Brady Remington Landed Me in Jail

Loved this book. Tijan once again created two characters Rayna and Brady and wove a story around them that captivated me for an entire afternoon. Rayna is a sheltered graduating senior in love with her best friend Brady. Brady is the town bad boy; a fighter, promiscuous, but lovable. Throw in Rayna's grandparents, Kid, even a deputy and a few classmates, and it's a good cast.

After another arrest and bail-out by Rayna, Brady shows a moment of vulnerability and that's all it takes for Rayna to surrender her virginity. Everything changes between the best friends and Rayna's life goes from being simple to overwhelming confusion within days. Their journey during the last week of Rayna's senior year is such an entertaining read. I couldn't get enough of Rayna and Brady. This is a little lighter than many Tijan books, but not emotional fluff. Still deals with emotional pain, secrets, lies, betrayals, love. It's remarkable how much can change in a week. The book is an emotional roller coaster, and I loved the ride. So much so that I would like another ride, maybe during the college years (and include Kid).

Rayna went to get her best friend, Brady, out of jail, again. This time, the consequences of his actions were real. Charges were going to be pressed against him. He had beat up his other childhood best friend Kid, sending him to the hospital.

She had a terrible crush on Brady. When he started to make a move on her she tried to resist but couldn't. She lost her virginity to him in a car. Their lives just got even more complicated.

Rayna had not had any contact with her mother for over 6 years. Her mother had been labeled a slut in their small town so she moved to Florida. Rayna's mother brought her to live with her grandparents. Brady lived with his foster parents next door to Rayna. They knew everything about each other. She was bookish and he was a charismatic partier. Rayna preferred not to hang out with his friends.

Kid was back in town, Brady beat him up several times, and Rayna was clueless.

Another great book from Tijan. It's full of angst, good times, sad times and laugh out loud times (courteous of Viola). Brady is the life of the party. Rayna is quiet and a bit naive. But they have been best friends forever. Taking a friendship to the next level is often complicated and full of drama. I so recommend this book to anyone who hasn't read it. You will absolutely loveeeee it.

This book is just horrible. The girl is so annoying and ignorant. I'm not even sure what the plot is. Maybe just another story about a girl that lets a disrespectful man whore walk over her. No thanks.

Tijan is obviously a seriously talented author I have read a couple of her books and I love all of them. This book kept me up most the night so I could finish it. It grabs you from the start and you fall in love with the characters. The style of writing is perfect it fits the characters ages and personalities to make it all sound natural and believable. I would highly recommend this
