Boss Baby is a clever, tongue-in-cheek tale about living with a baby. The illustrations are very retro-cool and the humor is spot-on. Boss Baby controls all events in the family; he seems quite demanding of his staff/parents. Mom and Dad look worn out when Boss Baby finally reminds them of why they do what they do. All new parents and new older siblings should get this book. It was an instant hit with the families I gave it to this holiday season.

I heard about this book in a parenting magazine and bought it immediately. The text is so clever and witty, and the illustrations are beautiful. This is a story you can read over and over to your kids at bedtime and still enjoy.

The premise of this book is so cleaver, but known to any household with a baby...the baby is in charge! Creative writing and beautifully drawn, this is the gift to give any family expecting a new Boss!

The most wonderfully fun book. Fantastic story and wonderful illistrations. Great book explaining in a humurous way what a new baby does to first time parents and an easy way for the parents to explain to a child what to expect with a sibling on the way. Worth buying!!!!!!

Perhaps I am a bit sensitive to millenials and their profile of entitlement, but I feel this book perpetuates and may even encourage that concept. I suppose I should have guessed by the title. I had sent it originally as a gift for a baby boy and the mother and aunt said it was a very cute book. So I bought it again for a new baby and had a chance to look at it first. I am sending it back.

In our classes opinion...we think the Boss Baby is the best book ever because it is funny. The baby doesn't arrive in a normal way it comes to the house in a taxi. When the parents are listening the Boss Baby talks sweet baby talk but then when they are not looking he goes back to being the boss. The next reason we think the Boss Baby is funny is because he dresses like a grown up in a suit and carries around a briefcase. Lastly, the Boss Baby book is funny because he calls meetings in the middle of the night. For all these reasons the Boss Baby book is the best book ever because it is funny!

This is a book for babies...those who reviewed this that took this too seriously, saying this is not what we want babies to be probably are overthinking this. It's a cute book to read to a baby who really doesn't understand what you're reading...and I can promise you, they aren't conspiring to take over because of this book....If you tend to take life too seriously or think this is supposed to be "non-fiction", probably not the book for you....neither are 99.99% of baby books.

As an elementary school librarian who just returned from maternity leave, I chose to read this to the students my first week back. It was a huge hit and we can't stop laughing and talking about it. The pictures make the book. It was fun to show the details with the Elmo and laugh about the executive bouncy seat office that the baby sets up in the middle of his parents' house. Our favorite page was the baby's perk page: the lounge, baby spa, executive gym, drinks made to order, as well as the private jet! We hope this makes the Mock Caldecott cut!
