Nice story .... I kept waiting for Alethia to be warped back to the future and Malcolm following behind or Alethia finding a way back ... I was surprised with the ending but grateful as most endings are so predictable. Thumbs up to the writer. My best moment was the handfasting.

For anyone who enjoys fifteenth century romance this is good because it is different. Without spoilers it is not just another romance it has unexpected twists that were refreshing to me I am an avid reader of many types of fiction for over forty years romance being the smallest percentage, since they tend to be to similar. I found this book to stand out in the crowd

I'm amazed by authors who can write such wonderful books. I love Scottish romances and this is one of the best I've ever read. If thus is the beginning of a series I will read every one as fast as they are written. I highly recommend this book to all readers of romance, whether you prefer Scottish or not.

I was fascinated reading this book about travel back in time, Alethia is hurled back in time by magic? to Northern Scotland 1423 AD...Her adventures there are well worth the read. I look forward to the upcoming 2nd book. very decriptive romance between Alethia and Malcolm capturing the culture of that time period.

An enriching tale of love and desire. I truly enjoyed this book and would (and have) recommend it to any fan of a good love story, a fantastic highland adventure. This book has everything you could want from a highland romance. If you are on the fence about it, get it, you will not regret your decision.

This lively story was a delight to read. It just hit all my good book buttons. I'm a time travel fan anyway but this story was not only well written, but the characters were charming and realistic. I highly recommend the read, you will not be disappointed.

When I saw that Barbara Longley had wrote another Time Travel Romance, and that it was a series, I knew I had to read it. I read this book in one day. I fell in love with the characters and the story. I have already read the second one which I think I liked even more and now I can't believe I have to wait until sometime next year for the third one. If you love time travel stories, handsome highlanders and a great story, you will want to read this one, Barbara Longley has done it again!

Good read; will purchase the next book in the series. I only gave it 4 stars because I personally would like MORE historical details, but that is just my preference. The story line & characterization is good, so like I said I will continue with the series if it stays entertaining to me.

Thoroughly enjoyable historical romance. Having a Scottish heritage, loved the information in this book. The character interaction is wonderful and having to learn how to live in a previous century is wonderfully written into the story line. The love the characters and the clan show for one another is precious. What's not to love about all the characters. Just let your imagination run free regarding the possibilities of time travel. Trying to put logic to the book doesn't work. Whether this is possible or not does not make the story any less adorable. Malcolm is adorable with his macho and steadfast love and devotion. Enjoyed reading the whole book and the love and adventure that abounds throughout.

Time travel back to Scotland of Old, but keep your Neosporin handy. The main character in this story does just that and before you know it the people in the castle keep are using expression we use today and causing a laugh-riot. It will keep you turning the pages and enjoying her adventure.

Such a wonderful delight! I was skeptical at the start, as I am a VERY picky reader. Longley weaves a passionate, compelling romance while still taking you on an adventure worth having.
I would recommend this book to anyone who loves books that make you feel magical!
Bravo Longley!

This is full of the usual headstrong girl meets neanderthal hunk who is clueless. But it has an interesting twist with the time travel and lots of fun and heartwarming scenes. I laughed, I cried, all in all a good read.

Enjoyed this series of books. The Scottish brogue got a little tiresome, but I plowed through it. Content was good, historical aspects were well researched, I felt. Overall, really enjoyed the balance of past and present.

I liked reading her trilogy. Time travel and fun comparisons with totally different centuries. Hopefully, human beings do advance. Higher consciousness most necessary. Seems emotional relational things never change between us. Women have certainly come a long way.

Was pleasantly surprised with this novel! Had never heard of author, but reviews sounded good.... so gave it a try! Glad I did... hope more to follow, ending seemed to leave room for a possible follow up of characters. I sure hope so!!

I really enjoyed the storyline; and it seemed to me the author did a creditable job of researching the era. The author made the magical connection between current times and ancient times flow quite well; with the heroine making just enough culture errors to seem like it could really happen!

The characters personalities had depth. I really like a book where I can lose myself in the characters. She did a great job of pulling you in. The characters had a lot of laugh out loud humor. I really liked the scene where Malcolm and True met. Talk about hilarious! This book kept my interest and I found myself sneaking reading in when I should have been working. This is a stay up all night to finish it book. Loved it.

Fantasy...romance and adventure all wrapped into one! Plus the writing itself is better than the average 'romance' novel with more depth to characters and sense of place and time period. Worth the read.

I liked this book. The characters were nice but frankly they were a bit too nice. Their really wasn't much conflict and what there was was handled so benignly that it kind of made the whole story benign. It is an ok book.

Quite an entertaining book. I enjoyed this story, even with the time travel twist. The characters struggle with the uncertainty of being returned to their original time...This gets old fast. Just saying. Otherwise a good read.

Although the story has for background time travelling from our time to the 15th century, it's a credible fantasy. The love story is just great and fantastic. Realistic in my view and oh so romantic! Clearly a must read!

Finally found a book I enjoyed from beguining to end. I had the get the other books in the series as soon as I was done with the first one. True's trip to the past was believable and the encounter with Malcolm was very much how a modern girl would react to somebody bossing her arraund.
