. A fast paced, hard to put down romance. I loved the banter between Breanne and Rowdy. Breanne is a dreamer who wants to be a writer. She believes in everlasting true love and Rowdy not so much. When the two of them are thrown together so Breanne can be the ghostwriter for Rowdy's autobiography the sparks begin to fly. I had to keep reading so I could see what would happen next and how it would all end. I loved the concept of the Hope Chest. Looking forward to the next book in the series!

One extroverted bachelor, a shy, quiet single lady, and one antique hope chest – mixed together make up an intriguing read. Ms. Wilde has combined romance, humor, a touch of drama and love of family to create not only an entertaining read, but also one that sizzles in all the right spots. Welcome to Stardust, Texas and its wonderful cast of characters! This reader looks forward to getting to know more of the residents of Stardust, Texas.

Breeanne and Rowdy are the perfect couple. If only they would believe it. She had never truly lived. Her family kept her in a bubble for 25 years and she wanted to break out. Rowdy always lived life to the fullest except for anything to do with giving his heart away. He didn't think there was room for a woman permanently in his life. He teased her and called her Breezy. Made her feel alive and daring. Can they put aside all the baggage and be happy together? They can with a little help from Fate.

Rowdy Blanton loves baseball. He loves women to. He is a player of all women. Breeann Carlyle is a plain jane, yet she has had a mad crush on Rowdy since she was a teenager. They meet in a funny way. They have alot of fun moments together. Can this playboy change his wandering ways for Breeanne? Read this wonderful book by Lori Wilde to find out. YOU will love it. I enjoyed all the baseball quotes to at the beginning of each chapter. Another great book. Can't wait to read the next one in this series!!

Welcome to Stardust, Texas, where Lori Wilde takes us in her new series. Rowdy Blanton, a former major league pitcher, returns to his hometown to write his autobiography after a brutal attack ends his career. He hires Breanne Carlyle, an aspiring writer and long time fan, as his ghostwriter. Sparks fly, as this sweet story of healing, both physical and emotional unfolds. With baseball, humor and a flirty love story, this was right up my alley. Thanks to Lori Wilde for this great read!

This one had me hooked right from the beginning. The characters are fantastic and so likeable. I could relate to Breanne a lot, not her surgeries, but he personality. I wish I could find my inner fire like she did. Rowdy is one yummy hero and throw in he's a ballplayer even better. Being a huge baseball fan myself I loved the baseball quotes before each chapter. It started off the Stardust, Texas series with a bang leaving you anxiously awaiting for the next book.

Rowdy is an ex-pitcher for MLBs Gunslingers. Breeanne is a writer hired to tell Rowdy's story. She has always been a huge baseball fan and an even bigger fan of hometown favorite Rowdy. While I enjoy a good baseball game myself you do not have to be a baseball fan to enjoy this book. I literally laughed out loud several times while reading this book. I love romance and I love humor/comedy. What a great combination. Rowdy won my heart almost from the beginning and Breeanne is kind of a underdog and very sweet. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. I received an advance copy of this book. I have not been compensated for this review.

I am always excited when a new series starts. Lori Wilde's newest series (Stardust, Texas) didn't let me down. Just like with her other series, I found the characters fun and engaging. Rowdy and Breeanne showed us the human sides to both baseball and illness. Add a little magic to the equation, and you have a worthwhile read. I don't know how Lori does it; but her novels are always winners in my book. I received her book in exchange for my honest review; but I already many of her books in my library. I am a die-hard fan of Lori Wilde!! This book will make for a fun springtime read.

Ever wonder what happens a book worm / tomboy meets her baseball idol to ghost write his biography? Actually it's pretty hilarious.
My favorite part of Rowdy and Breanne's story is how they compliment each other's personalities. I love stories that make you laugh in the middle of reading it. You won't be sorry you bought it.

I loved the new Stardust, Texas series. The characters and story were well developed, and the story moved along quickly. I even stayed up til 5:00 a.m. reading, and that's rare for me. Lori Wilde, as always, has produced another hit, and with baseball season right around the corner, I'm ready to play ball!

This is the heartwarming story of Rowdy, a professional baseball player, and Breanne, a hometown girl who hasn’t been out in the world. Rowdy has a reputation with the ladies and Breanne is the shy and naïve girl next door. The chemistry between the two is evident right from the start. Lori Wilde does a great job of keeping you entertained while helping each of them work through their issues and fall in love with the help of a little bit of mystery and magic. A great read and I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

A wonderful start to Lori's new Stardust, Texas series! The chemistry between Rowdy, an ex-pitcher, and Breeanne, a writer that works in her family's bookstore, is absolutely delicious! Rowdy is in need of a ghostwriter to write his biography and Breeanne is just the woman for the job! This book is a great combination of love, friendship, family, with a splash of mystery. I would most definitely recommend this book! Lori is an amazing author and can't wait for the next book in this series!

Another heart-warming story from Ms. Wilde. The characters were believable, the relationship between them written beautifully and the little bit of magic just added to the story. I was glad to have the hands to read this story.

If you like light hearted romance, tightknit family, books and baseball, this is the story for you. A contemporary 'dashing rouge falls for the sweet, mousey innocent' story in which falling in love makes them both become better people. Throw in a blackmailing bad guy and just a touch of magic and you have a thoroughly enjoyable read. ( Contains a few adults only scenes. ) This book was a gift I very much enjoyed receiving.

Love and baseball. Can it get any better? Lori Wilde starts off this new series with an excellent story. I highly recommend this book. I can't wait for the next installment to see what the hope chest has in store!! I read this book in one day. I just couldn't put it down.

Back in the Game is another homerun for Lori Wilde. It lets readers know that you don't have to be the most beautiful person in the world to be be the most beautiful to someone. And that the truth almost always comes out so let it set you free.

Such a cute story full of laughs and steamy moments. I really enjoyed the characters in the book and I look forward to catching glimpses of them in the future Stardust, TX novels. If you like baseball and romances this is the perfect book for you. Baseball is a large part of this book but not so much that non sports fans won't be able to enjoy it.

A whimsical, fun start to a promising new series! Lori Wilde brings to life the Carlyle family and the town of Stardust, Texas in a way that definitely makes a return visit a must. This book has it all: a mystical hope chest, a spunky heroine, a hot, damaged hero, humor and a good bit of fun sexual tension. I liked that there was a bit of whimsy to the story and that the heroine wasn't perfect, it was fun getting to go with Breeanne on her journey of self-discovery. Rowdy was cocky but it was easy to like him right from the start and seeing him discover that love wasn't a weakness was smoothly done. If your new catch phrase isn't "nut bunnies" after you read this book I will be really surprised....read the book and you'll see what I mean. :) Enjoy.

Lori does it again. The romance between Breanne and Rowdy was packed full of innocence, laughter, intrigue, and frustration. Breanne surprised me entirely with a very intact genteel backbone. I was happy she was so willing to get out of her comfort zone. Rowdy just flat out impressed me from the beginning, even when he had his "guy" moments. He is what most women dream of. I love a romance that can make me laugh, and keeps me "zoned" until the very end.

I loved this book!
New York Times bestselling author Lori Wilde welcomes you to Stardust, Texas . . . where dreams come true and love is always right around the corner
Wanted: ghostwriter. Must be female, a baseball fan, and have a great pair of legs.
Ex-pitcher Rowdy Blanton never saw a woman he couldn't conquer or a team he couldn't beat. And now that he's off the field he's ready to tell all about when he played the field. So he chooses Breeanne Carlyle to do the job—she's got the requirements, but more important, there's something about her that makes him want to be a better man.
Convinced there's more to Rowdy than a good fastball, a wicked smile, and a tight pair of pants, Breeanne can't help but be tempted. After all, it's boring always being the good girl, and Rowdy dares her to be just a little bad. The stakes are high, but win or lose, this time Breeanne's breaking all the rules playing the game of love.
I loved the characters, This is the 1st in a series and I highly recommend reading it, I can't wait for the next one to come out!

A new series from Lori Wilde set in Stardust, Texas featuring a former MLB pitcher Rowdy Blanton and his autobiography ghostwriter Breeanne Carlyle. Breeanne has had a crush on Rowdy since she was a kid and when she gets to know the real Rowdy it becomes more than a crush. Breeanne is very close to her parents and her three sisters so I can't wait to read the rest of the series! There are a lot of great baseball references used but you certainly don't have to be a baseball fan to enjoy this story. You won't be disappointed with this book!

I got this as a belated Valentine gift. Ms. Wilde writes a sweet, funny, sexy tale about a former baseball player and a bookish innocent. She described their interactions in wonderful detail. The characters are very realistic and are people you would love to have in your own life. This is a got-to-read if contemporary sweet/funny/sexy with a touch of erotic is your bag. I loved it.

This is a brand new series called Stardust, Texas by the author and it just continues with her wonderful writing and characters. Rowdy is an injured ball player who hires BreeAnne to ghost write his autobiography. She is really a modern day Jane Austen, which is what he calls her. I laughed and cried throughout this story and I cannot wait until the next one.

Breeanne has always been sick, meek, and mild. She was willing to let everyone else control her life. She loves to write, wants to learn to live life on her own, and on the edge.
Rowdy has always been in control, self-centered, and living life out loud. After a career ending injury and loss of sense of self, Rowdy seems to be floundering. He has deep dark secrets that he isn’t willing to share, until Breeanne has become his ghostwriter.
Caught in a tangle of lies and pushing each other’s boundaries, Rowdy and Breeanne learn that they really do have a lot to learn. They push through and see their own power and the power they have over each other.
I love Back in the Game: A Stardust, Texas Novel. It shows the power of love and the iron will people have to move beyond their past and live in the here and now.
