i am impressed with the level of detail Professor Omarosa included in this book. I can ramble on about how proud she has made me, a fellow Howardite. She took Trump to task on everything that is true to the communities and has the receipts to prove it. She is a modern day Biblical Esther and was serving her people (black, poor, and her fellow Americans) while in the White House. Omarosa thank you for everything. You are an inspiration. I wish you nothing but continued success. If you are considering purchasing this book, I recommend you go for it. Anyone with sound thinking will not be disappointed.

No vitriol to be found towards Trump. No scathing remarks. I'd say 99% of her recounting of events are already in the public domain. She spins Trump in an overall positive direction. There are many anecdotal accounts. She wrote it from her own perspective, and not all of her recounting fits the known facts. She took off her rose-colored glasses when writing about anyone *other than* the Trump White House and Campaign.
She 'suspected' and then all of a sudden 'knew' her boss was racist. Machiavellian. Like her former boss.

Once you get past the non-stop bragging about what an important and all around terrific person she is, the message is clear: Don't screw with Omarosa. That said, much of the book is believable but frankly not very surprising.

I was wrong. I thought this would be just an entertaining hack job by a loony reality show celebrity to feed my anti Trump obsession. WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. This is a very well written and insightful book by an extremely smart and fascinating author. Yes there is information about Trump but perhaps even more interesting and a surprise that I wasn't expecting is the story Omarosa tells about her own incredible life, its heartbreaks (her father and brother were both murdered), and triumphs (from her start in life as the child of a struggling single mom in the projects of Youngstown, gaining a superior education and successful careers with nothing but her own brains and determination to back her).
The fascinating thing is how well she knows Trump and how able she is now to out-Trump him. She may now be better at his game than he is.
Throughout the book she comes across as utterly honest. And she pulls no punches. She acknowledges that Trump gave her her start and she was grateful for that. She was loyal to him until he and his White House turned on her. Unfortunately for Trump she is as tough as he is and a lot smarter.
Consider me an Omarosa convert.

I was disappointed in that the title of the book would imply this was a book about Trump and his actions . And while there were some things included, it was mostly a book about Omarosa. It was a decent read, just not what I thought the ads and the title implied.

Moderately interesting. At least 80% of the book is about Omarosa and her accomplishments. Not many facts about the Trump administration that hadn't been previously disclosed in the press. Seemed more of a cathartic exercise for the author than anything else.

The book should have been called me, me, me. It's like reading and extended version of a National Enquirer story. She did have nice things to say about Melania Trump but basically you can just not waste your time.

The title of this book is very fitting for both the current President of the U.S. and the author herself; Omarosa. I think most of us in the US can see how crazed Trump seems and Omarosa provides a perspective that helps us understand the why. I believe however that the secrets revealed and the public recordings that go with them have created a non-public future for Omarosa. She claims to be a long-time loyal supporter of Trump but turns on him in a minute in this book. Trump also appears to have turned on Omarosa after this book came out- so they are both maybe Unhinged. With that being said, the book itself was interesting- sharing her perspective and also a bit of their history together which I think provides her perspective with validity. However, the parts of this book that bothered me is when Omarosa herself takes no accountability for her actions or sugarcoats them. I do appreciate her “excuse” of being too close to the situation to really see the man clearly. We’ve all been in those kind of situations. The book was interesting and well written so I’ll give it 4 stars. But this will conclude her 15 minutes of fame as I doubt she’ll ever work in the public eye again.

In this book, Omarosa gives a heavy loaded account of her decade and half relationship with Donald Trump.Omarosa's account goes as far back as her days with him on the Apprentince to her unexpected firing at the White House. For those who are reading this review, this book is not what you think it is. This book is not a typical gossip book that bashes Trump, Republicans, or Democrats. This book does not chronicle Omarosa's contempt for Donald....which has been implied in the media. I had a chance to read this book from the very beginning to the end, and even re-read certain parts. If one thinks it is a book of Omarosa trying to reestablish herself or seek the black community forgiveness, he or she is highly mistaken. The following questions that have been on many Americans ' mind are carefully elaborated:
1.What is the deal with Melania? Why did she fade in the background during the campaign, and even in some instances now?
2.Why is Pence so quiet?
3.Did Comey really cost Clinton the election afterall?
4.What was the relationship like ....really like between Trump and Ivanka? Trump and Melania? Trump and Trump Jr?
5.Why did Trump even select Manafort?
6.What is the real deal with Betsy DeVos? Was her contributions THE REAL reason why she is Education Secretary?
7. Why Trump keep insisting the media is fake news? Believe me, the answers to this particular question will shock both a Republican and Democrat reader.
8. Was Trump always a racist?
9. Why did Trump run as a Republican?
10. Why did Trump hate Obama?
11. Is Trump as illiterate as some claim that he is?
12. What were the reasons why Omarosa supported Donald Trump and knowing she will be a cast away to her community, and eventually the white community?
13. How do some of Trump's team feel about him?
14. Is Trump a sexist? A serial womanizer as many claim?
15. What was it like working in the White House as a black woman?
16. Why are we no longer talking about Harriet Tubman going on a $20 bill?
17. What was the real deal behind the HBCU presidents visiting the White House and that infamous picture of Kellyanne Conway on that couch?
18. Who were the suspected leakers?
19. Why did Omarosa switch parties besides the obvious?
20. Is she REALLY a sellout like many claim?
Most of all, what was Omarosa's relationship with Trump really like?
The reader will find answers to all of these questions in the text.
Like many minority Americans, Omarosa's life is not a fairy tale. I can safely say this as an African-American woman myself. Unlike what a few reviews implied, Omarosa does not narrate a rags to riches tale. Omarosa talks about her humble beginnings to establish the reasons for her initial vulnerability upon meeting Trump. Omarosa answers all of the questions above with an insider point of view. My takeaway was that Omarosa was an independent thinker that took risks. That risk, which proved fatal for her career, was abandoning common sense for the sake of loyalty and friendship. Another takeaway is that she is an opportunist.....this is not necessarily a bad thing. Being an opportunist was both good and bad for Omarosa. A big mistake on her part was putting Trump in a blind spot which led to her reputation being tarnished forever on both sides. Given her account, Trump had great qualities that were corrupted by power, money, fame, and politics. I would answer some more of the questions that many may have, which has already been outlined, but I'm not giving anything else away. My final takeaway is that Omarosa is not a coon by no means. After reading, I was certainly convinced. However, she was vulnerable. Her vulnerability hardened her to reaity.
I will end the review on this note though: Omarosa had time to get out. But she didn't. Her loyalty blinded her from seeing what she is going through with right now. Omarosa could have told Trump no, but still supported him off script and behind the scenes leaving her relationship with him AND black America intact. It is ok to be conservative and black. It is ok to be liberal and white. It is never ok to ignore gut instincts, especially if it involves one's reputation. Despite her beautiful elaboration on how her and Trump started, Omarosa's name will be tarnished for decades to come, if not for the rest of her life.

This reads like a faster-paced, higher-stakes Devil Wears Prada. But besides entertainment value (the comical portrayal of a volatile, paranoid buffoon surrounded by slithering sycophants is riveting) this magnificent work gives a blow-by-blow insider account of recent political events that rings with truth. A courageous undertaking that is simply unputdownable.

The book really contains nothing new that everyone didn't already know about Trump. It is also very self-serving and an attempt to justify why she continued to work for someone like Trump. Omarosa claims to have seen the signs of the kind of person Trump is years ago in her Apprentice days. Yet she supported him, worked in his campaign, and then went to work for him in the White House. She then continued to work for him despite all of the terrible things going on that she cites. While she claims to have "had enough" and was planning to quit, she actually did not leave until she was fired. While I have a VERY low opinion of Trump, the book does not give me a high opinion of Omarosa either and comes across as just an attempt to make money off of her prior association with Trump

I thought the book in and of itself was interesting, but I'm not sure how much of it I can believe. I don't understand why Ms. Newman stayed with Pres. Trump after hearing him degrade other people and other races as she stated he did. Any one who will gossip with you, will gossip about you. I don't believe it would have taken 15 years to figure out that this man was not her friend. She stated several times that his private life was his own business, but I begin to wonder.

...if the book weren't self-serving than Omarosa would had learned nothing from her mentor.
I bought the book for 3 reasons; 1. to find out if she had her own breaking point (as a woman, and one of color), 2. did she turn vindictive only after having been fired by Kelly, and 3. no matter the answer to #1 or #2, I'll give her my $15 just for taking Trump on while using his own tactics!

gave a four star rating although the book is good, believe the author exaggerated her presence and experiences. still a must read for anyone who want to know about working in the white house in midst of the administration chaos. book reminds me of Maureen Reagan -Ronald daughter and Nancy who also lived and worked in the white house. although it sadden me this type of book had to be published in the first place. yet the book does gives light and new info on the headlines created by trump family and associates . now i understand first lady behavior toward her position and family. thought Omarosa tactfully describes Trump children too. a must read.

Wow! As much as I promise myself that I am not going to read anymore s bout trump. I just cant!. Okay as much as the media have us the impression that Omarosa is just a sweet lemon, sour grape type book of regrets. It's not. This book is well written, exciting to read, chronology comfortable, and in spite of how we are getting bits and pieces of this book in the TV. There is still something that I encourage to read it to appreciate the full impact. As she recently said on TV. Trump has met his match and she will not back down. She is younger, smarter, better speaker, much more attractive, and fashionable. Knows "good words", probably has a "high IQ". But most of all she has studied trump for 15 years. Knows his strengths, and weakness. She has " President Puzzle" all figured out, and knows which pieces are missing.....Great read.........

Whether you like her or not, she writes a compelling book well aware the American audiance has viewed her as a villian before the Presidency and after she was fired from the White House. And shes forthcoming, reminding us just who she has worked beside for many years, and that is a senior white male version of Omarossa. Birds of a feather flock together. She emulated to be the ruthless millionare/billionare so she learned from the Trump orginization and tailored what she learned to her liking. Now shes stepping toe to toe with Trump because in the President's office he is prone to the highest scrutiny as EVERYone disects him and people under him making Trump vulnerable... This is something he has never endured before. Trying to hold fast as the tide of the free world pushes against his eclectic corruption it puts cracks in Trump's foundation. But now, Omarossa's witt and book will probably topple the house down. Its that kind of book. But time will tell.

After reading this book I was looking for the "smoking gun". Essentially she told us about the parade of people that Trump fired. He was looking for loyalty and given that Trump could barely read or write intelligibly, he obviously needed people to make him look good. She started working with Trump on "The Apprentice" and stayed with him until she was "fired".
There was no mention of any new extramarital affairs, although I would believe anyone running beauty pageants would be having sex around the clock. Clearly Trump is not qualified to be POTUS and she points this out. She also mentions that the Democrats are thieves (aka Hillary) but doesn't emphasize enough Trump's having a mob boss mentality.
She does make him look like a nice person most of the time, which I don't understand. She's black and tried to do as much as possible for black organizations , but I feel the work is misplaced with the GOP. Blacks are hit upon by racists of both parties; whites have a long history of racism. What I did learn from this book is Trump goes to his tanning bed every morning.

I could not put this book down! I was skeptical about reading her story as I was aware of her background, especially on The Apprentice. I do think Trump knew who Omorosa was and still put her in a top position in the White House.
In a way, he certainly deserves Omarosa's wrath. It is also a shame that 2 really good friends parted this way.
Her story is very believable and I feel there is more to come.
There are many books that have been written about this President. They all agree that he can't be Presidential,
is suffering from sleep deprivation and horrible diet, is incredibly narcissistic and is using Fox News to guide him on his political decisions.
Omarosa's reveal of the constant daily calls to the President from Fox News was a bit appalling. When will the public
and the politicians stop giving him a pass? Our Nation is in big trouble.....

This book is incredibly fascinating. I just got it yesterday and have read over a hundred pages so far and I don't want to put it down. It's addictive from the first page. The writing is excellent, very clear and efficient. The author does such a good job of painting a clear picture of what she experiences that I feel like I am there. We already know that trump's white house is a disaster, but I really appreciate how the author breaks it down for us and gives us very specific, deliciously horrifying and shocking details. This book is a nightmare in 3D but so compelling and fascinating and the people in it are horrors but I don't want to stop reading.....

I'm not a fan of Trump not Apprentice Shows. This book proves any rational citizen's observations about Trump and his odd behavior and cruel comments. It was an eye opener to learn Omarosa' s history which gives credibility that Reality TV lacks. Insiders need to held accountable for hiding the truth about Trump. His administration is a wreck!
This book proves its worse than I though . Hopefully this Trump nightmare will soon end without a Pense presidency .

Based on the prologue alone, I understand why she had to write this book. I would have done the same in her shoes. Pieces of the puzzle come together with every page. I couldn’t put it down, and things make much more sense after reading this book. Highly recommend. ????

I am not a fan of Omarosa but I liked her book which was entertaining. Nothing earth-shaking came out but we all like to read an insider's views. She will have to do a whole lot more to be accepted back into the Black Community than just write this book. She might think it doesn't matter but she knows it does because she has no place to go. Omarosa will have her 15 minutes of fame and money but one wonders what is next for her- No one trusts her. Who would hire her especially if they think she will tape them. In the book , without saying so, she is asking for forgiveness and acceptance. Black people are supposed to believe that she was there because "she was trying to help them" . She drank the Kool-Aid and was blinded by the actions of others but now she had a "Come to Jesus" moment and she is clear-headed. Nice try Omarosa but that Dog Won't Hunt. I do wish her well because she is human and we all have our flaws. I must give her credit for being intelligent and for being able to play the game with the Big Boys. No one can ever say again that African-American people, especially women. are stupid. lol. She has the same craving for attention, power and money as many of the people she worked with and for. Some people are willing to do anything to get it and Omarosa is one of them. In another setting and skin color that might be admired. She also lacks a moral compass even though she is supposed to be a Minister. We have seen this conflict in so many people of the cloth but that is for her and God to figure out . In the book, between the lines, despite her firing, you could feel her pain of the loss of her position, the POWER, after working so hard to rid herself of her troubled past. She thought she did everything right and was still kicked to the curb., that hurts. I do wonder how she is going to cope with that great loss of power and spotlight. I can almost feel sorry for her but do not. Omarosa forgot who she was and paid the price for it. I sincerely wish her luck once she finds herself and what is important in life.

No matter what you think of Omarosa, her book belongs at the Top of Your Must Read List! Well written and cogently developed, the book gives us an extremely unsettling, look at a turbulent White House under a most unsettled leader and his enablers--all of whom who seem to have only nodding acquaintance with the truth. If you don't have trouble sleeping after reading this account of Trump unhinged, you're definitely living in the same bubble of unreality in which this president resides. But if you're a thinking American, this book will strengthen your resolve and compel you to go out and vote for change this November.

Omarosa might not be the most important staff member, but often the less important employees know the most, because they are like the fly on the wall. I believe every word. This book continues to add to the enormous documentation of corruption going on in the White House.

Those are the reasons, in ascending order, why I believe Omarosa (always go by one name - just one of the many secrets to success taught her by her mentor donald trump ... no capitalization intended) wrote this book. Since they are also in ascending order the same reason I bought the book I consider us even. Despite her many, many, many examples of trump's erratic, racial (her word, not mine) and misogynistic behavior she keeps in contact with this nut for 15 long years and supports his bid for the most powerful job in the world. I don't know who is the bigger narcissist. In the end it doesn't really matter ... my purpose was served - buy a copy to help put it on the bestseller's list just to drive trump further around the bend. Giving Omarosa a few more minutes of fame is a small price to pay for that privilege.

Certainly a self-serving account by a long-time Trump confidant...but the insights it offers into the author's mind and the mindless chaos of the Trump WH are disturbing, even if the 'revelations' are well-known or suspected. Omarosa is not a dummy, she is an ordained Baptist minister, and I hope she is sorry for her sins.

I started reading Unhinged as soon as it downloaded on my Kindle on Tuesday and couldn't stop turning pages until I finished this morning, a day later. Someone as observant as Omarosa does not work with someone for 13 years or so without identifying behavioral patterns--good and bad--of a mentor or even a co-worker. This book pulls back the curtain on what's happening behind the gold curtains at the White House as the turmoil of Trumpworld continues to wreck our country. Omarosa knew it was only a matter of time before she was thrown under the bus by Trump like many before her. Smart move on her part to document her observations and mistreatment at her dismissal.

You know how when someone is telling a convoluted story, full of lies, and you are thinking "This just doesn't even make sense!"? Omarosa's book is the opposite of that. Throughout, it has the ring of truth. It explains the things that weren't making any sense.
As I read the book, I kept thinking how personally betrayed Omarosa must have felt. A highly educated, articulate and ambitious woman with a wide and valuable work experience background, she thought she was going to be able to make positive change for African Americans when she took the White House job. It turned out that all she had was a title and a good salary. She was marginalized and ignored, with very few of her ideas or suggestions being given any attention.
Then Trump and his minions began to show their true colors.
The book is well written and Omarosa is a cogent and observant witness to what she was seeing unfold in front of her.
She is justly proud of her accomplishments in life, coming from a background where her father was murdered when she was seven years old, leaving her mother to raise four children. She grew up in a housing project in Youngstown, Ohio and attended college on a volleyball scholarship. She earned a Masters Degree at Howard University and did work towards a doctorate. She later completed theology studies and was ordained as a Baptist minister. She is married to a Baptist minister.
I recommend reading the book. I believe there are tapes backing up her every claim and I'd bet the legal team for her publishing house has listened to each and every one of them.
Also, I suspect that the not yet released book by Bob Woodward is going to back up the information revealed in this book.

I never watched any of the Apprentice shows, but I had heard about Omarosa. How terrible she was, how backstabbing, and crazy. I was never interested in following her, and thought it was ridiculous that she had decided to work for the Trump administration, despite how racist, creepy, and generally immoral he seemed. Most black people have written Omarosa off as a drama queen and sell out. But when she got fired, I knew she was going to write a book, and despite her reputation, I wanted to know what insider info she would share about the Trump administration.
Because it's Omarosa, I really wondered if her book would be truthful or if it would be full of lies for the sake of making a buck on book sales. I bought the book yesterday, finished it today, and have to say that it was an enjoyable read. Only the people who have worked with Trump know whether the things she's written are actually true, but the account she gives seems credible (for the most part). The insider details seem believable (she doesn't seem afraid of fact-checking), and confirm a lot of what we've already known. There are new insights. Some places where I laughed out loud, gasped, or screamed at the book in frustration at some of the things she revealed about those in Trumps cabinet and outside of it. (See General Kelly and Betsy DeVos and Paula White!).
Overall there isn't a ton of new information about Trump or Trump world. She takes you through the inner workings of the campaign and the White House. There are some interesting stories that you haven't heard before, but really just snippets here and there. If you're looking for a book that lays out a clear consise case for how Trump is 'Unhinged', and for that info to take up the bulk of the book, you will be disappointed. I was 60% into the book before she even started talking about the campaign. Which was frustrating. A book called 'Unhinged' should mostly be about insights into Trump's behavior and mental state, and her work with him directly in the White House. You really don't get to that until around 80% in. Instead it's more the story of Omarosa's career, how she met Trump at The Apprentice, and how they both benefited financially from working together over the years, and why she felt loyal to him despite his flaws, to the point of wanting to help him with his campaign and work in the White House.
The second half of the book is largely devoted to her efforts to support the black community through political initiatives while the black community had written her off as a house slave. In this book she really wants people to understand all she tried to accomplish in the midst of a racist administration, and how she eventually came to realize that Trump was indeed racist, and she couldn't deny it or put up with it any longer.
Now that last part is the part of the book that is not believable. She paints herself as a loyal friend of DT, who was trapped in his cult of personality, and couldn't allow herself to see him for what he truly was. I believe Omarosa had plenty of chances to see what he truly was. She knew about the possible existence of the 'N-word' tape early on in the campaign, and rather than check to see if it was true, she surged ahead fighting for team Trump. If you read this book you will learn how well educated Omarosa is, and how much political experience she has. Much more than I thought. Before joining the Trump campaign, she was even working for a Hillary PAC. She had worked in the Clinton administration, and for Al Gore. She says she campaigned for Barrack Obama, and admits she knew Trump decided to run for president because of his feelings of disgust and jealousy for Obama. How could a woman with that much education, experience, and insight be so blinded that she'd switch parties and promote a man she knew wasn't qualified to be president, and to work on a campaign she knew had no real platforms? A man she knew had had multiple affairs, which could possibly become a liability to his campaign down the road. I just don't buy it. I believe that while all of the other details in this book may be true, the idea that she was too blind to see the truth is her attempt to rewrite history to justify her support of a dispicable person. She divulges lots of information about herself, but I don't believes she ever gives the readers her real reason for supporting Trump. She's not making herself out to be angel by any means. She owns a lot of her behavior, but I do think she's being disingenuous here.
Aside from the fact that I think the title is a bit misleading as to what the bulk of the book is about and my doubting that she didn't really know that Trump was racist, this actually is a pretty good read.

I have been looking forward to this book for a long time now, knowing that Omarosa would bring some interesting tiddle-tattle about our POTUS, whom I cannot abide. The book just isn't that good. First you have her rehashing her entire life, and spending lots of time talking about the various sins of Donald J. Trump and how she just turned off her moral judgement while claiming to be a Christian because they had a 'symbiotic' relationship. So do hookers and their johns! Still the book was moderately entertaining right up until the author runs across a sexual assault victim triggered by her boss and his 'Grab them by the pussy' antics. She denigrates and dismisses the lady as a crisis actor, unable to understand that there were a lot of women who'd survived rapes and sexual assault and were very triggered. This woman is nothing more than a nasty piece of work that would do or say anything to promote herself. I was hoping she'd bring down Trump, but now I have to ask at what cost that would come? More dumbing down and veniality of our public discourse? Pass on the stupid book and read the highlights and hear the tapes at TMZ and you'll be a few bucks richer. Don't waste your time.

Due to the fact she worked for *45 and sucked up to him so much. But the more she went on talk show after talk show to expose Donald, the more I accepted the veracity of her WH accounts. Make no mistake, she's ruthless, fearless, well spoken, and articulate. Not only does she tell a convincing story, but so far she's produced receipts to back up her claims. I've only gotten through the first part of the book, and have to say I'm impressed at how eloquent she writes and how meticulous she was in documenting every step of her way. Will the N-word tape be released? That remains to be seen. But judging by Dotard's unhinged comments ever since Omarosa took to the airwaves, it's probably out there. She's giving the Orange toddler a dose of his own medicine, and he's throwing fits about swallowing it!

I give 4 stars rather than 5 because there are spots where the text really isn't clear. Omarosa really should have hired an editor!! It's a quick read, though, and very interesting.
There is clear and credible confirmation here that Trump really is an awful human being. This is the most detailed, most credible account I've seen yet of what Trump is like, and what he's going through.

I became bored quickly, why, never like the Apprentice and the campaign action was all over the media so what else. The white house stuff was a little interesting. We already knew he may have issues but he has 2 yrs + left, might get re-elected. So let's all inhale and exhale, as the world turns and recycle. May the Lord stay with us.

Not initially a fan of Omarosa, I am now full team. Her writing is beautiful, and I might add the audio book is excellent as well. The story of her life both before and in the White House was so engrossing, I couldn't stop reading. She included gossipy bits about both family and others who have all become reality show celebrities via the White House. She gives us her truth and there are many bombshells. I highly recommend.

I found it basically a bragfest of her life. Halfway through i flipped to the last few pages. Obsessed with fame and desperate for the limelight...but some interesting points. Fire and Fury way better.

gave a four star rating although the book is good, believe the author exaggerated her presence and experiences. still a must read for anyone who want to know about working in the white house in midst of the administration chaos. book reminds me of Maureen Reagan -Ronald daughter and Nancy who also lived and worked in the white house. although it sadden me this type of book had to be published in the first place. yet the book does gives light and new info on the headlines created by trump family and associates . now i understand first lady behavior toward her position and family. thought Omarosa tactfully describes Trump children too. a must read.

This is not a one sitting read nor is there anything unusual with font size. Omaroso was not a person I knew of prior to the book. It compliments the book that was by doctors and social service experts. Her observations of three administrations allowed her to offer comparisons and first hand experience. Her loyalty to her friend and employer is not unusual. I feel her explaining the number of years it took to alter her loyalty was logical and clear. A key element was offering the man who was already excessive deteriorated. Consider the actual author of The Art of The Deal. Tony Schwartz publicly admitted shame, remorse and guilt for having written the book. There is not a single indicator that Donald Trump could write a book. His wanting to take the oath of office on the book instead of a bible is an indicator. Omarosa Manigault convincingly developed her evolution of her perspective. It is genuine in her admiration that became revulsion. One testament to her backbone and character is being able to handle the difficulties of of evolving from poverty and deaths to wealth and fame and remaining level headed. Her revelations on many Trump people allows us to add her perceptions to our own impressions. A valuable book that should be read by people with differing opinions.

I enjoyed reading this book because it was entertaining, informative and full of juicy gossip. The book is a quick read and highlights many political events that I already knew about. However Omarosa's firing has hardened her views of the president and she has totally flipped to the other side. The book is light on policy but heavy on gossip and insider information about how chaotic the White House is under Trump's leadership as well as information on the Trump's family dynamics in the White House. I enjoyed learning more about her personal life and background and how it intertwined with her White House experiences as only African American woman in Trumps inner circle. Her personal life beginning with meeting DT as a pioneer contestant on "The Apprentice" TV show where she first met D.T.; the murder of her brother; death of her first husband; marriage ( in the White House to her 2nd husband as well as her relationship with members of the Trump family... and the chaotic Trump Staff. I really enjoyed the book. It is a Quick and enjoyable book about power, sex, race and money. Although I am not an Omarosa fan, I must admit she has balls and smart as a whip.

Anyone who keeps up with politics on a daily basis (or even on a semi-daily basis) will not be surprised by anything in this book. I was really looking forward to "insider stuff" but what I read was how hard Omarosa worked (according to Omarosa) and what had already been reported on a daily basis by the mainstream media. Absolutely no new insights. None. Not one. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. I rarely regret buying a book because even if it stunk, I was able to come away with the opportunity to draw my own conclusions about what was written. I guess I was able to do that here, too, but the conclusion I came to is that Omarosa ripped me off. I debated with myself long and hard on buying this book. I wish I had done that a little longer and a little harder and decided against buying it. In my opinion, it's a total loser simply because there was nothing new. If nothing else, she should have teased the tapes (now those have been interesting!) to give at least a sense of being an "insider."

Omarosa Manigault Newman is the former Director of Communications for the Office of Public Liaison in Donald Trump’s White House, and was an aide in the Office of Presidential Personnel and the Office of the Vice President in the Clinton White House. She has served as an adjunct professor in the Howard University School of Business. Prior to joining the Trump administration, Omarosa served as a chaplain in the California State Military Reserve. She currently serves in pastoral ministry at The Sanctuary at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida.
This fast reading book is what many have been waiting to appear. In this time of ‘fake news’ and the method in which Trump has elected to communicate – Tweets on Twitter – the little truth we hear from how the dysfunctional President and cabinet and even Congress operate has been the evening news as reported with gusto by brave newscasters such as Rachel Maddow.
Now we have the inside story from the courageous Omarosa Manigault Newman who not only served in the White House under Trump but also was with him on THE APPRENTICE and other television shows that brought Trump to power.
Omarosa discusses in raw detail about Trump’s mental instability, his racism and anti-feminism, is bigotry and his lies, the N-word tape, his interaction with Mike Pence and Paul Ryan and Melania and Ivanka and Jared Kushner, the N-word tape, and the manipulation of the FBI and investigations into the 2016 scandal. And on and on.
It is all here in immensely readable form – written by a very bright lady who had the courage to leave the Trump dynasty before it self implodes. If for no other reason than catharsis, read this book. It somehow tames the fear we all have about Trump simply by putting the facts in black and white. Grady Harp, September 18

Most of her book is what we have already heard from the haters of Trump, nothing new here, and the rest is spiteful. Some lies so obvious you have to wonder how she thinks as a preacher, woman and person of color. The only interesting part were her accomplishments in life, she has done very well in spite of herself, hence the 2 stars. Too much sociopathy to feel comfortable around a person like her because sooner or later there will be problems she causes then walks away from leaving everyone else to pick up the pieces. This book is for the Trump haters, it will fill their hate pot to the point of giddiness. Does Omarosa actually think she got fired for no reason as she tries to infer. She's a preacher, she needs to look inside herself before preaching to anyone else.

It's really more of a little biography of Omarosa, than a dish on the White House--she talks about her early life, the people who inspired her, and some of her thinking when she was competing in The Apprentice. She was grateful to Trump for giving her her big break, but I think she is smart enough she would have succeeded anywhere. She was disappointed in herself for not seeing Trump as a racist, but she says that time has changed him. Mostly she was excited and grateful to be in the White House and felt that her outreach to people of color and to highlight historically black colleges was important. There are some really funny moments (a highly inappropriate work party for The Apprentice at the Playboy mansion) and sad ones as she loses her first fiance. It may be a self-serving biography, but I was glad to read it. I found it much more enjoyable than Fire and Fury.

I received my copy yesterday, and finished it this morning. I found it to be a fascinating look at the wheeling and dealing of Hollywood, politics and a good rags to riches story. Omarosa does not stint on talking about her own talents and accomplishments, and her complicity in some ugly incidents makes it hard hard to forgive her. However, the book is easy to read, she doesn’t dwell on one thing for too long. It moves right along and, to me, it has the ring of truth. I feel differently about her. I don’t feel diffently about Trump. Her book makes me even more sad that he sits in our White House. I believe her. I like her a little better now, and I liked her book.

I didn't particularly like Omarosa but was encouraged to read her book by someone I respect. I found her to be believable and unsparing in owning up to her own past of giving Trump a pass on his now obvious racism and misogyny. Her description of a number of events she witnessed in the WH have been supported by other independent reports. These all taken together paint a very disturbing picture of what voters in our country have allowed to happen.
I highly recommend this book despite opinions you may have of her personally.

I read this book with hopes of understanding Omarosa “hinging” to DJT. As someone whose background is very similar to hers, in regards of linking with a mentor you admire and aspire to mimic. I completely understand her points about being blinded by a mentor’s poorly executed actions and wanting him or her to gain better perspectives in all aspects of life. However, humans will continue to evolve whether their character is improving, stagnant, or declining. It was refreshing to read as Omarosa adjusted her lenses and viewed her Mentor under an objective scope; which ultimately led her to unhinging herself from false pretenses. Omarosa is more than welcomed to my Bar B Q cookouts, the food is healthier and all points of views are respected.

I given this book as a present after hearing how well spoken Omarosa was in her interviews about it. I was never a fan of her’s, but now admire her accomplishments. After hearing her side, I don’t think Omarosa deserves the hateful media coverage of this book, of her time in the White House, or of her being the only memorable person from The Apprentice. I wonder if anyone of color is left in the White House to remind Trump that he represents everyone in the country. Somehow Omarosa shows compassion and admiration for Trump, while still telling her side of being “tackled by her teammates” at every turn of her trying to make a difference in the lives of Americans. She also doesn’t hold back the punches on Trump’s bad policies and bad choices, and tells the truth in a chronological take of Trump’s most shocking moments. She doesn’t tell us anything we didn’t know from our years of watching the news in horror, but she shows us the other side of two of the media’s favorite villains.

Rating: 3.5/5.0
I have listened to the audiobook version of this book and have to say that I enjoyed listening to Omarosa's narration. It was easy to grasp. I don't know how would I have felt about this book if I had to read it myself though! The style of the writing was good and simple but I think her own narration is what made the book more interesting to me.
Now many people and for obvious reasons will question the credibility of Omarosa Newman. I have no issue with that at all. What I feel is that this book has nothing new to offer to the reader about Donald Trump that we don't know already. But what really makes the reader question the author's credibility is her repeatedly mentioning that she did not know that Trump was a racist despite working for him for several years! Can you believe that? Nope. It does not take any effort to get that impression from Trump. Basically, the author was in deception as she at some point in the book said about herself that she was confused if Trump was a racist or racial! This is just a self-made excuse!
In the book, she also keeps making excuses about why she was still working for Trump and then later she kept saying I am done, I am out despite everybody knowing that she was sacked which she confirms it in the first chapter.
The question is if she was not sacked and was still working for Trump would she have written this book? The obvious answer is no! I think her integrity and credibility would have been completely different should've she resigned before they got rid of her. For its entertainment value, I would give this book 3.5 out of 5.0 stars. Just don't miss listening to Omarosa trying to imitate the way Trump talks!

I feel that I should start this review with a disclosure.
Although I've seen a commercial or two for it, not once have I seen an episode of The Apprentice. Had no positive feelings about it, had no negative feelings about it. In flipping through channels I vaguely recall hearing the name Omarosa when programs were discussing entertainment news.
The next time I remember hearing the name, she was tapped for the White House.
In reading this book, I was surprised to learn that she actually did have some experience working for politicians. Enough to be a presidential assistant? No, not from what this book contains.
Early on, she describes her firing from the White House. I found this to be particularly interesting because it clarified what many people suspected. News reports were flying all over the place about her needing to be escorted out after throwing a fit at a Christmas party. Turns out that it was all fake news. Omarosa claims that during this so-called tantrum that she had, not one person snapped a photo with their phone. I would have to agree that if the situation had actually happened, there would be digital evidence.
Not surprisingly, the vilification, the 'Fake News' of the event was directly from the White House.
And So It Goes. Many other situations that left the public, on both sides, a bit puzzled, make sense after the author gives us a behind-the-scenes peek at what was going on.
If something doesn't make sense, you can bet there is deception just under the surface. The author doesn't hold back, giving the reader multiple opportunities to say to themselves 'oh, NOW I get it.
Without going into every detail of the book, which covers not only her experiences right before and after the White House, there is one glaring takeaway.
Her first experiences with the man who would become the president of the United States are friendly and clearly a case of both sides having an agenda of getting what they personally want. Doors opening, high ratings, and most of all, being discussed, critiqued, and in the public eye. The hunger for recognition is is a priority for both of them.
At times gossipy and fun, the reader never loses sight of how the author chronicles the descent of a man that she initially admired.
And it happens in every way. Physically, emotionally, and mentally. She documents outbursts and irrational statements that negatively affect the United States, even after only 2 months in office.
The author shares a lot of her own heart break as well. I've seen from friends the strong bond that Howard University students and alumni share. Omarosa is on stage with Betsy DeVos at Howard. After being booed, DeVos tells Omarosa that the speech went very well, it's just that the (black) students, parents, and faculty didn't have the capacity to understand what they were trying to do. Regardless of things that she has done right or wrong, you can't help but feel bad for the humiliation that Omarosa must have felt in front of her beloved Howard sisters and brothers.
I have no clue as to whether the author is a good person or not, a qualified person or not. An even keel person or not. But because most of what she writes makes sense, or there are witnesses, there isn't a lot of reason to say the book is full of lies.
And she did have a lot of access to the person who has control over the lives of every single American citizen.
I'm glad that she didn't take the payoff that was offered her, leaving her free to write this book.

How did such an accomplished, educated, experienced person ever fall for the obvious slime and sickness that is DJT? I fell for the positive reviews against my original intent not to bother. What a waste of time. Can't feel sorry for anyone who ignores the decades of con artist, bully boy crap that's always been who Drumplestilskin is. As for her new found "awareness", I'm not buying. She knew. Her credibility is still zero.

Omarosa writes mostly about her own life growing up in the projects, attending college, being an ambitious risk-taker who wins a beauty contest and eventually gets onto the Apprentice. She reveals Trump and celebrity guests often spoke crudely about women but otherwise she says Trump treated her with a lot of respect.
The last third of the book covers Omarosa's time in the White House, but it doesn't appear she spent much time with Trump. She talks about his legendary temper but only as heresay, not first-hand experience. And she confirms the power struggle between Bannon and Jared/Ivanka. But other than that, she doesn't have any great insights about how Trump worked in the White House. Again, she mostly mentions the times he called her to say things like "how are things going?" after she had some kind of professional crisis.
The title "Unhinged" suggests she has some knowledge about Trump's unraveling mental state. But it's very light. She mentions a few times that she knew him 10 years and he's definitely different now: he repeats things when he rants, his hands were shaking once when he was drinking water. Hardly an airtight case.
So I don't really know why Omarosa wrote this book. She didn't have much to say. The books by Michael Wolff and Bob Woodward are 100x more revealing than this one.

Wasn’t sure what to expect from a book written by an infamous reality star who worked for a dirtbag. But I was curious to get the prospective of the only prominent African American woman working for Trump, and wanted to know why the heck she did it. This book answers that question. You also learn more about Amarosa, her rough background and her accomplishments. She’s actually probably one of the more qualified people working in the whitehouse at the time. And she has a lot of grit having grown up poor due to her dad being murdered and her mom not earning enough to support the family. It’s actually inspirational to read her story how she excelled in her studies to pull herself out of poverty. Also reading about her experience in the whitehouse is quite a page turner. The only part I didn’t like about the book was her speculation about the nature of DJT’s relationship with his wife. Nor could I care about speculation over hidden messages in Melania’s attire. That part of the book felt a little tabloidish and could have been left out. However overall, I enjoyed reading it and would recommend it.

I am not an Omarosa fan but I enjoyed listening to her book in the audiobook format. Omarosa, as the audiobook’s narrator, has a very good reading voice. Every word is understandable and clear. The exception to a near perfect reading voice was her annoying tendency to add affect to her voice whenever she quoted Donald Trump. She sometimes ended up sounding like Rocky Balboa whenever she did that. Very annoying to me. Other than that the book could be described as a memoir of Omarosa Manigault Newman. She provided background about her upbringing, her early after-college career in Washington DC in the Clinton-Gore White House and campaign years before moving into the Trump Campaign; her Hollywood career and relationship with the Green Mile actor Michael Clarke Duncan.
The description of her relationship with Donald Trump from the days of the reality TV show “The Apprentice” to Trump’s election as president of the United States more or less repeats what is already known and talked about on cable news shows. However, what is interesting are the insights she provides about encounters with the Trump family, and with Paula White, Trump’s self proclaimed spiritual adviser, and the dynamics of Omarosa’s interactions with the dwindling numbers of people in the White House such as Reince Priebus and John Kelly.

Regardless of your politics...If you think you know everything about Omarosa already, you are probably going to prove yourself to be wrong! After you read this and you still deny her 'truth" then you probably don't believe it's possible to be swept up by a CULT! Step one toward getting out : "believe what your eyes see and your ears hear".

Surprisingly engaging and well written. I was loving the gossipy nature of the story at first, but became increasingly sad as I read on. Omarosa was just another victim of DJT. Along with millions of others. Problem was, he couldn't play this playa! Give him hell, girl!

It's an easy, enjoyable read. Get some Insider perception & gossip, perspective. As an ebook it's easily affordable and worth your time. These days identity politics has pervaded even bok reviews. It's only a book review folks. Read the book.

Wouldn't it be divine providence and cold irony if a BLACK WOMAN managed to bring down Trump. The lady's book proves she's really on to something and she has tapes to prove it. Fasten your seatbelts folks, it's going to be a bumpy ride. Bravo Omarosa!

Although the book was gossipy ( I expected it to be), it made the case more succintly than any other document I have read that Donald Trump needs to be removed via the 25 amendment. Aside from the Russia collection horrors, the decrepitude of DT and his followers was like a burning beacon in this book. Case in point, on page 238 she enviscerated Betsy De Vos, the education secretary , as one who when visiting NYC, refused to visit ONE public school. The section from page 287 to 292 accurately portrayed DT as almost at the rigor mortis level of stupidity and ineptitude, Her recouting of the pardoning of Joe Aripato was devastating. In total, although gossipy, I would reccomend that every memeber of the legislature in Congress and the senate read this book and take in the burning dumpster fire now at the heart of our government. And hopefully act on it, via the 25 amendment or impeachment without delay..

This is an easy read and I couldn't put it down! With all the lost in her life I can totally understand how she grabbed on to something, something bigger than herself. She really did try to give her all, as she does with all her undertakings. Can't wait to hear more from her!

This book was so boring. It was mostly an omarosa autobiography. I kept waiting for the good part. There was no good part. There was only a partial rehash of news stories we have all heard before. One of her claims was that trump drank over 40000 cans of diet coke. Ho hum.

Loved it. Detailed and supported. She is doing great with interviews, not defensive or arrogant. She knows her stuff: names, dates, places, news.and political events going on at the time, details, and support for all of it. A surprise. Many doubted the book's success because of the ridicule and criticism of her. She has the last laugh.

Wasted 14.99 on this book. Nothing but a self serving epitaph of a woman who saw what's wrong in this Whitehouse and stood by watching it happen until her usefulness was no longer needed. The only value this story has, it confirms what we already know.

I was dragged kicking and screaming to read this, but, as I read, I felt much more informed about the insanity of Trump. She worked her way through a lot of detail, was fair to herself and to the situation she was in. It's a good compliment to Woodward's FEAR. Read both to get a pretty full picture of the mess we have in the White House.
Yes, it is well written and worth reading.

Well-written, well-narrated, but she got the revelation late. Her reputation had already been created and fed. I think she is a smart lady. Unfortunately, she has always seemed to be self-serving. Don’t get me wrong, I believe the content. It bears witness with all that we’ve seen and heard with our own eyes as well as the reports and books also written about Trump’s mental state.

This book is a wonderful story about a woman driven to succeed, when the world was stacked against her from birth. Ms. Manigault writes a readable, uplifting story about her life. It is unvarnished, and unapologetic. Having read the Comey book, and finding it to be defensive and (just a bit) sanctimonious, I was pleasantly surprised at Ms. Manigault's style. Ms. Manigault's life story is a must-read for any woman in the business world.
Ms. Manigault takes the reader through her childhood, one of deprivation. There is no self-pity, just a matter-of-fact description setting the scene for the reader. Her writing tells of how a child driven to succeed found the tools within herself to make it happen. As she tells it, Ms. Manigault was able to step back from the close-up and see the big picture. In the case of working for the Clinton White House, she was able to discern what the expectations were of her, and what she expected of herself. Only by seeing both side was she able to learn and grow from a tension-charged situation.
On her years on Apprentice and its successors, Ms. Manigault describes for the reader her unvarnished ambition. She understood the need for ratings, and understood what the public wanted to see from a true competitor. One important point, made by Ms. Manigault, is a lesson for all of us. Ambition in a man is seen quite differently than ambition in a woman. Ms. Manigault acknowledges her ambition, without seeming apologetic or, on the other side of the spectrum, self-absorbed.
While her stories about her boss's behavior are certainly attention-grabbing, she does not over-state or over-sell these tidbits. Rather, she places them in the context of her own growth. Unlike other celebrity tell-alls, she accepts her own development as part of a process. She neither blames Trump for deceiving her, nor apologizes, which is refreshing from a female author. (Too many times, women apologize for being strong, or having a voice.)
The best part of this book is not Ms. Manigault's tales of White House life, but the development of a strong, intelligent woman who knows who she is. She tells about tragedies in her life, without wallowing in self-pity or blaming others. She tells of losing her father, brother and then husband, horrible tragedies that would defeat many of us. Yet, she was able to pick herself up and move forward.
So, I am very thankful for purchasing this book, and reading it with an open mind. I am rather sorry that many in the media, who have interviewed Ms. Manigault, have obviously not read the book. It is a good book for any young woman who wants to learn what it takes to be a strong woman--a leader. Reading this, I really hope Ms. Manigault continues to devote her talents to public service. She is a refreshing voice.

The publisher has been pushing this as a tell-all with lots of bombshells. It is anything but that. I went into this thinking that I did not like Omarosa; afterwards, my opinion of who she is and what she stands for took a 180 turn. She explains how she (a Clinton Whitehouse staffer interested in communications and helping communities of color) got caught up in Trumpworld, how she tried to good once she was there, and what straws finally broke the camel's back. The book also gives interesting insights into the weird politics of both Trump and Hilary Clinton's campaigns (she worked for both). It also examines Trump's isolation and increasingly feeble mental state (similar to Reagan), which has been aggravated and preyed upon by John Kelly and others. Overall, to my surprise, this was an insightful and worthy read.

Who on earth gave this trite piece of nonsense five stars? Nothing new about Trump or his administration. It's all about this Omarosa person. And if there is anyone on the face of the earth who can top our current president's narcissism, it is this woman. I couldn't finish it.

I was really waiting to read this book and it's a page turner. Omarosa begins by describing her life before Trump. Her upbringing, family tragedies, her extensive education, her time on The Apprentice. She describes in detail her relationship with Trump and her years of loyalty to him. It all makes perfect sense. She is a strong, smart, aggressive woman who played by men's rules to get ahead, and it worked. Once she saw the inner workings of the White House and especially once she couldn't deny the overt racism of Trump any longer, she began to lose that loyalty. Anyone who is curious about exactly what transpires on Pennsylvania Avenue should read this book. I wasn't a huge fan of Omarosa's while she was on The Apprentice. She purposefully became the "villain" which i think tarnished her image in the long run. People think she's just this nasty reality star. She is so much more than that. She is extremely strong and confident and i believe every word she's writing. She's not the one with the credibility issue. And for anyone who really loves this country, this book is especially eye-opening and depressing. To say the least.

First Trump is a con artist and should be impeached. He's an empty vessel. The worst of the worst.
Omarosa much the same. Perhaps she did some good but you come away from this book knowing that this young women never did anything that wasnt about promoting herself. She makes great efforts to state otherwise but its so easy to see through all the contradictions throughout. She was an enabler who cared only for herself and the brand she so desperetly seeks to poetray.
You can sum it up in the laat paragraphs of this writing. She was so incensed that she was about to quit. No Omarosa, if you could have hung on you'd still be there today. After all the atrocities committed you still hung on to be fired.
She claims she wanted and planned to resign yet during her AFTER call with Trump waited for a call back inviting her back into the fold.
This is a very sad time in this country. When unqualified self serving people like this woman are placed in roles for all the wrong reasons we're all in trouble.
Is some of what she writes true? No doubt it is. But like those she describes she too proves that she is as dispicable as the rest.
I knew this women as a play actor on a TV show I watched once and was turned off. Where co actors turn on and deystroy one another to reap what they see as gain. No different then what goes on in the White House today. Shes made a career of it. Now she asks readers to look away and excuse her for her stupidity. A true scoundrel in every sense.
Omarosa thanks for providing these few nibblets of insight into what we all already know. Despite your great efforts you still will go down as a villin marching along side this con artist in the White House. TO LITTLE TO LATE.

“UNHINGED...OMOROSA”... These two words are very telling: she attempted to create a scandal concerning Trump, but inevitably drew attention to her own own horrible character. I have zero empathy for Trump but she - and he - will soon drop further into the cesspooltye history that they are creating.

This book shows how alike the author is to her subject. I'm sure her arm is sprained by patting herself on the back. Omarosa is still the self-serving person she has always been. If you want to read about how highly the author thinks of herself, then this book is for you. If she thinks this book is going to put her back in good standing with Black America...then she is in for a big surprise. Check this out at your local library and don't waste your money.

Omarosa could have done herself a favor by not doing the audio edition herself. Her intonation is pathetic. The book wreaks of apologies about having been associated with a guy “ I thought was not racist”. Really! Or sexist. Really! Or had no respect for women. Really. An undertone of “I m a victim because of this, that & the other thing” throughout the whole book. Waste of money, effort & time. Almost shot myself a few times. Will never buy a book when I m tipsy again.

Unlike most of the reviews that have been written so far about Omarosa's new book I watched all of the Apprentices episodes . I enjoyed that show , it was quite interesting to watch the theater of social behavior. She made her mark on America and it is a lasting one. Now she is known for it. But her book has proven that she does have another side that America has not seen. She is a talented writer. I am so glad she wrote this book. She has known Trump for over 13 years and knows him. That is what scares him now and his staff. We now have a picture of what it is like in that White House. Great interesting read! It took a black woman to come out and reveal him for who we all thought he was, " a bum" (James Lebron) . Don't want to steal his words so I share them. :)

I have had occasion to glance at a few pages ... pure drivel! I did not purchase this or any other book written by members of his cabal. Apparently this author {as so many before her} grew tired of seeing egg on her face every day and decided to join the ranks of those pretending that all this must end … but wait! Not so fast ... there is money to be made.
I am sick and tired of being sick and tired!
Looking forward to Mid-Terms.

While wonderfully hungry (Philippians 4:12) in the Holy Spirit, Who causes (Deuteronomy 8:3) us to hunger, I pray (2 Chronicles 7:14) that GOD blesses you, Rev. Omarosa, and your entire household, including especially husband John, more than ever prospering (Proverbs 10:22) and keeping you from harm (Jeremiah 29:11), in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen. Laus DEO.

Omarosa, as she prefers to be called is a great writer. This book kept my sister and I read within two days. We downloaded it a day after it hit the online stores. It is riveting. She did come from a background of poverty and misfortune. We get it. We can say many of us have the same story, but I did not feel that Omarosa realized it or ignored it much like Donald J. Trump does. I felt that she believed she was "special" because of her misfortunes. Which is not the case as she learned. Many families have suffered unjustified deaths of their men and boys in the African-American community from police officers, gang violence or domestic crisis. But as she wrote, Omarosa tried to defend a person (DJT) that really didn't give a damn about the thorny issues within our community when she met him, and he still doesn't.
I commend her for going to college, of course. How she did so well is her networking skills. Her ability to garner partnerships with the right people--until she applied and won a chance to compete in The Apprentice Show. That was her curse and her blessing. I think in hindsight Omarosa would have been better served after she was fired from The Apprentice Show, to have moved on to bigger and better things. I personally never would have put my faith and time behind a man like Trump. Never. The rest of those people in the White House will learn that as well. Give them time.
I hated the way they treated her at the White House but not totally surprised. See Omarosa, in the "real world" and you’ve worked for certain people; you don't get credit for your ideas (if they're listened to at all). You also don't get to sit with the CEO of the company and tell him your problems in the “real world.” Those types of privileges are not for us and never have been. And most black employees also get fired at a whim—without warning or recourse. You, on the other hand, you were lucky. But you trusted a man that you should have never trusted to the extent that you did. I came from a two-parent home. So, what you may have felt is below my pay grade. Perhaps you needed a father figure and you clung to this older man for that reason? I could never see myself trusting a man like that under any circumstances.
I wondered in the book -- why? Why did you place all your heart and soul in this man? The most important thing in life is to be respected. They did not respect you. His family tolerated you. It doesn't matter if Trump has dementia or he's just the most ignorant man in the universe to hold the office. My concern is where do you go from here? You have spent a major part of your young life being attached to DJT. A man that is a horrific role model by any standards. I don’t believe Omarosa knew what a “good” man was and how he should carry himself in a dignified way. DJT has never espoused that type of demeanor.
He showed signs over 15-years ago that he was "dirty, unethical, disrespectful, dishonorable and unworthy" of being in the White House in spite of being in there with the rats. He's in the company of the right species--if you ask most people. It doesn't matter if he and Melania are separate or apart or if they have a tumultuous relationship or not. We don't give a damn. Restoring your own path in life and unhitching yourself from the debacle of a Presidency that everybody regrets who voted for him is your attempt (before your firing and before the book Unhinged) to try and make us believe our eyes and ears.
It's almost unforgivable. Even after the book has been published, will you gain any self-respect among your peers? I’m certain you will gain somewhat of a platform. Just don’t know what that might be now.
Omarosa, in my view--you owe the African-American community an apology. There is no other way to see it. Until that happens, I don't see you gaining a modicum of self-respect within your community. You owe your family an apology like friends and your mom. You supported for over a decade a man who looks down on them or us (and you). He only used you according to your book. The more I read the more I saw you need to hitch yourself to something you never thought you would experience—a rich dad. In turn, DJT hitching himself onto you because nobody else would fool with him on a serious level unless they needed him for something and I can’t imagine for what.
Time and time again they (Kellyanne, Lara, Ditsy DeVoss) used your ideas and overstepped every suggestion that you put forth. As far as General Kelly goes—there are no words for how I felt when you described how he treated you. It’s typical of military men; a misogynist, intolerant, prejudice. When you went to the convention you loved being there with the Republicans; a party who has never embraced anyone black, prison reform, women’s human rights, nor healthcare for all. You have a reckoning that I only hope you understand. You said with Craig Melvin on MSNBC, you're under-girded by the church. I hope you are. I absolutely understand your need to have a job and wanting to grow and achieve and accomplish great things. However, looking at the leapers you surrounded yourself with is mind-boggling to me as to --why?
The book overall was well-written. I did not give it five stars because I felt that Omarosa should have gone much, much deeper into her soul to discover why she hitched herself onto this disaster of a man, DJT. I was looking for an explanation as to why she admired him. Furthermore, it’s highly, highly unusual, honestly to see a black woman that was that loyal to an older white man in the way she described. It's a very eccentric and awkward partnership, to say the least. I’m happy you’re free from the chaos and the spell you were apparently under. Omarosa, consider this review as a mini-advisement session about issuing an apology. I believe it would be cleansing and therapeutic for you moving forward. Not sorry for having the experience, but for how your association with a racist made the rest of us feel during the campaign and afterwards. It’s worth considering.

As a long-time political independent (previously GOP when they were fiscally prudent), I am NOT a supporter of our current unethical, racist, & sexist narcissist president. I was very disappointed in this book, as it is a most of it (3/4 or more) is a rationalization exercise by Ms. Newman, explaining why it was logical & reasonable to support and be loyal to Trump for the first 14 years of their working relationship. Trump has been Trump since day 1! It was a frustrating and difficult book to read, that I could not comfortably recommend to anyone.

I just finished reading the Kindle version and found it to be well written, timely and very insightful. I previously thought Omarosa was a joke and not qualified to work at the White House however after reading this book I have done a complete 180. Omarosa worked hard to change the racial narrative at the Trump White House but was “tackled by her own teammates” at every turn. Thank you Omarosa for giving us an inside look into our President and the people around him. I encourage everyone to give this book a try and see if it doesn’t alter your opinion about Omarosa and what is going on with our President.

Best book of the year for women, Trumpers and political junkies. This is the Icarus tale of a beautiful young black woman from the projects who dared to fly into the political sun, what she experienced as her feathers fell away, and how she finally plunged toward the sea but didn’t die. She painfully learned to see the reality of the great reality show unfolding before us every night on the national news and lived to tell the tale. It is also the darkly enchanting story of life on the inside in the Trump campaign and White House where fake news is routinely generated while being roundly condemned by President Trump by the woman who generated much of it.

Trump knew she was trouble on the Apprentice.. She was the reason I stopped watching the show...She caused a lot of drama, yet he'd fire the other guy. She has been the reason I questioned Trump judgement. Why would you hire someone who acts like her? And why did I buy her book?

If you are looking for something new and exciting out of the Trump White House this book is not the place to go. Virtually everything that she says has already been discussed on the news. It's just very hard to believe that Omarosa is so shocked about what happened to her. She knew what she was dealing with, but she wanted her 15 minutes of fame. Of course, she has gotten more than 15 minutes now. Omarosa sold her soul to Trumpland and now that they have turned on her she wants her pound of flesh. I hope that she can verify what she has said with her tapes and I hope that she can put nails in Trump's coffin, but I have no love for someone that defended Trump.

I recall being totally disgusted by Omarossa on "The Apprentice" and then, when she put herself out there to support Trump during his campaign, I was again disappointed by her obvious obsequent demeanor. Finally, she woke up and decided to spill the beans. This will seem like sour grapes to some but to the rest of us, this book confirms what we've long suspected about Trump. Trump has decided to address Omarossa as a "low life" or "dog". What a gent.

It looks like the protege got the best of her mentor. She knew he was duplicitous and so she recorded to protect herself. "gen" Kelly, also on tape, seems to be another weak bully. Veiled threats unless she agrees to parting happily. She reveals the inner ethos of this White House.

I bought this book eager to read what Omarosa had to say about President Trump and ready to get my dander up. But then I calmed down and I started being interested in what she had to say.
The book is well edited and moves at a good pace. I learned things about Omarosa that gave her more depth and showed that she is intelligent.
I feel that Omorosa tells the truth but not the whole truth. You have to be careful with anybody as dastardly as she is known to be.
I like the gossip and inside look at the campaign drama which continued into the White House. Especially hearing first hand from someone who caused alot of it.
But it won’t change my attitude about President Trump. I will vote for him again in 2020. He is the right man at the right time.
Omarosa, enjoy your moment in the lights, I bought your book twice. Pre-Ordered on the store but then went to B&N because I couldn’t wait.
You will need the money to pay for all the lawsuits and felony counts coming your way.
