Some Were In Time: Shift Happens Book Two

I really liked the first book and thought why not continue to the next book. The beginning (first chapter/second chapter) were alright and then it just started to roll down hill and just kept rolling and rolling until I had to shut the book to due the insane and ridiculous things I was reading. I couldn't get past the cows... yeah, no.

The gang is back and more ridiculous than ever. I'm almost sure this book is offensive to everyone everywhere...or is that every were? Anyway, between the Gay Vampyre Dwayne and gender ambiguous, deadly farting, were cows....I just can't, literally, I can't. And frankly that doesn't even begin to skim the surface of the over the top insanity that is this story. There are plot holes large enough to ride a were cow through, particularly when you add this installment to the events to the last one. It is just something you have to go with.

Do I recommend this though? That is a tough one, it isn't going to be for everyone that is for sure. But if you like the ridiculous, zany, and over the top, this may be the book for you. We've got heart warming happily ever afters for a large number of characters, villains were vanquished, mysteries were solved, and I can't even begin to explain what all else.

Jesus Hesus Christ, where does Peterman come up with this stuff? And where the heck are my happily ever afters for Dwayne, Junior, Dami and Granny? Because I seriously want them.

Yep. Locked and loaded. It was all kinds of awesome. I was a girl who was wildly in love with her mate. HOLY WHAT THE WEREBATMAN!!! Robyn has not only outdone herself with the sayings & humor (which I personally did not think she could do!), but this kickbutt story never had the chance to dragon & on due to the pawesomely wolftastic storyline! And that's no bull!! Puns fully intended! This packed one helluva powerful story that seemed to explode right at you, time & again. So much emotion, humor, romance, friendship, unlikely allies & enemies, twists & turns and so many more parts & pieces that are hard to even put a name to! Of course you can’t forget all of the paranormal species and their abilities, powers as well as their own brand of logic & humor. They all pawfectly blend together to give an already fangtastically rich storyline even more to enable the reader to submerge themselves completely into the story! Speaking of which - Oh please don't make me laugh! It hurts to laugh because I think I busted a rib or 2 & split my gut from laughing so much! I read Ready to Were (book 1) then this one but I think it was too much for my poor sense of humor! I od'd on laughter!! But WOW! What a way to go! But then I was brought to great heaving, gasping-for-air sobbing that hurt any other muscles not already affected! WOW! No words can say how flabbergasted & devastated I felt in a couple of parts! And I have no intention of giving you even a hint at why either. Suffice it to say that both of those emotional extremes add further proof - as if you needed any! - at just how fangtabulous of an author Robyn is! To have you so connected to the story & the characters that you not only laugh, cry and everything in between for them, but WITH them. To me, I feel like I am right there with them, experiencing it almost firsthand - just need some more *ahem* one-on-one time with *cough* Hank *cough* to get it all nailed down. Pun fully intended. *OW OW OW OOOOOOWWW!!! Alright already! Geez Essie, I get the point – no touchy or eyeballing your man! I promise I won’t do it again! But you do have to admit he is one slice of HUNKY HUNK pie! Hell he IS the whole pie! OW!!!* I cannot wait for the next furrific book! But in the meantime - Shift Happens!!

Some Were In Time by Robyn Peterman is the second book in her Shift Happens series and it did not disappoint.
It was filled with Robyn's trademark snarky humor and inventive imagination - "werecows" anyone?. Essie is trying to plan her wedding to Hank but apparently some one wants her dead. Essie and Hank work together along with some new allies to find out who is behind the plot and get the wedding planning back on track.
Over the top paranormal mystery filled with lots of laughs and romance make this another winner. If you loved the first book in this series, you will really LOVE this one.

Full of charm, witty dialogue, our favorite characters plus some freaking awesome new Weres. I loved how engrossing this story was. It was addicting and freaking AMAZING. Peterman creates one of a kind stories that will leave your sides in stitches from laughing so hard, and sighing and squirming as Hank and Essie try not to romp on each other (yea like that doesn't happen often *giggles*). This is creative and imaginative writing at its best. I freaking LOVE Robyn Peterman.

Is this book silly and outrageous? Abso-freaking-lutely. I'm pretty sure that's the point. I didn't read this book because I was looking for a thought provoking "what's the point of life" kind of story. I wanted funny, and this book delivered. I love that it takes nothing seriously, that its full of eye rolling humor. It's pun-tastic. Also, I have to note, I will be trying to fit douchecanoe into my daily vocabulary. If you're looking for silly, over the top humor, then this is the book for you.

This latest offering from Ms Peterman is an outrageously over –the- top laugh-aloud riot! I do not remember when I laughed so often or so hard while reading a book. The characters have been extended to include, I kid you not, digestively-challenged androgynous Were-Cows and kamikaze Were-Pigeons; the madcap and mayhem adventures were totally irresistible and visualizing possible musical tribute to “Twilight” which would involve poles and nipple- less sequinsed bras left me in tears. This series is pure fun and I so look forward to more from Essie, Hank and their cavalcade of lovable lunatics.

Bwahahaha!!! Laugh out loud, giggling like a maniac and so on. This author takes hilarious to a new level. I never knew that there were so many words for farting. Seriously, deadly cow farts and poisonous horns are the new black.

I highly recommend this hilarious book/series. You won't be disappointed.

Werewolves, Dragons, Pigeons, oh my!!! What an awesome read. Funny, snarky, sexy, suspenseful. I just love this series. Robyn make it seem like they are actually real. How awesome would that be. Audiobook review: Some Were in Time is a wildly entertaining, sassy, and sardonic story with Essie and her rag tag crew. I’d have to say Duane, the gay vampire drag queen, is probably my favorite inappropriate character of all time. Throw in mad Were Cows with exploding trouser sneezes, a crazy granny, a new alpha, and a cocky female dragon and you have quite the story, not to mention the side story of a few different mysteries to solve. The narrator did an awesome job as well.

Before I start reading a Robyn Peterman book, I prepare myself for some crazy, hilarious, outlandish characters that for the most part fumble, rumble, & tumble through their day-to-day existence. Robyn's unique writing style and keen sense of humor has me laughing out throughout the book. It's a pleasure to be able to occasionally step away from real life and read some crazy, funny Shift stuff!!!

Essie, Hank and the whole gang are back! Robyn Peterman has done it again. She's brought us another non-sucktastic book that will leave you in tears. Who knew the H stood for Hesus?! Can't wait to see what else her brilliantly warped mind can come up with next!

These characters are a dern trip, and I just love them together! The crazier it got, the funnier it got. I really hated to see this book end. Can't wait to see what adventures are in store with the wedding and everything else. Every character in this book is as loveable and crazy as the next. Please give us another book soon!!! ❤❤❤❤

Another adventure of Hank and Essie, yes please. Watching them paired with Granny and Dwayne is so much fun. You can see the team is complete. Unfortunately their feud with the dragons is far from over. More vamps, werecows, wolves, dragons and more OH MY

This is my first read of Robyn Peterman. This book kept me laughing and trying to guess what happens next. If you enjoy light hearted, "cheesy" stories with were wolves, 300 yr old gay Vampyre, and dragons, you should add this to your list. I will definitely search out other titles by Robyn Peterman.

Ok. Thank you Ms Peterman for the length. Second book was better than the first and this is not always easy. Once again love the Snarky Essie. Hank is pull that talk dark awesome role very well. Just have to mention the cows. (This was mind blowing amongst other things. Wink Wink) Can't wait for the next book. Please write faster.
