Lynsay Sands knows humor and knows her target audience with her Argeneau Novels. I am not knocking them because I have purchased them all; it is a great escape from reality and the everyday drivel. This story focuses on one of the Notte twins and his 'lifemate' and adventures and hi-jinx occur. It is not a bad story whatsoever. I find that I laugh out loud at certain passages and re-read them for a few more chuckles. I have done that with all of the books in the series.

This book was a joy to read. A unique twist on "vampire" romance, the Argeneau series has it all.
Nanos that require blood to function keep the immortals (vampires) young and healthy modify their hosts systems to enable them to obtain the extra blood they need to survive.
Excellent plot development with, strong engaging characters. Steamy love scenes balance well with suspense and humor as the relationship between the 2 love interests develop.
If you like paranormal romance with a bit of drama, humor and steamy love scenes you're goung to love this book!

An exciting and sometimes humorous book involving another member of the awesome Argeneau family. Tomasso is being held naked in a cage in the cargo hold of a private plane, when an unlikely rescuer, named Abigail, frees him and they both escape with a parachute out the door. They must now find civilization and a phone to report their location so that the kidnappers can be stopped before more immortals are abducted. Love this whole series.

I love all the Argeneau and Rogue Hunter books, Ms Sands somehow keeps coming up with inventive new plots after all this time!! And it seems like the books may be getting new covers, which are gorgeous!! I'm mostly over covers with a half (or more) nekkid guy on the cover, but the way these are done, they seem like a screen grab of the book as I read it. Thanks for everything you do Ms Sands!! I appreciate this series so very much!

LynsaySands is like a favorite sweater. Super comfy and inviting. I never feel disappointed when I read her books. Twin brother, action, mystery, romance and humor. Tomasso is in a fix and Abigail has the solution. The Castaway has nothing on this couple. Sands delivered again.

I am a huge fan of the Argeneau vamp series. Lo v e all the characters and story lines and this one was no different. Until I got to the end and found out it wasn't the end and it would be six months until the next book. So I am not happy. This is the first one that has done this otherwise it would have been 5 stars.

True to the Series. I have read all of the Argeneau titles and obviousy enjoy how the series evolves. My only criticism is that this is not a read alone title --a lot of the story relied on reading the previous book. For the first time reader of the Argeneau Series my advice is to start at the beginning. The stories are light and the characters even though they have "special talents" have very human thoughts and interesting adventures--good light contemporary supernatural romances (Linsay has a very original explanation as to how vampires came to be.)

Was much better than the Justin Bricker story. The typical Lynsay Sands book, sexy smoldering vulnerable immortal man meets mate during his kidnapping. They escape and have to hike in a remote island to civilization, she almost dies from an illness and is turned, then kidnapped by his kidnappers. Excitement and danger plus romance.

Love Lynsay Sands and the Argeneau family of immortals. Even though I will always read her books I feel this one just missed the mark . The reason why is, it left me hanging with unresolved issues. If the book is going to be two part then let me know in advance. I would have waited and read both together.

I started with this series in 2005. I loved the writing style, the humor, the characters, and the happily ever after at the end of the books. I keep reading because they were well thought out love stories that revisited my old friends from different books. There is now 24 of these books in the series and my honest opinion is what the check happened? Have they replaced the original author cheaper model? There is now less storyline in favor of bad sex. By 24 books much of the "bring the new reader up to speed" should have been dealt with in a reunion book. The writing style is making. Some of the humor still remains but it lacking. The happily ever after at the end of the book has given way to cliff hanger. I was ok the first time but this book is disjointed from my last. It makes me wonder if there is an update to my last book that I didn't get. Now we have ANOTHER cliff hanger and the presale of next book due out in 2017. If I had to guess that one too will be another cliff hanger with poor writing. I started this book lost. I had to reread sections of the last book and research stuff online to start the story. That's mind boggling. I'm returning this book and am adding Mrs Sands to my DO NOT READ list.

Let start my saying a love Lynsay Sands books. That said this one gets 4 stars out of 5 because there were some scenes that I just couldn't buy into even if it's a fiction book. As usual I had my laugh out loud moment but not as often as usual. The immortal was as sexy and tempting as much as any of the past immortals but he didn't seem to be quite as smart or savvy. The plot was new and refreshing but just needed more reality to make it believable. I miss having the original Argeneaus more involved. I know that they have found their life mates but that doesn't mean they stop running the family business. I actually read this book last year but waited to give my review because I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the series as a whole and where it started and where it was come. I hope that Ms Sands takes these reviews to heart and brings back the laughs and the more interesting ways the lifemates met and ended up together. What happened to Aunt Marguerite sticking her nose in everyone's business? Even with a lifemate she should still be meddling. As a loyal fan I just miss the quirky way lifemates met and then had to figure out how to deal with the whole immortal issue. I guess this kidnapping of immortals storyline has just gone on to long. Just doesn't seem likely that the most powerful race on the planet can't figure out who is taking them or how to stop them faster. At the rate they are going how on earth did they make it for thousands of years? I have already purchased the next book Immortal Unchained and seriously hope that it's back on tract or at least more believable. I hope this review is helpful. The book is worth reading for the series but not necessarily going to keep you from understanding what is going on with the rest of the series if you don't and I find that hard to say because I love love love this series.

Full disclosure, I’ve never read any of the Immortal books before and starting on #24 probably wasn’t the best idea. But my library only has a limited selection of audiobooks available and I had to take what I could get. So this review will be from the perspective of someone totally new to the series.
And the verdict is: I didn’t like it.
The characters were annoying and hard to warm up to, the plot was slow and disjointed. The mythos surrounding the Immortals was poorly explained. And this was very obviously a filler book for the broader, over-arching series plot because a big bad villain is discussed but there’s zero payoff to his story.
<Spoiler Alert>
Okay, so the story begins with Abigail meeting her friend, Jet, at a bar. Abigail was incredibly annoying to listen to for most of the book because she went on and on and on about how fat and unattractive she was. It seriously went on forever and dominated her every thought and action. How she didn’t blame the cute bartender chick for not assuming that she and Jet were a couple because Jet was so handsome and Abigail so fat. How there was no way in the world a god like Tomasso would ever be interested in her because she’s so fat. How she could only walk for a short way because she was so fat. On and on it went until I wanted to strangle her. Jet was a great character though and it’s clear he’s being set up to be a life-mate for someone else in the series and I’m glad. He deserves a HEA.
Getting back to the story, Jet is a pilot and gets an emergency job to fly some cargo to Caracas. He brings Abigail along so they can vacation together when they get there. One thing leads to another and Abigail ends up having to hide in the cargo area where she finds that the “cargo” is a gorgeous naked Tomasso drugged into unconsciousness. Abigail frees him and he wakes up, recognizes her as his life-mate, and they immediately have some hanky panky time, though not actual sex. Then they pass out for a few hours.
This is one of the places where the mythos was poorly explained. As a newcomer to the series, I wanted an explanation for why they pass out after orgasming. That seems really inconvenient considering that life-mates are irresistibly drawn to each other for sex round the clock. They must miss out on entire centuries of their lives as a result. And how did this even evolve into a thing when it makes them so vulnerable to danger?
Once they wake up, Tomasso immediately proceeds to take the parachute, grab Abigail and jump out of the plane over open ocean and without listening to her protests that Jet is in the cockpit with the bad guys. This whole section of the book was ridiculously unbelievable. Abigail is not strapped into the parachute in any way and she manages to brain herself on the side of the plane on the way out so she’s unconscious and just a limp sack in his arms. And somehow he manages to hang onto her AND a first aid kit when he deploys the chute and they jerk to a near-halt. Total crap. And THEN we’re expected to believe that Abigail remained unconscious for the next 8+ hours as Tomassa swam them both to shore. Bumps on the head don’t knock people out for 8 hours unless they involve life-ending brain trauma. But we’re expected to buy that this happened, and that Abigail was totally fine afterward. Just a little cut on the back of her head and not even much of a headache. Riiiight. Not to mention that we’re bashed over the head with the fact that Abigail was a genius med student well on her way to becoming a doctor when her mother got sick and she had to drop out to nurse her. And yet Abigail never once considers that being unconscious for that long was somehow bad. Like I said, super unbelievable.
The time on the beach was tedious and boring. Abigail just went on and on with her self-fat-shaming and belief that Tomasso wouldn’t give her the time of day now that he was able to get a good look at her. Even after he showed ample evidence to the contrary and straight out told her that he found her very attractive, curves and all. Really tedious. Then there was this bizarre bit where Tomasso decided it was a good idea to wrap a vine around his junk to try to keep his randy self from pouncing on Abigail every second of the day. This led to him getting bad injuries to his dick that Abigail then insisted on smearing with antiseptic and wrapping with gauze and even a splint. I’ve seen a lot of reviewers who mention that humor is their favorite part of this series so I guess this was supposed to be funny but I just found it hokey and dumb.
Also during all of this period we have Abigail spending a lot of time berating herself for not being more worried about Jet. And in truth, she really didn’t give him much thought, what with all the fat-shaming and drooling over Tomasso she was doing. Meanwhile, Tomasso is basically not saying anything at all and Abigail isn’t asking any of the questions a real person would ask. For example, one of the few things Tomasso did say was that Abigail was his life-mate and that meant “everything”. But Abigail never asks him to explain what that means and still goes on wool-gathering about how he’ll obviously ditch her as soon as they get back to civilization because she’s so fat and ugly and he can have anyone he wants, etc. etc.
I didn’t understand why Tomasso didn’t take this opportunity to explain that Immortals are a thing and they’re basically vampires but don’t call themselves that. I mean, they were alone walking through the wilderness together, what better time is there for a conversation like this? I also didn’t get why Tomasso refused to take blood from Abigail again. He was experiencing crippling pain because he needed blood and she was right there. He gave some hand-wave explanation in his inner monolog about how he needed to convince her to stay with him forever and he wouldn’t do that by snacking on her like some ravenous beast, but still. They were in a desperate situation and he was becoming weaker and more of a liability by the second. What if the bad guys had found them? What if Abigail had gotten in some kind of trouble and needed to be rescued but he was too weak to help? He’d already snacked on her once on the plane without a second thought and she didn’t even know it happened because he’d been giving her an orgasm at the time. He totally could have done the same thing again without it being an issue. Or, like I said, just have the talk with her and then she probably would have volunteered to help him out. Just seems really dumb to go on in that state for no reason.
After a super long period of wasting time on this beach, finally Sands just sends a boat of fishermen so Tomasso can swim out to them, drink their blood to regain his strength and heal his dick, and then get Abigail back to civilization. They end up at a swanky resort where they finally have penetrative sex for the first time. Although I wasn’t entirely sure that’s what had happened until later in the book because Sands’s description was super vague. Something like he “lowered her until her butt reached his lap” but no mention of him actually going inside her. Considering that all their previous encounters had been close but not quite on the penetration, I couldn’t tell if they were actually doing it here or not. But later on Abigail’s inner monolog says they had sex for real so…yay, I guess?
Then Abigail comes down with Dengue fever, which turns hemorrhagic and she starts to die. So Tomasso turns her into an Immortal without ever having had the talk with her. Although Abigail had sort of figured out the vampire part on her own and had told him that she “didn’t want to be a blood-sucker.” When she wakes up there are a bunch more eye-rollingly hokey scenes that I guess were meant to be funny as she checks out her new rocking body and says “pow-pow” over and over for some reason. Then she has this long and rambling inner monolog talk with herself about how Tomasso must be a nice vampire like this pit bull she once knew and then immediately after she has almost the exact same talk out loud with Tomasso. He explains a few things about Immortals but not much and Abigail is totally fine with not knowing most of the pertinent details of her new lifestyle. I guess this was done so that we wouldn’t be sitting through a giant info dump of stuff that most readers would already know but since I didn’t know the info I found Abigail’s blithe choice of ignorance to be really unbelievable and annoying. It results in Abigail not having any clue what her new powers are or what her body is capable of, which ends up being a dumb liability in the final climax.
Jet shows up, having spent the last week desperately searching for Abigail like a real hero and gets kind of pissed that Abigail is happily loving it up with Tomasso in a luxury resort as if she hasn’t given Jet a second thought. Then Abigail makes him feel super guilty for thinking that since she almost died of the Dengue fever, even though she totally DID forget Jet for most of the book and had been berating herself for doing so.
Then the bad guys show up and kidnap Jet, Abigail and Mary, the heroine of a previous book and Tomasso’s brother’s life-mate. The kidnappers prove they’re a bunch of bumbling idiots by not bothering to remove Abigail’s sunglasses to check her eyes for the tell-tale silver flecks that mark her as an immortal, which was really unbelievable. Then they take them back to a villa that is literally right next door to the one the Immortals are staying at and yet Tomasso and crew can’t find them. Abigail is tied to the bed with just a rope because the bad guys think she’s human and she sits there for hours and hours not escaping because she doesn’t know what her new body is capable of and is paralyzed with fear of making a wrong choice and getting Jet or Mary killed. Eventually one of the bad guys comes in and helpfully monologs about all the dastardly evil they’re involved in and gives tons of information about the island they’re keeping all the kidnapped immortals on.
Then he tries to blackmail Abigail into having sex with him in exchange for Jet’s life. She finally snaps and kills the guy, then gets shot 3 times in the heart by the second guy, returns fire, killing him too, and passes out. Tomasso rushes in and is totally not worried about her at all since she’s immortal and any sense of urgency goes right out the window. Then she wakes up in Canada and the book is over. No resolution on the island or the evil doctor who is calling the shots. It was just a filler book.
<End Spoilers>
So all in all, I was left disappointed by the book. I really disliked Abigail and her self-hating ways in the beginning and didn’t believe any of her actions throughout the book because she didn’t ask the questions any functioning adult would ask in her situation. Tomasso was boring and silent all the time when it would have made a lot more sense to speak up or take action. And the plot was slow, disjointed, and just marking time for the over-arching story. Definitely don’t pick this book as your first introduction to the series.

This book was an almost parallel story to Tomasso’s brother’s tale. Here, we join Tomasso, having just been taken away in a plane from his original kidnapping spot. While the team is working madly to find both brothers, Tomasso isn’t going to just wait around to be rescued.
Abigail has hit a big turning point in her life – her biggest responsibility, her ailing mother, has suddenly been removed (via her passing) and she has no money for school (or life). Meeting up with her longtime BFF, Jet, is supposed to get her back on whatever path she’s destined for, but instead she ends up sneaking onto his plane (at his insistence) and getting dragged into the world of kidnapping and immortals.
Tomasso, the immortal Abigail stumbles upon locked up in the back of the plane, immediately recognizes his life mate and knows they have to act quickly. They jump for the plane and end up stranded on some sort of deserted island. This is obviously not the optimal place for an immortal, or for newly identified life mates. Hiding what he is from her while starving makes for tough, life threatening work for them both. This couple was good to watch grow into a great pair, no matter how insistent Abigail is about being independent. While her struggle to make decisions was sometimes a bit annoying, I’m glad she didn’t let him bowl over her in every decision. It will be interesting to see where this larger evil doctor storyline ends up.

I’ve been a Lynsay Sands fan for a long time and fell in love with the Argeneau family years ago, however the last few books I have been very disappointed in.
Immortal Nights is about Dante’s twin brother, Tomasso. The handsome vamp meets his life mate while held captive (naked at that) aboard a cargo plane. The kidnapping ring that took Dante have Tomosso as well. Tomosso is “sort of” rescued by Abigail, his life mate. From this point on, the story line is so unbelievable. Yes, it is fiction, however fiction should be believable, that is what distinguishes good fiction from bad.
The sad thing about these latest novels, this one especially, is that it has a great story base and the makings for an excellent novel, but it fails to deliver in execution and style.
I am also surprised at the lack of editing. One thing the author is guilty of is overusing and “misusing” muttered and murmured in the dialogue. One page alone, these words were used 5 times. Besides being distracting, making it hard to read, they are not used correctly. No one is going to be in fear for their life, excited, or extremely happy and either mumble or murmur. I am surprised the editorial staff did not request this be corrected. The last novel wasn’t as bad, and I thought she finally had corrected this issue because there were only a few instances. This novel, however was literally every other page and that is not an exaggeration.
I think it is time to put the Argeneau books to bed because each one seems to be a letdown. Ms. Sands is a good writer, but the more she writes in this line, the sloppier it gets. Maybe with a fresh, new storyline, her writing will get back to the way it was when I first fell in love with her books.
Ms. Sands, I truly miss the old you and I hope you get her back.

Abigail took care of her terminally ill mother and recently lost her. She is at a loss with what direction she wants her life to go in. Her long-time best friend Jet, a pilot, invited her to accompany him on an unexpected cargo delivery. However, unknown to him, the cargo turns out to be a unconscious naked man in a cage. Tomasso was kidnapped and drugged and has no idea where he is. Abigail frees him and he instinctively believes she is one of his kidnappers. Normally, as an immortal, he would read her mind to know for certain. He can't. His body instantly responds to her in a way he has never experienced before. He quickly realizes she is his life mate and he must protect her at all cost. Now the adventure begins some of which includes jumping from a plane, fighting a shark, surviving on an island, running from kidnappers, and oh yeah, did I mention Tomasso is an immortal and his body needs blood. He can take a little bite or two from Abigail, right? Wait, she is human. She has no clue immortals exist. Did he really bite her? The Argeneau Book series has humor and adventure. I've read all Ms. Sands novels and this one did not disappoint.

(RabidReads.com)A few months ago I decided to bite the bullet and try the Argeneau Series by Lynsay Sands. By that I mean, it’s really hard to begin a series that has so many books already, but I did. And I ended up really happy that I had done so. Starting this far in didn’t bother me at all, although between book 23, Runaway Vampire, and this one, I did read book 2 to get some background. I also have book 1 in my tbr stack. Yes, I know I read them out of order. I was never confused, so that was a plus. This book really does go hand in hand with Runaway Vampire because Italian twins Dante and Tomasso were kidnapped in that one. That book ended up being Dante’s story after he escapes. This book is what happens to Tomasso.
Abigail is an mildly overweight medical school drop out due to sedentary time spent nursing her mother through her cancer. Now alone in the world except for her best friend Jet, she goes to visit him. Jet is a new cargo plane pilot and he decides to take Abigail with him on a flight to South America so they can spend some time together away from it all. So she secretly boards a flight that has some criminal types along for the ride. When she finds that she’s in the cargo hold with a barred cell holding an unconscious, chained, and nude man, she decides she needs to help, especially when she realizes that the man is a kidnap victim. What she doesn’t realize is that Tomasso is a vampire.
The author has given these vampires their own world building and this group lives in Toronto and works with their own corporation, most of the time. They are immortal and must drink blood through their fangs-from bags. When someone is turned to vampire, they end up being a pretty much their perfect self as far at looks. Old? You’re young again. Overweight? Not anymore. In addition, there’s an interesting backstory about how these vampires came to be. I also think that Abigail’s character is nicely drawn by the author and she was my favorite of the book. She gave up becoming a doctor in order to take care of her mother and used all of her college fund to pay off her mothers medical bills. And she ended up in some crazy situations thanks to Tomasso. Tomasso is very handsome and very Italian. He is a strong man, one that works for the Argeneau Corporation, and he loves with all his heart-once he meets his mate in Abigail.
I listened instead of read this book.I thought the voices were done well and the narration by Lisa Larsen kept me listening. I enjoyed the whole thing which I am sure is at least partially due to her excellent narration, although I am really loving all these books by Lynsay Sands. I would definitely be up to for listening to anything else she narrates.
This was pretty much a thrill ride for a large portion of the read. Whether they are escaping from the villains in an unusual manner, or being stalked by the villains, this book kept me listening pretty much non-stop. There’s plenty of murder and mayhem to be had, along with a dose of sexy times. This is one I would recommend to all adult paranormal romance readers, especially ones that enjoy a suspenseful story.

As usual, Lynsay Sands doesn’t disappoint. This story is about Tomasso Notte, one of the Italian branches of the Argeneau immortals. The story stars with Abby meeting her childhood friend Jet, in a bar. While they are talking he gets an urgent call from his boss to fly someone to Caracas. He takes Abby with him as she has nothing to prevent her from having an adventure. But the adventure turns scary when Jet has to hide her from the clients who don’t want anyone else along on the flight, so she winds up in the cargo ares with the client’s cargo. The cargo turns out to be a naked man. When she hears one of the clients checking on the man she hears some chilling information and decides to help the man out. But that leads to him jumping out the back of the cargo area and taking her with him because she’s his life mate and he’d rather die than leave her behind...with this scenario the book takes off with a bang and a whole lot of excitement for Abby. Great book.

Immortal Nights: An Argeneau Novel
1 note & 1 highlight (All visible)
It has been a while since I read a book in this series.
I have to say Lynsay Sands has gotten better and better with each story.
Filled with action and adventure.
Adult romance that makes your toes curl.
Plenty of adult humor that will make you chuckle out loud.
Awesome world and character build.
A mystery that continues to unfold.
I loved it and will continue to the next book in the series very soon.
Great read and very worthy of the full 5 stars.

For the last two years Abigail Forsyth has been taking care of her sick mother, who, unfortunately, lost her battle with cancer a couple of months ago. Now Abi is trying to get her life back on track. When she meets up with childhood best friend Jet, the last thing she expects to do is to tag-along on his job as a cargo pilot.
When the men who hired Jet to take their cargo to Venezuela seem less-than-thrilled that anyone else go with them on the trip, Abi hides in the cargo hold, and she discovers that the cargo comes in the form of a naked man in a cage.
Tomasso Notte and his brother Dante were two more in a string of Immortal kidnappings that have been going on for a few months. Dante managed to escape, and Tomasso only hopes his twin made it to safety. When Tomasso wakes up in his cage in the back of a plane, he knows he’s being transported again and his own hope for escape is looking rather bleak. What he’s surprised about, is the woman in the back of the plane with him. When he can’t read her mind, he immediately knows he’s found his life mate, but who is she? And is she working for his kidnappers?
I felt Immortal Nights was a relatively light read. This series definitely has developed a pattern that typically revolves around an Immortal finding their life mate and Immortal Nights is no different. When Abi and Tomasso finally make a break for it from his captors and parachute onto a beautiful tropical island, I felt like it was a last hurrah to summer, especially seeing as how I’ve already read books that have been mentioning the approaching holiday season.
Their trek to find civilization has no shortage of humorous moments—many at the expense of poor Tomasso suppressing his urge to use her for the blood he so desperately needs at the moment, and the obviously sexual attraction growing between them.
Abigail really stole the show for me character-wise. As Lynsay Sands has shown us many times, she’s a pro at making these down-to-earth and relatable characters and it was nice to read about one such character in Abigail. Seeing her growth from being a woman who put her life on hold to take care of her mother and, in a sense, lose part of herself in the process, to regaining her self-assured confidence was something that was just simply nice to see. She somewhat mirrors Mary’s story from Runaway Vampire.
Overall, I thought that Immortal Nights was a good follow-up to Runaway Vampire. I mean it’s only right that the twins get their stories told back-to-back. However, I was really hoping for some more closure on the whole kidnapping story arc that’s been going on for a couple of books now. I really thought we would get further along on that storyline, but it seems as though that one will be stretched out for yet another book. The ending of Immortal Nights is very promising, and I can tell you already I’m looking forward to the next book.

Ms. Sands is heading down the road of gritty and suspenseful storytelling if Immortal Nights is anything to go by. There’s a new villain in town. The last book hinted but this one confirms it and he’s a nasty piece of work from the hints that were dropped. What was revealed was enough to give me the willies.
In the previous story, Dante escaped a cage he was put in, and eventually fell in love with Mary, but there was always the worry about his trapped twin, Tomasso, who couldn’t escape with him. Tomasso does eventually escape but not without help and it comes from an unlikely heroine in an unusual location. Meet the stowaway, Abigail. She was a pleasant surprise.
The first part of the novel is about surviving on an island and all it entails. It’s not without some hilarious moments and I cracked up when Tomasso decided on the benefits of vines, which was funny as it is, but add in the ‘crab’ attack and I was rolling on the floor. Now, add in Abby’s penchant for nursing and it was knee slapping hysterical. I really enjoyed reading at that point.
The second part of the storyline dealt with the not so great effects of living on an island in primitive conditions. That introduced emotional conflict, drama and relationship complications. There’s a bit of happiness too, some uncomfortable revelations and a reunion. Fans of the series will recognize the conflict and the humor that comes from it, especially when Lucien shows up. That says it all.
The third and final part of the book is where all the action, suspense, worry, and most of the fast paced page flipping occurred. This is where Abby learns some scary facts about possible motive, and intent of the mysterious doctor. It’s also where she has to do some escaping of her own. Will Tomasso return the favor or will he be too late? The author kept me on tenterhooks waiting to find out about Abby and her companions’ fates.
As fans of the series expect, the scenes where the hero and heroine discover their shared passion as lifemates are well done, and at times highlighted with a bit of humor. I liked Abby’s dialogue about all the places she’s woken up in. I also liked the fact that both she and Tomasso were geeky smart and that they both found it a huge turn on.
The final word comes from the villain himself and it’s creepy as can be. This scene put chills up my spine and made my stomach drop. I recognize that this new plot thread has the capacity to be dark and deviant – I just hope it doesn’t overshadow my favorite Argeneau family. The one thing it did do was insure my undivided loyalty to this series. This is one bad guy I’m going to want to see go down, but the how, when and by whom is what is going to keep me coming back until he gets his comeuppance. I am sure most fans who read that part are going to agree. This series just got an injection of freshness and drama. I can’t wait to see what Ms. Sands does next but Immortal Nights was a great intro and is not to be missed.

So, Lynsay Sands totally amazes me. Twenty four books into the Argeneau series but, she always comes up with a new storyline and characters that are fun and exciting. She mixes the old with the new, always makes me laugh and definitely has me looking for a life mate.
Tomasso and Abigail were a very unlikely pair and were thrown together in the most unusual circumstances. But, they were great together. He knew what was happening every time he touched her and she just couldn’t understand why she was always waking up in the strangest positions and places.
The island they were stranded on was beautiful but she was tired of running and of tyring to find civilization. When they are rescued, she gets even more confused and becomes extremely ill. There is only one way for Tomasso to save the woman that completes him and he won’t let her die. The next time she wakes up, she’ll be an immortal.
So much went on in this book. The time stranded on the island after escaping Tomasso’s kidnappers was hysterical. His solution for his constant erection had me laughing out loud. Her solution to all the crab bites on his “member” was even funnier. Once at the resort, things became a little more serious since he had a lot of explaining to do and she had a lot to digest. But, they had their moments there too. They soon found out that you really shouldn’t fool around with a blood bag in your mouth.
I loved that Lucian, Dante, Mary and Brickler all were included in Immortal Nights. Then Aunt Marguerite made an appearance as well. I love that woman! But, that’s what I adore about Lynsay Sands … each book is a stand-alone but she knows that we will all want an update about our other favorites. I’m not sure who she is going to pair with Jet but, the ending to this one was a bit intriguing. It will be real interesting to see where she is taking us next.
Again, Immortal Nights was fun, as usual. Lynsay Sands doesn’t know how to write a “dull moment” into a story. She’s always keeping it light and fun until she has to bring some seriousness into the story. Then, that’s even a little bit funny as well. She writes characters that are interesting, intense and good-natured … that all have a “light” side to them and have a wonderful sense of humor. As I said, I am not sure where she is bringing the next installment of the Argeneau’s but it looks like it may be a bit more serious than Immortal Nights. I’m looking forward to see if she can surprise me and still keep me as entertained as she has throughout this whole series.

Review courtesy of All Things Urban Fantasy:
This series was in serious need of a infusion of plot and villain, and it really seems like we are headed that way. Taking place almost exactly at the same time as the previous book, IMMORTAL NIGHTS tells the story of the second Nolte twin, Tomassino, the other tall, dark and beefy Italian heartthrob. It also introduces another human woman who ends up stealing the show.
Abigail was a fun character. She’s a bit run down, when we first meet her, but she’s extremely clever, and is only one year away from finishing her medical degree. She’s cared for her mother until her death, and that has drained all her energy and all her savings. When the opportunity for a free vacation comes up, she jumps at the opportunity to accompany her childhood friend down to South America. She just didn’t count on it being quite the adventure it was.
Hidden away in the cargo hold of the plane, she finds Tomassino, drugged and caged, being taken away to a secret island laboratory. Their escape is dramatic and fun, with a hint of the ridiculous that characterizes most of the romantic courtings in the ARGENEAU world. When they finally make it to civilization, they meet up with his twin Dante and a Mary, Dante’s new lifemate.
The twins are identical, but the women do not have the same reaction to both, which was really interesting to read. When Abigail first sees Dante, she worries that she will have conflicting feelings, but as soon as Tomassino comes back, both Mary and her are pleased to find out that their attraction is very twin-specific. I was worried about that for a split second, too.
Abigail is the hero in this book. She really takes the lead and saves the day in a big way. It was satisfying to see her keep her wits about her in desperate situations, and she kicked serious ass by the end of the book.
I was hoping the storyline wouldn’t wrap up too quickly, and I’m so excited that it has only gotten more interesting and high stakes. We’re heading into Island of Dr Moreau territory and I love love love it!

Immortal Nights is the most recent book in the Argeneau series. I have heard nothing but good things about this series so when I got a chance to read this book I dived into the story as soon as I possibly could and it was wonderful .
In this book we mainly follow Abigail and Tomasso ,these two met under really bizarre circumstances. Abigail is in the cargo section of a plane and she really isn't supposed to be on this plane , but when she finds out that the cargo that's being transported is really a drugged, naked man in a cage she immediately springs action to save him. When he wakes up and they have there first conversation the you could see sizzling hot attraction brewing between them . I knew at that moment that I was in for a thrilling, sexy adventure with Abigail and Tomasso and I enjoyed every minute of it . They escaped by jumping off the plane mid flight and this is where the story really takes off. We spend a lot of time in the wilderness in this book ,it really was fun getting them in this situation and just like Abigail and Tomasso I was thrilled when they finally found their way to civilization lol .There's just so much that happens in this story , it constantly kept me on my toes and my eyes glued to the page ,I could not put this book down. When we learn more about Tomasso and overall just more about the immortals I was just fascinated, I love that we got all this information on them. We also want to find out more about the bad guy in this book ,we are constantly hearing about this place called the island during this story ,so when we finally found out what it is frankly it was chilling to say the least. With a sexy romance that will have you smiling just as much as it will have you fanning yourself , and intriguing cast of characters, all the immortals and a plot that will keep you wrapped up in Abigail and Tomasso story Lynsay Sands has created a fantastic story with Immortal Nights.
Immortal Nights was a sexy ,thrilling ,captivating ,paranormal romance at the end of the book I thought Abigail and Tomasso got the most perfect story for them and I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book in this series . If you love all these things in your books I suggest you get a copy .

This was a very good addition to the series. I really liked Abigail and Tomasso and have been curious about what happened to Tomasso after his brother's story in book #23, [book:Runaway Vampire|25706485].
Abigail is a woman at a crossroads. She had been in medical school until her mother got sick with cancer. Since her father wasn't in the picture, Abigail took it upon herself to quit school to take care of her mother. Her mother passed away and Abigail found herself trying to figure out what to do next.
Tomasso is an Immortal, a type of vampire originating in Atlantis that's made by the use of nanobots. Tomasso has a twin brother, Dante, and they have a large family that they're close to. Tomasso and Dante end up in Texas to help with an issue the Immortal council is trying to solve where humans seem to be kidnapping Immortals.
Once Abigail settled up her mother's estate, she didn't know what she should do next so she decided to go to visit her BFF growing up, Jet. Jet had been a pilot in the military once out, took a job working for a private company piloting cargo shipments. Jet was supposed to have a day or 2 off to spend with Abigail but gets called in for an emergency flight to Venezuela. Thinking that visiting Venezuela would be a fun adventure, Jet sneaks Abigail on the plane in the cargo area when they take off. Abigail is surprised when she finds the tarp covered crate that's being shipped is really a tarp covered cage with an unconscious man inside. She takes out the IV that's keeping him drugged and the man (Tomasso) wakes up relatively quickly. He saves them from his kidnappers but they end up in the middle of nowhere.
Abigail and Tomasso end up in an un-populated area about an hour away from Venezuela and have to forge through a jungle in order to find help. Tomasso realizes that Abigail is his lifemate and knows he has to win her but them being in a jungle and Tomasso's lack of blood makes things more difficult. Abigail is confused by Tomasso acting attracted to her one moment and then acting distant the next but she doesn't realize that it's just because he really needs blood and is trying to keep his distance so he doesn't drink from her. Even once they get to civilization there are still issues to deal with that cause some difficulties. Thankfully, Dante and his lifemate show up as well as a few other Immortals and this is a good thing since, with the kidnappers still on the lose, the Immortals are still at risk. Thankfully, things get worked out for the most part and Tomasso and Abigail end the story starting a HEA together.
This was a very good story. I liked Abigail and thought she was a good heroine. She had some body issues before the change and I was slightly put off by that but it wasn't anything major. I liked Tomasso and thought he was a good hero. The story was pretty good...it got a bit slow a couple times but was still interesting enough to keep me engaged. Overall, this was a very good story and I'd recommend it. :)
* note - I listened to the audio version of this book and the narrator did a very good job.

Ms. Sands has written more than 20 Argeneau vampire romances. I've read just about all of them and in the beginning I enjoyed them very much. I think it's time for me to stop because I haven't been enjoying them anymore. We're far beyond the stories of the "original" or oldest Argeneaus and I'm sorry to say that for me the novelty has long since worn off. Although she's a good writer from a technical point of view, at this point Ms. Sands is writing the same book over and over. The names and the locales change but every book serves up the same story - vampire meets intended mate, knows right away she is his mate because he can't read her thoughts and feelings. Then they're wildly attracted to each other sexually. He knows why, she doesn't have a clue. When they finally have sex, they both pass out afterwards. Yes, that happens early on in the relationship, another sign they are meant to be mated. The books are so predictable now for me as a long-time reader that they are a yawn no matter how Ms. Sands varies the background story. I tried to read "Immortal Nights" but it was a "no go" for me - and I had received the book as a gift! In all fairness, some other long-running series have devolved into the same-old same-old routine, but not all. For example, The Black Dagger Brotherhood series and the Dark Hunter series are still fresh and new after 14 and 20+ books respectively. If you haven't read any of the Argeneau series or read only a few of the books, by all means jump in. There's a lot to had before the books become formulaic. I'm finished.

I'm not sure what better to say in this review other than 24 books in the series and I'm still hooked. Need I really say more? Anything else I can say doesn't even close to the ringing endorsement that does. It truly is an amazing feat to keep a series going that long successfully. In fact I've binge read all 24 books over the past few weeks, so honestly that's even more impressive. As I finished each book, I immediately wanted the next one. Of course this is paranormal romance and all by the same author in the same world, so yes some of the relationship aspects do feel a bit formulaic at times. However, that does not hinder things one little bit. In fact, I quite enjoy Lynsay Sands almost set romance progression, as it leaves much more room for the side angles and plot lines. The romance parts are quite enjoyable, but they are ensured so I feel like they don't weigh things down at all leaving space to focus on what's going on around the couple. I always enjoy the plotlines, and how real the threats feel in this series, and IMMORTAL NIGHTS is no exception.
Tomasso and Abs make a really great pair. He's so brusque and a man of few words, and she's a full blown babbler at times. I found it to be a good balance between the two. There's also a lot of humor in this one, both between Tomasso and Abs, as well as the side characters/surrounding events. This really helped to keep the story light despite some of the threats being darker than some of the previous we've seen. Add that to the electric chemistry between Tomasso and Abs, and it made for a well balanced and a very enjoyable read over all.
If you enjoy paranormal romance and a very long running series that shows no sign of going stale, IMMORTAL NIGHTS is the perfect afternoon read for you. I can't wait to see what happens next!

I just love to read this series. The storyline along with the love making makes me wish that it could be true in life to have a life mate that loves you just for you. As for one that is fixing to turn 65 would like to experience that love again.

I have been following series since it started. Lynsays ability to stay funny while reading an interesting story is still there. This story begins a week after Dante's book with his twin Tomaso. The adventure he and Abigail had was funny and heart warming. I want my own Notte brother!! Can wait to see where this story line is going. Hurry up March for the next book.

I love this series, but this book just missed. I ended up skimming, and I usually only do that through the EXPLANATION parts of this series. This was just boring. The humor was not there. And Abigail, who at first seemed intelligent, just let things go when it counted. Neither of the 2MC's were interesting.

I am a fan of this author but not of this particular book. SLOW and DULL are my first reactions to it. It felt like "filler". The author had a deadline and a commitment to release another book and filled it. Not her best work. The best part is the cover art! Then it goes down from there.

Lynsay Sands delivers another heart pounding and fast paced read. Tomasso handles things well considering waking up naked and on a plane. Abs cracked me up and held up well considering all she goes through. had so much fun reading it. loved it.

I've read all the books in the series, and I have enjoyed them for the most part. Several of the last few haven't been that great.
In this book something was just off. It didn't have the usual flair. The dialog was off, plot development seemed lacking, and the new characters just didn't have enough development. I may continue reading this series, but I'm hoping that Lynsay takes a hard look at what she's writing, because the quality is going down in my opinion.
PS: I miss the happy endings of her books. Usually I'm okay with some cliffhangers, but this one just felt off and forced.

This is was good, as usual. I loved hearing about a few members of the family and was very excited to see how Tomasso's story would play out. To meet on a plane and with the way they did! It was funny at times. I really enjoyed their story.

I really get emotional entwined in Ms Sands Books. Love her characters. Have everyone of the Argeneau series. Love these immortals! My only complaint is Ms Sands takes too long between books. I am getting old and don't want to die before each family member is married to their life mate! LOL. So Lynsay please write a little quicker. I know you cannot rush genius, but I am aging quickly. These books are action packed, just romantic enough. The characters are fantastic. Love love love them each an everyone.

Tomasso Notte finally gets his own story and all I can say is it’s about time. This is just another great installment in the Argeneau series and you get to see more of the new villain that was previously mentioned in Runaway Vampire. I found this book really interesting because you find out that this book took place at almost exactly the same time as the pervious book so it was funny to see that both twins met their life mates at about the same time. This book was so easy and fun to read I can’t wait to read the next one in the series.

The story of Tomasso Notte, immortal who was recently kidnapped along with his twin brother Dante while helping Argeneau Corporation and the Northwest Council discover who has been kidnapping many immortals in the Texas area. His brother Dante was able to get away however Tomasso was drugged and taken by plane by the kidnappers to an island off Venezuela to be examined by mad scientist Dr. Dressler. The plane was being flown by a man named Jet who was not aware of his cargo and his friend Abigail Forsythe who he had hide in the back because she was not supposed to be on board. This was a really good story as Tomasso finds his lifemate Abigail who helps him escape from his cage and his IV which is drugging him. So much happens after this with more kidnappings, murder, attempted rape, evil scientist, lost on an island, near death from island diseases caused by mosquitos, and some really hot sex scenes and also the story will continue as things are set up for future stories to come.
Loved Tomasso's story with his lifemate Abigail as he and Dante have been in several of the other books prior and it was good to get his story.

Here is the story of Tomasso, Dante's twin who had also been kidnapped. The bad guys are still on the loose and it is interesting to watch all the aspects of the storyline come together. You really need to read at least Dante's story Runaway Vampire before you read this one. That was the first of Lyndsay Sands' vampire books that I read. Now I have also read One Lucky Vampire and am going to go back to the beginning to read them all now. Tomasso is a wonderful hero and Abigail is definitely his match. The story moves along and I liked seeing them grow and get to know each other. Dante and Mary show up and we meet Jet who will probably get his own book soon if I read the signs correctly! Steamy scenes abound. The ending lets us know that the bad guys are still going strong and gives a little idea of where it will be going next. If you haven't read any of these, start with Runaway Vampire and then go immediately to this one. If you have been reading the series all along, you probably pre-ordered this one like I did! Enjoy.

I loved this novel as with all her books she gives everything the reader needs to keep your interest. I was hooked from the beginning with Abigail (Abs) and Jethro (Jet) meeting. His employer calls to have him fly a last minute trip to Venezuela to deliver cargo. You don't know what is being delivered. He asked Abs to go on the adventure. Your mind starts thinking what is going to happen. This story develops more and more with each page turn. The Argenta series are my favorite. This one didn't disappoint.

I really enjoyed reading Tomasso's story. I have to admit that I felt anxious for him considering the way the previous book in this series ended. So I was eager to find out what had happened to him. Was he alright? Would he be saved? Would Dante & the others find him again? It's always a worry when bad things happen to characters in a book, you tend to become attached especially in a longer series like this one.
Tomasso is found, aided & rescued by his newly found lifemate Abigail. (Abs) I found her to be a refreshing change in that she didn't freak out too badly with the discovery of the existence of immortals like many of the other lifemates in the series.
I love the humour in these books, there are always laugh out loud moments which has helped make this series a personal favourite.
The ending has left me irritated and nervous though. Who is this Dr Dressler? What on earth is he doing with the other kidnapped immortals? I dread to think. I'm really hoping he's found and stopped but it's definitely adding an extra twist to this fabulous series.

What can I say:- Lynsay Sands thoroughly entertaining writing is one of the reasons I started writing again. Once again she brings her story to life with great characters, hot scenes, humour and a little intrigue. I loved it, and already have the next instalment on pre order. Roll on 2017.

Title: IMMORTAL NIGHTS
Series: Argeneau # 24
Category /Genre: Paranormal Romance
Recommended for: 18+ due to sexual content
Received from: Orange County Library (borrowed audiobook)
This is the 24th book in the Argeneau series. Though each does stand on its own, I highly recommend reading them all and in the order of release.
I borrowed this as an audio book from my local library. This time, I enjoyed it as I was driving to and from work, and finished it up as I was painting in my house.
I love this series and have enjoyed every story. Since most of this story happens on a tropical island, it especially kept my interest. I love the beach, sand, sun, etc. My most recent vacation was spent island hopping, so I could easily picture the venues where Tomasso and Abigail are spending their immortal nights.
I won’t miss an Argeneau story! Excuse me while I pop onto the library website to get the next book – I hope it’s available in audio.

After never reading any book in this series, I now have the great urge to go start it!
We start with Abigail who's life has pretty much hit rock bottom. Her mother just died and after being her sole caretaker, she has no job, money or place to live. She's just started her visit with her best friend/almost brother Jet when he gets an emergency job to fly his cargo plane to Caracas. He sneaks Abigail in the plane against his customers wishes so they can have a fun in the sun weekend on the beach.... and the "fun" starts then!
I haven't read any other book in the series but I will start them now! Also, can't wait to see what awaits Jet!

Please RateImmortal Nights: An Argeneau Novel
Tomasso and Abigail's characters are well developed and I could relate to both of them throughout the story. Abigail's insecurities spoke to me on a deeper level and made her a relatable character that anyone would like. And the new story plot with Dr. Dressler! I absolutely love it! The mystery this installation of the Argeneau Series creates is fascinating, making it very difficult to wait until the next novel comes out; I had to preorder the next novel already!
I am excited to learn more about Dr. Dressler's experiments and what he will figure out about immortals. And I am definitely looking forward to Jet's story. Marguerite always finds just the right life mate for everyone! I just hope Lynsay Sands keeps giving us such amazing stories for years to come!
