I wish more authors could emtwine a good story as this. I tried the audio but for some reason I was fond of the voice and impressions of the charactees. I guess the story unfolded magically in my own imagination. But it is by far the best read and its very rare to find a good developing story where the characters aren't rushed into a scene. Thanks for sharing this story with the world. It was lovely weaved to where situations seem real and not really fabricated.

this is a familiar plot -- best friends possess hidden passion for each other while one must determine if the public proclamation of her love to another woman is worth the risk of her celebrity stardom... yet the author does a good job engaging the reader in this journey. the physical intimacy is light but sincere and the story is good.

With well built characters. This book had me glued to the end. Very inspirational and motivating. I gave this book a five star because I could relate to a lot of the plots and emotions. Very talented author, possesses a wide vocabulary captivates her readers well.

I really loved this book. I have read many lesbian romance novels and always been disappointed by the love scenes finding them too cheesy, or just down right embarrassing. This book was super fun, the characters were developed and believable. And, although, I wanted to know HOW it would end I did want it TO end.

Great (and accurate) story about what a young woman goes through in "coming out." As Payton and Kendall each questioned their feelings for each other and their next steps, the fine writing kept me guessing as to their response and reaction for each situation.
I couldn't put the book down, found myself chuckling throughout the various events and cheering on the lead characters as they trudged through their various crises. Four stars only due to the fact that I guessed the ending!

We were looking for something romantic to read together. Not really a couples book This is a sweet story of friendship that becaomes more. Hits on many of the issues lesbians must deal with as they come out. The romance is loving and tame so if you wanted something with a little steam this is not it.

This book is a must-read. From the alternating points of view being told in alternate chapters, to the depth of emotion and realism that makes the characters Payton and Kendall come alive, this book was a "read at first sight." Kristen Zimmer successfully tells the story of what happens when you fall in love with your best friend, along with the joys, sorrows, repercussions and obstacles that are experienced. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has longed for the heart of another, to lovers of romance, and anyone who loves a good story.

This novel receives 5 stars. It held my interest from the 1st page .Dealing with coming out issues can be very depressing. Everyone handles it differently. I can't wait until Ms. Zimmer write her next novel. Don't keep us waiting long.

I've never written an the store review before. Not because I haven't enjoyed products or books before. Mostly because I'm lazy. I liked this book enough to put in the effort.
It read a bit like a movie to me. It's far from unpredictable. I was able to guess most of the plot as it went along. However, Zimmer writes well enough for me to actually root for the characters and enjoy the journey with them. It's not the best book I've ever read, but I finished it at almost 2am because I couldn't put it down.

Rating (/5): 4.0
Story thesis: Mild spoilers ahead: Kendall and Payton are best friends. They've been best friends forever and still are even though Kendall is a world famous teen movie star: Payton being Kendall's `rock'. However Payton is gay and actually in love with Kendall..who then works out she may or may not also have feelings for Payton. Can their friendship survive these possible new feelings amidst the very superficial celebrity world Kendall inhabits.
Age of protagonists: 18/19
Romance Arc: Sexuality awakening, unrequited love..is it unrequited..mutual affection
Lesbian status One out. One `awakening'
Sex Scenes: Not really
Happy Ending: Yes
Best Feature of story: Enjoyable read with nicely developed characters. Enough drama to keep it interesting and genuine chemistry between our two protagonists.
Worst Features of story Requires a decent amount of suspension of belief in terms of the actual set up- Mega movie star and music prodigy..both unbelievably gorgeous (Payton keeps being asked if she's a model), and the ending. I also felt the characters seemed far older than the 18 or 19 they were supposed to be.
Any supernatural elements: No.
Best suited for: Good solid holiday read. Kick back and dive in.
Recommend to: If you like your lesbian romances with glamour, romance and drama (which let's face it, most of us do)- it's a great example of the genre.
Would read other books by author, based on this one: I would indeed, this was a good debut novel: well written, reasonable length and a satisfying (if not a little unlikely) ending.

I been searching for something so true and innocent for so long. I truly love Kendall found love in her best friend and that Payton didn't just tell her that she loves her. The gravity between them kept their thoughts and feelings a secret and that was great ! I just think that sometimes love should be hard and full of trails and tribulations, to me that would make the relationship stronger. Anyways. This is an amazing book and it makes me want to go out and find a love like this. Wish me good luck !

Well developed characters and great novel. This is the first book review I have ever written and could not pass up the opportunity to encourage others to read this novel. I absolutely adored Kendall and Payton (the two main characters) and enjoyed reading about the evolution of their relationship all the way to the very last page. A must read for romantics everywhere.

I have officially fallen in love with this book!!!!!! It has definitely become my #1 favorite book so much so that I purchased this book on a Thursday and by Sunday I had already read it 3x. This is every girls dream of how falling in love should happen. Reading this book made me laugh out loud, cry, and have constant butterflies in my tummy page after page. I am only too sad I finished it so quickly because I never wanted it to end. I recommend it 100% and then some.

I would recommend this book to everyone is a beautifully written book and I think everyone should read it. I cannot wait to read another book by Kristen, she is an amazing writer. Loved this book! The two young ladies, who are the main characters, are real, flawed, and multi-dimensional. Figuring out who you really are, what your core values are, actually being the best version of yourself, and having the courage to be that person to the world are key themes within this love story. And, yes, it is a love story. One of the most honest and challenging traits of true love is self-sacrifice, and Kendall and Payton learn, and apply, that tough lesson.
This story has mature themes, so it is appropriate for 16+. THE GRAVITY BETWEEN US is a great read for anyone coming out, considering coming out, or even a highly enjoyable read for anyone that is simply looking for a tale of romance. This story may occur in Hollywood and contain issues surrounding celebrity, but take away the money and fame, and the difficulty faced could be long to anyone, rich or poor, and the love and friendship rings true, no matter who you are or where you live.

This was my first foray into lesbian erotic fiction and I have to say I really enjoyed this author's book. Loved where the story took place, loved the different perspectives... I couldn't stop reading this once I started. Loved it.

Beautifully written story about two best friends that find true love with each other. Both characters are very lovable, you can't help but hope they have that "happily ever after" ending. Looking forward to this author's next book.

Found this book a bit too fantastical, Kendall's relationship with her parents was weak, can't believe they would have such little input while she's so young & vunerable. Both characters a bit too young to have such liberties also.

I thought this was gonna be another crack book about two best friends coming to terms with their feelings for one another but boy was I wrong. This book has so much more to offer than that and it was such a delightful read to me.

Most lesbian literature I pick up is cheesy and as a lesbian it doesn't feel genuine. Kristen Zimmer in this book was able to capture true to life experience of a coming out lesbian perfectly. This was a charming book that I couldn't put down because I had to see how it ended. Highly recommended if you looking for an accurate depiction of young lesbian coming out story.

This was a pretty good book dealing with the issues of coming out and how society will view you! I wished it would have been a little longer. I really liked the whole idea of having a Hollywood actress come out of the closet to be with her best friend!
