Jeremy Robinson writes a fairly good story. I'm not sure that I am really emotionally involved with the cast of characters, but find his books including 'Island 731' readable. I don't feel transported by his prose, but do find that I can remain interested enough to finish the story and not feel as if I wasted a read. Try it if you like supernatural happenings surrounded by scientific zealousness with evil as the driving force.

The book was entertaining, but it definitely wasn't one where I couldn't put it down. Comparing it to some of James Rollins' early books, the characters weren't as compelling, and the premise was a bit too far removed from reality.

This book starts out fast and never slows down! The plot was great and was carried out brilliantly! The characters were just common scientists put into a situation that is way over their heads and completely out of their control! I look forward to more books by Jeremy Robinson and his other author pen name Jeremy Bishop.

This was an entertaining book to read and finished this in less than a week. Mr Robinson based his story after the real island of 731 where the Japanese operated. I look forward to reading more of Jeremy Robinsons books.

Not up to the standards of Robinson's earlier works. Too many characters, too many chimeras, main characters not fully developed. Plot explanation involving Bennett is also somewhat thin. Disappointing.

This one moves faster than a rocket & the journey is anyhting but smooth.
Though the plot is hardly new , the execution is. All the books by this author are good but this one moves still further. Chimera's ...with a conscience , it's really a page turner with very sweet/basic human values thrown in.
Highly recommended . Guaranteed that you'll finish it sooner than you planned. Enjoy !!!!

Very good read and even though some of the experiments were a little far-fetched, the book is written well enough as to make it believable. I like that his book have some basis in fact. Kept me on the edge of my seat!

Premise: Pacific research vessel investigating the mid-Pacific Garbage Patch runs adrift on hidden island that housed a Unit 731 biological research facility for the Japanese military in WWII and encounters genetically engineered monsters. The author has a decent enough writing style and I initially liked the idea of a surviving remnant of Unit 731 running amok into modern times, but the "monsters" are patently ridiculous and preposterous. Kind of like a direct to video horror movie in book form. Good sci-fi must be reasonably believable in the context of plausible science (i.e., Jurassic Park), this book doesn't make the cut.

This author is like a good man.......he's definitely worth the wait to find, and when you do he never let's you down or dissappoints; he always keeps you entertained and is full of wonderful surprises; and, he always make you happy so you never want to replace him as your No. 1.
My only criticism of him is that I think each book he writes should be part of a trilogy! I love his characters and want to have more time with each and every one of them on continuous adventures. Robinson has truly earned his spot along side James Rollins and David Lynn Golemon as one of the most talented, entertaining authors on the market today!

Jeremy has put together a creepy, fast paced story that embellishes an actual every in history. It kept me entertained and reading well into the night. I highly recommend this to anyone who likes awesome monsters! I guarantee it will keep you reading but leave the light on. Also check out Jeremy's other books. He is a very talented writer. Enjoy!!

If you like to read about people who react differently than normal human beings this might be to your liking. There is no explanation for the reactions that these characters had. If there had been a train speeding at them they would have jumped in front of it and tried to stop it with their hands. The plot jumps from one ridiculous twist to another. I found myself skimming through the "exciting" confrontations which are described in excruciating detail and about as improbable as the main plot which I will not exposed.
