A Complete Self-Study Course for All Musicians (Book & 2 CDs)

Great book for self-learning music theory from the ground up.

I studied theory for a short time when I was young, but had forgotten most of it. This book is all I needed to relearn what was lost and go far beyond that too.

The layout of single page lessons with half page explanations and half page exercises is great. Especially since all the answers are given in the back of the book so you can see if you've got it right.

Also has a number of ear training on cd.

Highly recommended for anyone - if you are starting from scratch or just reviewing what you already learning

I found this book to be very comprehensive. A great resource for teaching music theory. I have been teaching music for over 10 years and have found this to be the most complete and user friendly theory resource so far.

An excellent book--clearly written, with lots of study/practice exercises to help in memorizing the material. The ear training is also very helpful in understanding concepts that might otherwise not be clear.

I thought I would buy this self-study course because my mother is a panist and until she had a stroke in 1993 she played for her church. Well although she could play, she never learned to read. Just thought that this would give her something to do and she LOVES IT!!! It is easy to follow and understand. Glad I brought it!!!
