There are some typos which can be distracting, but overall I thought it was not bad. I didn't have a problem with the length because it's supposed to be a short story, which was what I wanted. I like to read during my lunch hour and this fit that time perfectly. It says it's a short story in the description, I'm not sure why other readers would be surprised by that. It tells you the number of pages in the description.

The author really should have fixed all the typos by now though, and then you could just focus on the story which wasn't bad, though it ended rather abruptly I thought.

After the death of her mother, Rachel's father moves her away to Babylon. Rachel is not happy about the move, not one bit. It is in a store, that she meets Jake and they form a friendship, that eventually leads to more.

I have to first commend the author on her ability to put such a deep story into a 27 page book, that is an amazing feat in itself. I also enjoyed Rachel's faith in God, no matter what happened, or how she was feeling she always kept her faith in God. I loved story and cannot wait to read the next.

Pretty simplistic and not much of a story. Some passages confusing because wrong names were used. An example: Jake hits Carson but the text says Jake's eyes roll back in his head. Glad I got the story for free. Not worth ninety nine cents for other books.
A Lady of Esteem (Hawthorne House): A Novella :: Historical Christian Romance (Eagle Harbor Book 1) :: The Lost Heiress (Ladies of the Manor Book #1) :: A Worthy Pursuit :: Western Romance on the Frontier Book #1 (Wildflowers)
