When Pigs Move In is a book everyone should read. Many people's lives are affected by demonic oppression and Don Dickerman gives a very Biblical perspective on the Power of the Holy Spirit to free people. His personal experience of being used by God to free thousands of people (including the Son of Sam Killer, David Berkowitz) from demonic influence is an unforgettable read. This book is a great example of how a Christian can use their God-given authority to change the lives of those oppressed by Satan and his demons. This book should be in every born again Christian's possession.

I would recommend this book to anyone who wants learn and understand this subject more.
The stories are incredible and they are real. It is also sad to know that there are so many suffering but there is hope and victory for all who come to know, understand and believe in our savior

This is a very informative book, but everyone is not on the level, so make sure you are prepared to read and be open to receive what thus says the Lord. We must always see things in the spirit to identify the natural. Great book!

I highly recommend this book to any believer. If you know nothing of the kingdom of darkness it will open your eyes to the truth. If you know a little about the kingdom of darkness this will add more to your knowledge.

If you are a non-believer pay attention as you read it just may make a believer out of you.

I read a lot of books on ministering deliverance years ago and learned a lot, but they were not for new believers... This book was much easier to understand and had a lot of great information... AND really interesting as well. I would recommend it to ANY pastor, teacher, or Christian counsellor. Don Dickerman's web site has a lot of good products as well.

You can never get done learning what you should have known yesterday. My people perish for lack of knowledge. The battle can be tiring and this book has lots of information ....I had to buy the other one too after reading them at the library.... Wow ! Get wisdon , get understanding, get free, stay free. Enjoyed reading this book. I found it informational and thorough in describing deliverance and providing insight into what happens in the process and why. Easy to understand and had lots of examples. It was well written.

Not filling the house with the fruit of the spirit, is like leaving the door for the pigs and all of their demon friends to move back in and run amuck. Each day you have a choice of whom you will serve, you live what you believe.

In his book "When Pigs Move In" Don Dickerman gives a strong straight forward call to the church to get involved in the scriptural ministry of deliverance of individuals from demonic oppression.

Don discusses his journey from conventional ministry to miraculous manifestations of a loving God at work today through chosen vessels, anointed men and women with unique spiritual gifts of healing and deliverance.

"When Pigs Move In" parallels stories of healing and deliverance today with New Testament examples of healing and the casting out of demons. The book sets forth the principles Jesus taught by example as He healed and ministered deliverance. Don describes how he was energized with a holy boldness in his first encounter while confronting Satan, the kingdom of darkness, sickness, and of disease in a ministry of deliverance.

Dickerson explains demon "access points" which allow entry into believers through such things as: Generational curses, mental disorders, addictions, religious spirits, early childhood trauma, anger, pornography, immorality, un-confessed sin, lust, and the occult.

In the following chapters Don goes on to share evidences of demon activity, examples of modern day demon possession. He then relates real life examples of miraculous healing and powerful testimonies of deliverances.

Part II of the book focuses on the "nuts and bolts" of deliverance. Don shows how turmoil in the temple (the church or our physical body as a temple) results when defiled by sin and evil thinking. He alerts pastors of impending spiritual battles and identifies who Satan is, his claims, and his ultimate doom.

I found the chapters describing scriptural deliverance and correct terminology especially interesting and informational. Don concludes the book with a number of freedom principles, a section on the dangers of pledges and oaths, and an importance appendix.

"When Pigs Move In" provides important and timely evidence of the believers call to involvement in spiritual warfare by recognizing the cause, resisting the devil and remaining free of Satan's bondage.

It is a guide book and training manual preparing pastors and layman alike for doing spiritual battle, for delivering and healing those in bondage from oppression, from the strongholds of evil and torments of demons.

Don Dickerson delivers a powerful wake up call to the church today. His message is clear, real, dramatic, and convincing.

It was very informational, and hard to put down, but not practical!!! I found it can easily instill fear in readers (like it did to me) by revealing all this information about the demonic without properly equipping them to have power over it. I had to read it with the lights nice and bright and with my husband around to feel safe. I just felt like it was a lot of stories about him and how experienced he is in the spirit to cast out demons. Which is great for him...but now what do I do with that? Im not him. I finished the book thinking there are demons hiding behind every wall and in every garbage can...questioning whether every action I take now is an open door to the demonic. Honestly, I didnt find practical value in this book. Which is unfortunate because I was really looking forward to reading it. Sorry....I would not recommend it :( [this actually might be my first negative review! how sad :( ]

This book has a great deal of misinformation. The author promotes the idea one must vomit up a demon during exorcism. Logically an evil spirit is not made of matter. Thus it does not need to exit through the mouth or ride out on vomit. It is only spirit, not substance. The writer also says a person must invite an evil spirit in. This is hardly true as most demon possessed people probably think the devil does not even exist. He claims cosmetic surgery allows a spirit of vanity to climb into someone.
He also claims to have a two way conversation with demons. Another misconception is he promotes the idea one must diagnose the demon. The fact is Jesus knew the spirits by name because He lived with them in heaven before they rebelled. Thus He could address them by name. We can't and should not attempt to name or diagnose them.
Anyone following this book's plan for exorcism would be thwarted. The reality is that demons must respond to the Name of Jesus Christ. All one need do is whisper the Name of Jesus and tell the demons to leave. It is a simple process and takes less than one minute. The victim should also call upon the Name of Jesus and ask to be set free.

We are in a spiritual battle! Don Dickerman's book, When Pigs Move In demonstrates how demons oppress believers, what allows them permission in our lives, and how and why we must command them to go. He explains that forgiveness and repentence cancels their permission to oppress us, but they do not leave until we cast them out. Don Dickerman demonstrates that demons will ONLY tell the truth when they are under oath to Jehovah God. Take you stand in faith! With the power of the blood of Jesus, your testimony and the Word of God, you can take authority over demons. I especially like how Don Dickerman shows the legalistic ways of demons and the heirarchy of their "kingdoms." Demons are not very creative and are very predictable, once you know their heirarchy and legalistic ways. You will gain incredible insight from this book, all of which points you straight to the Word of God! Thank you, Don Dickerman, for following God's prompting into this ministry!

This book is excellent and so interesting on so many levels. I think EVERYONE New Christians, Non-Christians, Old Christians will benifit from this book. He refers to scripture and tells us what God has revealed to him. They break down all the topics in an easy to use format. This is SO BADLY needed today, what a blessing. I like the book because I also know it's real, and just by reading it you can tell that.

I believe in deliverance and have had it done myself to get rid of things that no doctor could and had hands laid on me several times but needed the deeper kind.
The man who wrote it goes into prisons and helps those who just cannot get free any other way and then they go on to live for Jesus doing good.
He has had much success with the men he has helped with the power of God working through him.
Enjoyed the book immensely.

I recommend this book to those who are Christian Believers and to those who know God well.

All churches need this to free their people from oppression. Oppression from demonic spirits is what is holding back people and churches. God wants us to have all the freedom and joy he designed for us. Amen !

This book was very relavant. Often times in the church we want to overlook this isssue but in this day and age we need to cast out demons more than ever. Mr. Dickerman gives you his experiences, in a manner and fashion you can trust, and then backs it with scripture. My eyes have been opened so much more and although I am not completely ready to perform a deliverance I am well on my way.

what a load of malarky. Listen to me christian world. THERE ARE NO DEMONS TO DEAL WITH. The early church took care of that. Jesus gave them authority to cast them out, and they did with little effort. Even non followers were casting them out just by invoking th name of Christ. There was no struggle for this powerhouse of God's people. the demon hordes were picked off like pigs in a barrel. To say that they still plague us today is to say the apostles and their multitude of followers failed in this commision. There was no magic formula. An entire $12 book wasn't needed to prepare them for this task--they just said "in Jesus name come out" and they came out. no issue, no problem, no $12. Legion was the only obstacle they faced and Jesus dispatched him with a word--and they went to the pit, never to rise again. they were done and gone for good. Now for the good part--Satan. He also was dispatched for us by Jesus and what he accomplished on the cross. Read Rev 20. This happened at the cross. Satan's head was bruised by christ in the act of the bruising of Christ's heal, as He smashed his head into the earth, and threw him into the prison in which he will remain unto the days of the 2 witnesses, when he will be released to do what he was created to do--TO DESTROY-- AND HE WILL DESTROY THE WICKED, as ordained by God from the beginning. You will most likely fail to understand this truth because you will stumble on your false teaching of the millinium-- A figurative 1000 year period in which we are now living, and awaiting the judgement which is soon to come.
By the way--if you believe in a pre-trib rapture, you will surley fail to come to this understanding. Your foundational belief system is corrupted. Please give this some thought.

The simplicity of the writing adds to the charm of the writ. Don Dickerman does not add rules and regulations to God's word as have others ( books I have read on this subject matter ). Jesus is simple and Effective as God's word is and Dickerman keeps it that way and very real
