Finally, the meat and potatoes of what originally got me hooked!
The stories of what happened after the military, is it good? Oh yeah, this is looking like a out of this universe adventure!
On a separate note, if this if your first first into this story line, Isaac Hook has written it in a way that you will have no problems keeping up and outlines the each relationship with enough background that anyone will have no problems or misunderstanding of the characters.

Another rip-roaring adventure with Rade Galaal and Shaw. Whenever I think I have Isaac Hooke's style figured out, he surprises me. This story never lets up, but the action takes second seat to the continuing development of my favorite character, Rade. It's great to find him back with Shaw, again, too. Furthermore, unlike some of his more recent series, this book actually has a satisfying ending rather than a cliffhanger. I strongly recommend it.

This book reads like a bad translation because the author apparently does not know the meaning of some words. The first sentence goes something like this "Kade felt a trickle of blood smear down his cheek". Bad writers need to invest in good editors.

Sometimes a bug hunt is just what the Doctor Ordered! I enjoyed the pace of the story as well as the characters and worlds introduced. While this is a Rade story it is a stand alone series. You don't need to have read any of his other works to read and understand this one. This is some of the authors best work and I would encourage you to read it. I thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to reading the series.
Rade and his team set off to save the galaxy with their new business and find out quickly they are in over their heads and sometimes morals trump expenses.. the problem is that another payment is due and payroll has not been paid for 6 months. They need a new gig and a money desperately. The new contract looks like it is missing some details but when you are desperate you might have to make a deal with the devil.

If you are looking for a simple action orientated book with maybe a twist or two, this is for you. Don't think too much about events though, since it leaves you wondering about the stupidity of people involved in this case mostly from the employer (for example, keeping people in the dark was a bad idea, made little sense to me and created many unnessecarry complications).

Not well written. The plot is cookie-cutter and the characters are flat. Also, there are far too many editorial errors. A nice effort, but I will not be able to finish the book - let alone the series.

When I first began reading this, I was slightly put off by the Authors attempt to impress the reader with his command of the English language. Then he showed a penchant for using hard to pronounce names of places. However, I figured it was just me and found a very good story buried underneath. Moves along well with many excellent twists. I recommend this one highly and have already purchased the next book in the zero. Enjoy!

Well written Space Opera.
What do a bunch of ex - Space Commandos do? Security, of course, and if bad guys, particularly Alien Bad Guys get in the way? Hunt them down and kill them. They have no right to invade our systems and kill our people, particularly when disguised as humans.
Especially, when an Ancient enemy Alien is willing to pay the way, BUG HUNT!

Not bad but not great either. There are big gaps in the background story and leaps that are way out even for sci fi. Needs more character development. There are bits that are near or off color for no reason. Keep it younger reader friendly Isaac. I may try another if there is a big discount. $0.50 could work!

Good old fashioned sci-fi and adventure story. Story was pretty good with some good twists and turns and some pretty interesting characters including villains and mysterious people. Interesting sci-fi gadgets and ideas. Liked the book and will continue with the series. Just a good old fashioned romp through space dealing with baddies which includes some of the crew. You will have a good time reading it and feel good afterwards.

Rade still has flashbacks to his time in tge teams. The crew struggles to find work and keep their ship and business going. Along comes Ms Bounty with a simple escort juob that would pay all for almost a year. Rade has questions but takes the job. Could tell more but would spoil the plot, lets just say during Rades time in the reams he fought the phant , could it be that fight is not over.

Isaac Hooke has done a nice job of putting together a story that is both fun and intriguing to follow and experience. The story itself is very well crafted keeps your interest. This is truly an unexpected find. A good story that does not get overly bogged down in details. I will be getting the next book in this series. Thank you for this Mr. Hooke...!

I liked the military action & high tech equipment & suits. The story flowed along very well with decent character development & inter-reaction. I believe this may be a continuation series from a previous series, as the characters & aliens seem familiar.

Very entertaining and dramatic with all the twists and turns one would expect in a scyfy thriller. Kept wanting to see more fantastic weapons and shields for both warriors and ships. Did not disappoint with action and direction just a little slow for some of the training but still on pace for the ending. Thanks look forward to more!

Good read, characters were the type which you could identify, even the artificial. Also liked the cleaning up of the "prisoners" left behind. I guessed the last refuge if the baddie, but I like watching for clues. No "tomato surprise" here the end flowed from the story. Hooke is on my read list.
