Even though I finished the book feeling emotionally drained I still wish it were longer. I've loved everything this author has written. She really knows how to develop characters and pull you in to a story so you feel completely invested in the outcome.

This story was more than i expected. I couldnt put this book down. I loved that it touched on issues we dont typically find in characters, yet they were still loveable in the most amazing way. Kim Holden is a rockstar.

This book sucked me in-Hook. Line. Sinker. From page one, I was completely and totally drawn in and there was no letting go. In fact, I literally hated putting the book down to be an adult. Really, it's that good. Kim Holden never ceases to amaze me. She brought forth another masterpiece.
So Much More is just that. The title itself says it all. It's beauty. Heartbreak. Love. Anger. Forgiveness. Reflection. Amusement. Laughter. And Hugs.
Ms. Holden's characters are always so perfectly written. As a reader, you feel what each character feels, their emotions spilling out on the pages. You get to know them, relate to them, and want to reach into the book at certain times and just comfort them.
This is the first book of hers that I was shocked and surprised at so many different chapters. I found myself yelling "Why Kim Holden, what are you doing right now?" I had such pure hatred for one of the main characters. I wanted to throw my kindle across the room many times. Anger, sadness, and loathing of this character was quite high.
So Much More will stick with you well after you read it. For me, I related to it on so many different levels. I shed a few tears, I laughed, I smiled so wide my face felt like it would break in two. It's a beautiful story. It's so much more than perfect. It's so much more than five stars. So Much More than thank you Kim Holden, for writing this exquisite novel.

Another great book. I have never hated a character more and turned around and liked them, I did not think Miranda could be a redeeming feature. Seamus and Faith were such incredible characters with such depth. Well done!

She has an amazing way with words and her characters become a part of you. You feel then in your in bones. You hate with them and you love with them. Such raw humanity is presented each time this woman puts a pen to paper. Needless to say, I thoroughly enjoyed this book

Both "Bright Side" and "Gus" by this author (each a 5-star read for me) reign high on my list of all-time favorites. I don’t know what I was expecting from Kim Holden's latest release, but the story came as a big surprise and a bit anticlimactic. From bright to dark, it took on a totally different feel, and I didn’t get those intensely impassioned vibes from it that came with the other two books. Indeed, there were lots of feelings – but very different ones.
For a majority of this book, the divorce and nasty feelings overpowered everything else and resulted in me seething with anger and disgust towards Miranda, who I found to be a revolting individual. There were occasions when this character’s malicious behavior bordered on unrealistic in my opinion. Seamus was an intelligent and reasonable man – and with a good attorney many of these underhanded actions by Miranda could have been nipped in the bud quickly and resolved without much effort. However, that is not the course of action the author followed.
Told in past, present and future with three different POVs from Miranda, Seamus and Faith. I would have been much happier without Miranda’s voice. In the first place, it was ugly, unappealing and moreover, she didn’t earn the right to so much book time. Seamus's and Faith’s accountings certainly could have brought the story full circle. The relationship between Seamus and Faith felt scattered and lacking in a foundation. Their connection was instantaneous. I missed the steps needed for building a relationship. It went from hello to love in an instant – and that’s just not what I enjoy. I want interaction and progression that substantiates and solidifies a real love story. The volumes of bitterness and ugliness between Miranda and Seamus flooded the storyline rather than the new romance awakening between Seamus and Faith. Lacking in depth and energy with little spark left their journey to happily-ever-after feeling rather drab to this reader.
Even though it isn’t a favorite for me, Holden’s writing still shines in its lyrical expressions. I do believe that this book is one of those where a reader will be totally spellbound or it just won’t work - a case of personal preferences and not necessarily a bad book.
Overall, the story covers a wide range of feels. The cast of characters is well-written – even those you love to hate! And there is plenty of variety in a plot full of surprising twists and turns. Although this one didn't work for me, I'm hoping for SO MUCH MORE in the next one!

This book is definitely appropriately titled because it is so much more. Seamus McIntyre is the center of the story, a divorced man who is willing to do anything for his children because they are his life substance. Seamus embodies all the best qualities in a husband and father, truly. Even when he is at his angriest, he talks himself off the ledge and keeps himself in check. He gives his all to every relationship and no matter how hard things get, Seamus keeps going with a sense of self-possession and strength. He's not some alpha CEO or anything, he's a regular guy like anyone else with a strong and compassionate backbone. Mostly, I needed to keep reading this story to see Seamus get the end result that he deserved most, peace and happiness, because if there is anyone who is worthy of it, it would be him. The world would be an unfair and cruel place if Seamus didn't.
Miranda, wow, I really found her to be not only interesting, but fascinating. She's likely going to acquire a huge fan base of haters for what she put Seamus through. While Miranda is basically the opposite of Seamus, I identified with her on an equal scale as I did with Seamus, but for entirely different reasons. I didn't agree with the vast majority of Miranda's actions, she took no prisoners, yet I was very in tune with her thoughts and understood the broken part of her that basically sought out the goals that she had. Her decisions were led by the logical part of her head, and never by her heart, not realizing how empty life can be while pursuing empty endeavors. I actually really wanted to see her redemption lead to something that was basically impossible to attain, yet I still hoped for it anyway and her character development kept me riveted. It was unfortunate that Seamus had to be on the receiving end of so much unnecessary hardship when he didn't do anything wrong in the first place except fall in love with a woman incapable of returning it and who couldn't appreciate the rare gem that he is.
As for Faith, I immediately didn't like her for a reason that isn't fair to her, but yet it was there. I couldn't connect with her as easily as the other two, maybe not at all. However, I did warm up to her and wound up liking her, but she was definitely overshadowed by the larger presence of Seamus and Miranda, and her association with Seamus felt very solid in the friendship sense and they definitely understood each other on a soul level, but the rest felt forced for me, maybe because I was so dazzled by Miranda. However, I did enjoy the contrast in her vs Miranda and how she was similar to the old version of Seamus as he struggled to find himself back to being the guy he always intended to be even after all the destruction.
This book definitely brings out all the emotions because these 3 characters come from different corners and represent a myriad of experiences and feelings that weave a plot that is engaging and forces the reader to identify with at least one or all of them. Second chances are always waiting right around the corner because while change is difficult, it is not impossible and life lessons are always abound. If you read this book, be prepared for a turbulent ride with equal measures of love and hate.

My Review: [...]...
Five stars!!
Beautiful! I don't think I can even put into the right words my feelings towards this book, but I'm going to try. I have so many beautiful quotes highlighted (that I'm not going to write because you need to read them for yourself). I'm not going to write what the book is about but instead a little about these characters. I think going in blind with the synopsis given is the way to read this one. So, this book was intense, it brought out many emotions within. I was raging and my hatred was very strong. My heart was doing palpitations in my chest. I don't like to use the word hate and I usually am not a hater, I really try to find the good in people but I had a really hard time finding anything good about Miranda, one of the main characters in this book. She is essential to the story and soon I began loving to hate her. She was a great character just very hard for me to understand. I thought at first she was a true sociopath but as we learn more about her we see the little things that make her the person she is.
I mentioned right after I got done reading this book that Seamus was my ultimate hero, his character is so easy to love. He just has this capability to love, to forgive, to fight and such compassion. He was such a beautiful soul. He was a wonderful father, husband, he loved with everything he had and he always seen the best in people, but soon his starts becoming bitter because life threw him a couple giant curve balls. I loved seeing him struggle and not being so "perfect" I loved that realness about him.
Faith, I want to take her home and give her one giant hug. She's struggled throughout her life and has become her name. I said Seamus had a beautiful soul and Faith's soul was just as beautiful with a giant heart to match.
"My heart really likes your heart."
These are just the main characters in the books. The secondary characters are just as good and the children are such wonderful little people. There wasn't a character in the book that didn't have me feeling something at some point.
When I started So Much More the prologue drew me in immediately and I pretty much didn't put it down until the epilogue which was brilliant. This book is a must read. I highly recommend it.

Kim Holden does it again with a beautifully written story of love, forgiveness and redemption. She has a way of telling a story that tugs at your heart strings; I felt like laughing, crying, I felt anger and I felt the love that Seamus and Faith both project to those they care about. A must read!! Thank you Kim for another great read

This book wasn't good or great---it was phenomenal! There are so many books that I read and think, wow, that was good, but this book? It was exceptional. Kim Holden has such a beautiful way of telling a story. I felt Seamus' pain, anger, frustration and love. Miranda, well now that woman defines the word bitch, and I really did hate her, for a time. Faith, well she made me feel all warm and gooey inside. This book is just too awesome to summarize, I'll just encourage you to read it.

God how do I even begin to review this book . I feel helpless. So many words in the English language and none of them would cover how much I loved this book .
This is one of those book that you carry with you all of your life . Like the little prince and bright side . I mean I knew it was Kim Holden and you can never go wrong with her but she outdid herself with this one . It's a lesson of life . And life my friends "life blooms in second chances"
This book is about love, family, life in its pure and utter ugliness and at the same time in its most vivid shade of beauty.
There is no cancer or death But the emotional roller coaster is just as strong
As I was 11% I told my self that as much as Kim can write loving caring extremely genuine and kindhearted human being and she absolutely created some amazing ones in this book GAH Seamus and faith trampled Kate , she could as well write the most despicable evil creatures ... And she did in this book . It was so hard for me to read this character I hate Miranda's guts . Wanted to kill her with my bare hands . But Kim would manage some magical shit afterwards ... I won't tell you more
There is no reprieve or rest or a couple of pages steady NO it's fast pace and twist on every page and pieces of a cleverly puzzle are being revealed down each and every chap . The swing past present is so excellently put together it's flash forward form the past related to the situations at hand in the present . genius ! I loved it .
Now the writing .... Absolute and utter beauty ... The words she used are so simple and yet so deep and beautiful . "My heart likes your heart" . But then again this is Kim Holden she'll capture your heart with such simplicity and coax you into handing her every single emotions of yours willingly ... She is one of those writers whose words seep through the cracks of your heart and hug you soul slowly at first and then before you know it she would've carved her name into you heart forever .
Within the confines of this story lies some real life issues and I love how Kim tackled them . Issues you'd never see the same way and the message behind it is so strong it'll make your vision on life that much different
Besides the story which exceptionally wonderful Kim creates such outstanding Charachters that will stay forever with you Charachters you will look up too . Those charchaters become a part of you soul and stay with you forever I carry all of hers with me . That's how strong they are . They feel real and genuine and so much more .
Gosh the simplicity of the words and their depths . Kim makes the smallest thing special . The way she'd writes would say "an unbelievably beautiful circumstance he could be in with you" instead of "he could fall in love with you" . Or instead of I love you "my heart really likes your heart " It touched my heart and made me smile with happiness . So beautiful it took my breath away .
I could go on on about this book and never tell you how much I loved it and how much it's beautiful . So I'm going to do this :
I'm on my knees begging you as a reader to pick up this book it'll change your life in the best possible way
