My boys love Goodnight, Goodnight, construction site. After seeing Stream Train, Dream Train on the store they asked for this too. I don't think they will ever love it as much as the first book which has a special place in their heart but they like it enough to ask for it to be read at night. I also took it to the Kindergarten class and the whole class loved the book.

This version doesn't compare to the original, but still a cute book. My 2 yr old likes it, because he likes anything about trains; however the colors seem a little off to me and the "story" is just meh.

Adorable story and beautiful pictures of the animals as they are on their way to dreamland. Our Grandson loves to have us read it to him, he loves trains and animals, and the story is very well written in some verse.

We love Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site. This is not nearly as good. It's the same author/ illustrator team using the same rhythm pattern and art medium- it's just not such a good story. The idea of a dream train is good, but the execution is poor.

My son loves Goodnight Construction Site & I thought this would be a great addition to our collection. He likes it just fine, but I feel like I'm fumbling over the words sometimes since they don't seem to flow as easily as I would think they would with a children's book

Purchased two copies of Steam Train, Dream Train along with two copies of Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site after reading Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site to my grandchildren one night. I have learned that Stream Train, Dream Train has been a required nightly read along with Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site since the books were received by the grandchildren.

The grand kids love this story. It is easy comprehension and sparks their imagination. It was a nightly favorite for 2 weeks before they requested others. But they still come back to this and "Good Night Construction Site" , I think too that the illustrations keep them engaged in the story.

We have a rather larege selection of children's books for our 2 year old son. As of late this has been a favorite. He loves pointing out all the animals by name, calling out the colors of the elephants, etc. This book has a lot to engage the mind of this age group.

My Son's new favorite book, granted he loves trains, but the page turnings are difficult.
Clicking the text brings it to a readable size but often it takes 2-3 times to get it to work and the pages won't turn easily until you have clicked the text-In order

My grandson is crazy about Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site so I thought I'd buy another book by the same author. He has a whole set of Thomas the Train cars, both wooden and metal, and this book nicely complements his love of trains. The illustrations are truly beautiful.

I actually purchased two copies, one for my two year old grandson and one for my three year old grandson (they are cousins and live in different cities). They both liked the book very much, and the beautiful and humorous illustrations are interesting yet soothing for a bedtime read.

Our grandson is in love with trains. Consequently, we chose this book thinking he would enjoy it. We were correct. He reads it over and over again. Not bad I'd say for a shot in dark and it speaks for its appeal to his age group and interests.

The pictures will capture your child's attention as you read the story to them. That is why the pictures are there! Keeping a child's interest in books gets them interested in reading when they are able to do so by theirselves. Can you imagine your child picking up this book. First, they will "read" it by looking at the great illustrations. Eventually, they will follow along with the words. Then, they will read it on their on. Highly recommended!

My husband has passed on his train hobby and love of trains to our children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren! I read this book to three of my youngest grandchildren ages 4-1/2, 3, and 2. They loved the rhyming, the colors, the animals, and of course the train cars. I would recommend this book to anyone with young children. They ask me to read this book to them each time they visit!!!

Our four year old grandson loves steam trains, especially since we rode one together last Christmas. This is the ideal bedtime story book for him, along with "Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site". He wants both of them read to him every night and now can "read" along. Great illustrations too!
