A new Kathryn Dance novel is lukewarm. Missing most of the great Deaver twists and turns. It's just not up to some of the high Deaver standards he has set. There were none of the great Kathryn Dance breakthroughs we've been lead to expect. All in all, it's a fair effort by Deaver. Not his best offering by far.

Jeffery Deaver is one of my favorite authors. His books are always made to keep you on edge. Just when you think you have it all figured out he throws you a curve out of left field you don't see coming.

I love Jeffrey Dever's writing. Dance is good and I love that she is a great heroine who may finally begin to put her personal life back together. And O'Neill is a perfect match for her. Can't wait for the next one Mr Dever! Also looking forward to another Rymes & Sachs thriller!
The Steel Kiss (A Lincoln Rhyme Novel) :: The Twelfth Card (A Lincoln Rhyme Novel) :: A Lincoln Rhyme Short Story (Kindle Single) - A Textbook Case :: The Vanished Man: A Lincoln Rhyme Novel, Book 5 :: The Coffin Dancer: A Novel (Lincoln Rhyme)

I shouldn't have been surprised. Deaver is a phenomenal author, but I have avoided the Kathryn Dance books. I thought these stories could not compare to those featuring Lincoln Rymes. I was so wrong.

As with all novels by Jeffery Deaver, the action starts on page one and is sustained throughout the story. Catherine Dance is a familiar and sympathetic central character. Her analysis of the body language is fascinating. For Deaver fans, this is a must read.
