Amy Harmons characters steal my heart every time I read one of her novels. This was no exception. Tag, Millie and Henry are so lovable! They are the backbone of this story and being there for every step of their relationship, the slow build Amy Harmon is so famous for, put me so in tune with their emotions. I really felt for them. Its not often I can be moved in that way. I love how her books inspire me. Thats such an important thing to take away from stories...inspiration... and Tag and Milles story does that tenfold. This book is simply beautiful. A Must Read!

I want to give this book TEN beautiful stars!!! This book, oh my goodness....I LOVED it SO much! The feelings I had from reading were amazing; this Author can break my heart like no other, but then she puts it back together and I just have to let out a sigh. This book is absolutely beautiful!! It broke my heart, but at the end I was smiling and sighing out loud. I wish this book never ended; I highly recommend it. Yes, your heart will hurt at times, but it is well worth it in the end. Amazing!!!

5 Stars

I loved this book. The story telling is so good... like a song! Very emotional, I think I used a 1/2 a box of kleenex. I did find myself laughing out loud quite a few times. Loved Millie and Henry and it was great to still have Moses and some of Georgia. David (Tag) is such a caring man and I loved how he cared for Millie and Henry. Amy Harmon is an amazing author that everyone should read.

Amazing book! It's a roller coaster of emotions since page 1, you laugh, you cry and I still don't know what to do with the ending, first I was devastated and crying, I stayed that way all day and the more I thought about it and after reading the epilogue 10 more times I was convinced it was the opposite, and then I was happy for a little bit, I just can't decide, what I do know is that the book is a must read!

This book pissed me off because I was so impatient. I wanted to hurry up and see what was going on. And then it hit like a freight train. My chest was heavy from all the emotion and raw-ness (is that a word? It is now). I read to run away from reality. My job sets off the cascade of a diagnosis. I see it every time I clock in. Some is good and some is bad. This book made me realize I can never run away completely. Whether it be fiction or real life. Amy Harmon is amazing. Song of David is perfect.

Amy Harmon is an amazing writer. She never disappoints.
I didn't really know what this book was going to be about other then Tag from The Law Moses is the main character. I was drawn in from the very beginning just like I always am with her books.
I'm not going to be able to give a review that it deserves. All I can say is get the book. Read the book. If you love Amy you will love this book. I do however strongly recommended reading The Law of Moses first.

Absolutely breathtaking!!!!! There are those moments in life when you have an experience that truly touches your soul and challenges you to live by your truth. This is one of those experiences. This book taught me lesson after lesson and spoke to me so intimately and passionately that I could not steer my eyes away from the pages. Thank you to Amy Harmon for her profound words of wisdom and honesty that I will cherish for a lifetime. You are brilliant!

Somehow this author writes about tough life circumstances without being preachy or just beautifully sad. I could relate due to loss recently happening in my life, and I could read it because I was given words, expressions and outlooks that I couldn't process. It's about life, and you get teary eyed without feeling down. I'm a avid reader and she won me over.

Amy Harmon writes emotional stories like very few can. The only thing that kept me from giving this five stars was the ambiguous ending. Some day in the future, when I have time to think on it, I may appreciate the beauty of the epilogue, but right now I want to know exactly what happened.

There are just few select authors out of the hundreds and hundreds that I've read who have an incredible gift for being able to put words together in such a way with every single book they write that leave you amazed and in awe. Amy Harmon is one of those authors. She is absolutely fantastic and this new story follows the same pattern as her others where they draw you in and you won't be able to stop reading even if it's 1 in the morning. Sleep...nope, just one more chapter.

I brewed about this book for months before taking the time to write my review. It would have been extremely long and probably too harsh had I written it after my reading had ended. I love AH books and this was no different until the ending. I'll leave it at that so I don't spoil it for others. It may be your cup of tea but it's not mine. Sorry Amy. I will continue to read other books by this author.

Amy Harmon books are comfort food for the soul. Her characters are beautiful and tragic and sweet and sensual. And Song of David did not disappoint. The story sucks you in and the romance evokes so much emotion without being graphic. This is the sequel to Law of Moses and has many returning characters, so if you haven't read that one, read it first and then come back. It will be even better. Once you start reading Amy Harmon's books you'll be a fan for life.

Tag's story is definitely one that stays with you long after the final page. Emotionally, I was pulled in so many different directions, I felt like I lived through it all along with Moses and Millie. Amy Harmon is a brilliant and gifted writer and I have enjoyed every book she has written. She has the amazing ability to weave a story that completely pulls you in and doesn't let go. I'll always be a fan.

Amy Harmon has done it again! This was a beautiful book. I was captivated from the start and couldn't put it down. There were lots of laughs and lots of tears along the way for me. This book hit me right in the heart. And the intimacy between Tag and Millie is just....so beautifully written. So touching. I just don't have the right words to describe how I'm feeling about this book. I loved it so much. I can't wait to read it again.

Amy Harmon is one of my favorite authors! She wrote one of my favorite books of all times, Making Faces. Even though it is not necessary to read the Law of Moses prior to The Song of David, I would highly recommend it. It would give you better insight on Moses' and Georgia's background and really help you understand better the powerful friendship of Moses and Tag. Loved it!!!

Amy Harmon is one of my favorite authors so anytime she has a new release, I'm super excited to get my hands on it. This book did not disappoint. First of all the premise for the entire story is really unique. The heroine is blind and while she conveys what it's like to be blind and really helps you to get a sense of the nuances seeing people take for granted, you don't feel sorry for her because she's a no nonsense kind of person and she does what she has to do to make it. Then there is the hero of the story. While the plot associated with him was a little more predictable, she did a very good job helping us as readers, delve into his psyche and understand his motivations. While the story took place over a fairly short amount of time, it didn't feel rushed and was a genuinely good read.

What a beautiful and complex story. I know some reviews say that it's too sad but I disagree. There was so much more than sadness...there was laughter, love, hope and friendship.....lessons learned and mistakes forgiven. It's a story of true friendships and heartaches and the reality of what really happens to us all. Beautifully written with wonderful characters!

Amy Harmon does not disappoint. This is the 3rd novel I've read of hers, all 5 stars. A gifted writer, she has created this family of characters and story lines that resonate with your soul. I want to live in Levan and be adopted into the Tag Team.

Another amazing story by Amy! Tag and Millie's story is beautiful. Their journey is told in a point of view I haven't read before. That was interesting. But it was still engaging, and sucked me in from page one. Wonderful, beautiful, amazing, emotional.

5 phenomenal stars

Amy Harmon always flawlessly executes a beautiful, sometimes even heart wrenching, story to her readers...and The Song of David does not disappoint! Beautifully messed up story of love, life, suffering and fighting! We already loved Tag from Amy's former story of Moses but you really learn to love him and his life, his heart and his fighting spirit!

There was the obvious love story between Millie and Tag, but this was about so much more to me. I think the more poignant moments for me was the relationship between bestfriends, Moses and Tag. You get some of their story in the Law of Moses, and it completely fills out in The Song of David.

Another utterly satisfying wonderful story by Amy.

I have purchased and read every book Amy Harmon has published after getting Running Barefoot for $0.99. I was happy that this novel was coming out and was excited that it was going to be delivered to my Kindle just as school finished, as I am a teacher and often struggle to find time to read in the midst of end of year business.

I cried. I laughed. I smirked and smiled and frowned when in public. I read it in less than 24 hours since I was so gripped by the tale. I love how she develops characters, themes, and creates a perspective that pulls in a reader. I love Tag, Millie, and Henry. I already loved Moses and Georgia.

So wonderful, there are very few authors that give you life lessons in such as beautifully devastating way... And Amy Harmon is definitely one of them. If you have read this book or thinking of reading this book read the law of Moses too you can't go wrong with either. It's a very emotional read, so be aware of that

I felt compelled to write this review because the content of the story is one of the strength of the human spirit and the hope that our Loved ones are always with us even after death! The story also handles a disability with sensitivity despite the trials that one faces!

Loved it. Beautiful story about characters I already know and love. As always, Amy Harmon tells a beautiful love story and includes characters with real life difficulties. Well worth the read. I finished about a week ago and still find my mind wandering to the book and the ending....When this happens to me I know the book was fantastic!!!

A love story of devastating heartache. Its not often that I get tears but this story had a profound effect on me and loosing someone close recently, I have been stripped raw but in the most amazing way and now I'm smiling more often than shedding tears because I haven't really lost them. Thank you Amy

What a wonderful story about acceptance and love. It happens to the best of us, even when we feel undeserving or aren't even looking for it! I can't even begin to describe the feels

What a beautiful and tender love story. I read and loved The Law of Moses so I was pleased to see
Tag's story and I am so glad I chose to read it. I don't have enough words to describe how deeply it touched me.
I love a book which affects me long after I have finished it. Amy Harmon books are always meaningful and touching.
This story is no exception. I can't recommend this book strongly enough!

This was beautiful. I may have known the outcomes (well I was pretty sure) but it was still so moving. I had to put it down several times because it’s difficult to read through tears. Such emotion and pure love between each character. I’m always sad when I finish a book. The people I meet in the chapters become so real to me.

This was a really great story with so many characters to care about. I liked how the love of friends Moses and Tag was shown throughout the book. And then the character Henry, who is autistic, pulled at my heart strings constantly with his full heart and winsome ways.
I recommend this book wholeheartedly!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and loved the characters. I is an unexpected sequel to "The Law of Moses", in which David was a supporting character now he is the main character. I really loved how the author presented the ending of the book, I found it to be bittersweet!

Another tear jearker, heart wrenching love story. Tag and Millie are perfect for each other despite their "disabilities." Henry is a great addition to story, he made me smile a lot with his factoids. Moses and Georgia from Law of Moses play a role in David's story which made a great connection. 5*

Amazing simply amazing! I thought I would hate the ending because I expected the worst. You put the words together perfectly, to where the blow didn't hit quite so hard. I loved that it was Moses and Tag's POV verses Tag and Millie. I loved it all. Great Job! Keep tissues at the ready, readers!

This was an amazing book. It was gut wrenching but it is a story that stays with you. The author's language was well thought out and beautiful and the way she weaved the plot through David's tapes was not only original but lent a mysterious dynamic to the story that kept you turning the page. I really enjoyed this book but have to warn others that it will make you sob. At the end of the book I found that not only was I sad and crying but at the same time I couldn't help but note the hopeful positivity with which the characters fought and loved through their lives despite all the pain they were going through. Definitely a must read. I actually think that this book should be turned into a movie.
