Frozen Big Golden Book (Disney Frozen)

My kids love reading this book. The story is pretty true to the movie, as opposed to other versions that leave a lot out. Both of my kids (4 and 7) love this version. In addition to the story being consistent with the movie, the illustrations are wonderful! I would totally recommend this version of the Frozen book to anyone whose kids want to relive the movie in a book.

My youngest daughter had her Frozen book stolen from her when she took it to school. She was very upset because she loved that book. It hurt me to my heart that she was so distraught, so I did the daddy thing and made it better by purchasing this book that replaced her "lost" one. Now she sleeps with and keeps it besides her bed when she is not reading it. Mission Accomplished.

This is an inexpensive choice for little girls (toddlers) who are Frozen fans. The narrative is sufficient without being too wordy. There's a risk for confusion when the words talk of things that are not in the pictures. That happened once or twice but not too often. This is not literature. This is a short summary of a Disney movie. It's fine, I guess, but as with such books the charm and humor is mostly missing.

My daughter is still Frozen obsessed even after all this time. She absolutely loves all things Anna and Elsa. This is her favorite book and has been for over a year. We read it again and again...and never get tired of it!

These Big Golden Books are absolutely fantastic. They mirror the movie in great detail. The illustrations are wonderful. You really get the complete story in these - not one of the super short abridged ones.

These books take several minutes to read because they're so thorough. They're great for some QT with the kiddos!

After purchasing the Frozen Little Golden Book and being incredibly disappointed with that because it was missing entire chunks of the story, I purchased this Big Golden Book version and we LOVE it! My daughter asks to read it everyday. This provides a very detailed summary of all the movie scenes and important events, including Anna and Elsa playing in the snow Elsa created and when their parents took Anna to the trolls, the coronation and the discovery of Elsa's magic, Elsa creating the ice palace, Kristoff and Anna's adventures trying to find Elsa, Elsa accidentally hitting Anna in the heart with ice, their visit to the trolls, Hans' betrayal, and Anna saving Elsa that shows the act of true love. I love that this story/movie doesn't focus on the typical true love that we all think of in all the other Disney movies, but on the true love between sisters and sacrificing yourself to help someone else. So it also has a great message behind it. The text per page is appropriate and keeps the child's interest throughout.

The illustrations are absolutely stunning and so color-rich, especially the ice castle, and the illustrations are very bright, detailed, and engaging while staying true to the animation of the movie. Overall, this is a fantastic Frozen book and excellent quality. Highly recommended for Frozen fans!

...the only downside (tongue in cheek), is that it is VERY detailed. I bought this for a friend's daughter for her birthday, and flipping through it (and later confirmed), I knew if you read the whole thing, it would be a solid 20 minute read. Not a "quick" good night book! But the 4-year old girl LOVES it, apparently!

My daughter saw this book at dance class and loved it. She was so excited to find it at home. She likes to look at the pictures & read it to me & her dad. She's 3. I think the book & it's pictures are great.

This is my daughter's favorite book at the moment. It is the perfect length for her (3.5 years old) so be aware, this may be too long for the attention span of a younger child. Love the illustrations, and it seems to follow the movie plot very well! Love this book!
