This book was a great continuance to the series. I would definitely recommend this book. However if you are new to the series you might want to start with the first book Vampire King because each book in this series has characters from the books before, and if you're like me you wouldn't want to miss any detail.

This was one of my favourite KINGS books if you want to read a fast paced and just a really good book then this is the one. I would recommend this book to everyone 18 and over because of the sex scenes

I love the Kings series! The Goblin king is still my favorite, who wouldn't love a hot guy who admits loves My Little Pony even before small beings enter his life. Smart and daddy storylines with complicated plots.

This book is the best in the series so far! Full of twist and turns, but it also touched my heart. The characters' back stories are perfectly intertwined with the forward moving plot. Please read the Author's notes at the end. I cannot wait to see where the next book takes us!

I am a huge fan of Heather's King Series, and I am happy to say that The Nightmare King doesn't disappoint. This book tied up a lot of loose ends, but it sure opened an opportunity for the next book The Dragon King! Cant wait!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! This is my favorite King book so far. Nicholas and Adelaide are exciting to follow and get to know. The writing is so good that it's very easy to picture yourself right there in the middle of all the action. Once I started reading I simply didn't want to put it down. This is a definite must read! If you've read the others books by this author you'll notice this book ties the King's, BBW and The Lost Angel's series all together nicely. If you haven't read them... what are you waiting for??? They are amazing!

The underlying message of bullying was apparent throughout the entire book. We must do all we can to stop this from happening. We need to be more understanding and not dismissive. I know I will try to do so.
I love that we now know who the traitor is and the entity is really ancient. My only wish is that Nick and Addie' s love story wasn't so quick. I can't wait for King number 12 to meet his match and I hope the love story is much more lengthy.

Baddie is a seer threads her to try to :-P those who need help. Her efforts bring her to the attention of the supernatural kings, in particular, that of the Nightmare King and his challenger. Both recognize her as the next Nightmare Queen.
This is an exciting story pitting good against evil. Further, the scenes involving the Nightmare King claiming Addie as his Queen are super hot, although they are the only sex in the book.

It was good. But I feel like every king book has the same formula and after 11 books there were some answers. But I'm still confused. What ever happened to Kanun and Amun re? The wishers mom, what's going on with that? How did the entity really come about, did he just pop in, I assumed he was the bad twin God, but now not so sure. What ever happened to Ophelia? Is she Evangeline? I've read each book but can't keep them straight.

And why does each heroine have such confidence and anxiety issues? Diana pulled her hair out, the wishers were a mess. Adelaide was bullied horribly and it broke her.

The insane amount of names thrown out for one character was confusing, annoying and headache inducing. It made it very hard to keep people straight. Making man-whoring legitimate was anger inducing. In one description the incubus are suppose to pull the pain some one feels out and replace with pleasure. A person is very short sighted and delusional if they believe sex is the online pleasure........seriously. So, NO, I did not like this aspect of the book. The one that topped all other bad points is this one: During the "changing" process of female MC, the male MC has VIOLENT sex not BDSM. He does bind her so that she can't get away, but in a predator/victim way. He has to inject his power into her to change her by biting, and he drinks her blood. These are not vampire bites. These are RIPPING bites that he even calls devouring her. The essences that he injects makes her orgasm through the pain of the biting(not love bites) and ripping. That was hard to read because it made me nauseous and was NO way sexy. WARNING: Anyone having problems with abuse, I do not recommend reading this.

I have read all the previous kings books and loved every single one, waiting in anticipation for the next book. Well the wait definitely wasn't worth it. This book is just downright horrible. Heather threw so many names at you that after reading about 20% of the book I had no clue who anyone was. It doesn't help when characters have 2 and 3 names. At the point of reading 20% and not having a clue about what was going on I said forget it and got a refund . VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Couldn't get into it. Firsy and formoat is the amount name and never ending thoughts. It seemed more like storytelling and not much of a conversation.
I didn't get to the parts that other reviewers hated because thanks to them i am not going to try.
