I completely fell head over heels in love with the characters. A very well written story is one thing, but an epic journey of good vs. Evil with a powerful love story is simply addictive. I found myself getting edgy if I didn't get my "Elemental time".

This is a great series. The universe Elizabeth Hunter created is very interesting and the characters really kept me interested. I read all of the books one after another. This has action, humor, romance all in a well developed paranormal universe.

I was recommend this book by two separate people and for some reason dragged my feet. Then I started reading and found myself intrigued by the mysterious start as we watch this man work in the library by using someone else. I wasn't sure how the feel of the book was yet and so kept reading. I was hooked! Gio and Beatrice captivated me and I couldn't put this books down. I read 1-3 in the series over the course of 3-4 days before I finally took a break because otherwise I would get in completes on assignments that were waiting for my attention.
The world building in this series is phenomenal. This is our world reimagined with magic and creatures already familiar to us but presented in a new and unique way. The detail was superb and the storyline enthralling.
Beatrice is a strong female lead and she did not annoy me. I enjoyed becoming her and living the story as her (we all do it don't we? lol). Gio, oh Gio. A wonderful strong brooding male lead with dimension and a great air of mystery. These characters and all the supporting characters were written with such depth that they came to life. I believed their actions, I understood them and I felt for them.
There were parts in here that in my opinion related to another well known story and the use of that made me laugh and smile, loved it so much.
The scene that grabbed me the hardest and still stands out from the first book is the elevator scene. You will know it when you read it.
I HIGHLY recommend this series. In fact I suggest buying the 4 book bundle but the first book in the series is FREE so you can grab it and see if you get as hooked as I did.
The Pros:
-Strong female (kick some butt type of strong) and male leads that had depth and didn't annoy.
-Characters that evolve and grow with the story.
-Well thought out story that wraps up nicely after 4 books but welcomes the continuation of the world through other books an characters.
-Really well done world building, based off of our current one.
-Well completed story arcs.
-Great romantic chemistry and a couple you can fall in love with.
-Surprised me greatly, so not just a typical story format.
-A supporting cast that is just as well written with just as much depth leaving you wanting more of them.
-You can completely immerse yourself in the books.
Cons:
I really can't remember any at this time, lol.
This series really captured my attention and I know I will be plunging into the spin offs from it because I can't stand leaving them just yet and I want to get to know the other characters just as much as I know Beatrice and Gio.

Thoroughly enjoyed The Elemental Mysteries. Very glad that the store offered the complete series for my Kindle. I had purchased the series before going on an extended trip to Seattle. Finished the series in 10 days. Each book left me with the need to read the next one! As a fan of Deborah Harkness, I found these books to be similar in subject matter, characters and story--which is a very good thing!

I enjoyed theses books. They were easy to read and follow. Loved the main characters. They were fast paced Would have liked Beatrice to have inflicted a little physical havoc on Livia. Am really liking Tenzin. Even felt some sympathy for Lorenzo. By far loved the relationship and sparring between Beatrice and Gio. Wold have lover it if somehow Beatrice and Gio could have conceived a child. Am feeling sad that I finished the series. Felt as if they were friends.

The Characters are brilliant. The story is so easy to lose yourself in. I will now buy all books Elizabeth Hunter because of her amazing story writing ability. I am hoping there are more books about Tenzin she is my favorite Character.

Finishing the series felt like I was saying goodbye to a dear friend. From the very first page to the very last- all of the characters became alive. The author had the perfect blend of adventure, excitement, suspense and the true meaning of 'family'. At times I laughed so hard I had water coming out my nose. Other times I had to hold back tears. Kudos to you, Ms. Hunter, for drawing a reader in and weaving magic with your words. I did not want this to end.

started out with the 1st book free on kindle.....was reluctant to buy the series, waited several days, read other books, but couldn't get the storyline out of my head. finally gave in & bought it....I really like that its a more grown up story, not a bunch of teenage vamps. bringing the elements in really give the story more depth & a different perspective. I loved it!!! I've had my kindle for almost 3 yrs & this is the first series I've ever bought. I always read the free books.

Can't wait to read the other novels written about this world. Hunter 's characters are deep and dynamic, their relationships real and funny and loving and heated. I highly recommend this series if you like paranormal fantasy and romance.

While on the whole I enjoyed the story and characters, I was incredibly annoyed by needlessly having to mentally correct simple things. Your and you're. Your belongs to you. You're: you are. Small things, I know. Best wishes Elizabeth Hunter. You tell a good tale and I hope you eventually find a fantastic editor.

not into so much sexual activity.
But.... love her storyline.
So I will continue to speed through that. lol
love the density of her people. I did not say characters. because they read as people. I enjoy their lives.

The first book of this series appeared on my kindle and I dint remember buying it. I finally decided t ok read it thinking it was just a romance novel and I would kill some time. I realized quickly that it was a smart, suspenseful, drama that had much more than romance. I can't believe the whole series was only 10 dollars. Very good, but addicting read.
