I thought this book and the others are a great read. These books are in a series, and they are tied together. I would recommend this book and the others to anyone who likes ex military characters. I like the characters, the setting, and the story lines. although it does tend to get a little draggy at times, it is still a exciting book. I lived in FL in the 60's and have been to Key West so I know where the places mentioned in the story are. I really love this book. Jesse McDermitt at times reminds me of Reacher.

You will like this series if you are a cruiser (I am), you have cruised the Keys (I have), you are a boat owner and enjoy almost anything to do with boating (I do) you know, use and understand firearms (I do). You will not like this series if you do not: enjoy endless repetitive introductions of each character to each new character and a recap of the each character's history in each book-sometimes the more than once in the same book; enjoy plot recaps for each book (like HBO mini series); believe a sitting President would go fishing on a civilian boat with only 4 minimally-armed Secret Service agents; believe a man can have a 14 hour erection (twice); it is possible to communicate in Morse code with a hand held laser to a satellite; or typos. I know its fiction but really for me it has to be somewhat believable. But with Kindle Unlimited the books are free so they has that going for them

I have read all the books in this series. I have really enjoyed each one and this last one is no different. By now I am familiar with the characters and their separate identities. Jesse is fairly predictable except in the case of bad guys. He often goes off on them and I can identify with that. I appreciate the attention to detail and the way the characters mesh together. I do not know how many of these Mr. Stinnett will write but I applaud his skill and abilities. Very enjoyable series. I highly recommend all of them.

I absolutely loved 'Fallen King'. The story line was well written and the way it played out kept me glued to the pages. Full of action, thrilling adventures, great dialog and awesome characters. I love Jesse. He is such a great lead. I can't wait to read the next book. A great add to your tbr list.

This is another chapter in the life down in the keys. I like the way they all tie together, and can be read as a stand alone story, if you want. Not a lot of pages spent trying to tie the books together, but just enough to explain the overall theme. Already downloaded next one!!

Really fun and easy to read. I just discovered Wayne's books about a month ago, so I've been binge reading them. They are action packed, but the relaxing on the Florida Island sounds so good I want to move there.

Great character and continuation of his life story. Love the keys and the details about those. Diving, flying, go fast boats, fishing, and an array of good solid characters that are part of Jesse community....ACTION!

Jesse's inherent personality draws him into more danger. Santiago's gone, but the enemy still wants Jesse. This novel is going to see Jesse kidnapped by the woman whom he got away from when Santiago's crew was taken down. You'll have to read the full story to find out what and how this all comes out. This is a great read.

I have enjoyed the series. Love the character Jesse. Having lived for two years in Key West, I enjoy the setting. My only complaint is when the author in this book allows both Jesse and Kim to use sub-standard English - "me and Deuce ... ." Never noticed it in the preceding books. Highly recommended.

Fast moving, great story line. I love it when the good guys come out on top. Surprising plot twists keep me reading for longer than I intended to but I just can't put the story aside for wanting to see what happens next!

Every once in a while I'll read a book by an author whose writing style pulls me right into the world he, or she, has created, my wife will attest to this, Mr. Stinnett is one of them. I enjoyed his Jesse McDermitt series immensely. I spent 9 months at the Fleet Sonar School and the Naval Airbase in Key West in the Fall and Winter of '62-'63 and loved it.

Wayne Stinnet knocks another one out of the park. Again a great storyline, excellent dialogue and superb writing, makes this a must read in the Fallen series. Wayne always makes me wish I knew something about sailing, because as always by the time I'm done reading one of his books I'm ready to move to the Keys and buy a boat. If you haven't read his previous five or so books, do yourself a favorite and do so, you won't regret it.

Only thing I have to say is that I hate that I read it so quickly and now have to wait on the next one. When I found this great series from a recco of another author and friend, Ed Robinson, it was great to have 4 books to read. Wayne - hurry and release the next two together so I can at least stretch out my reads over a full week! Congrats on another Keys adventure. Off to Islamorada next week to help calm my nerves.

BY JOVE HE'S DONE IT AGAIN!

Wayne gives new meaning in the Phrase "Let Me Entertain You". This book was "Just What The Doctor Ordered" to bring you away into an adventure where all of your senses and imaginations are stirred expertly so that you can slip into a "Real Imaginative World" and become part of what's going on. BRAVO ZULU! Five Stars and waiting for our next adventure.

I've read all the previous books in this series, and have found them to be very enjoyable. However, now that I've gotten this far, they are beginning to be quite predictable with the same characters and pretty much the same sequence of events.

I have read all his book in this series. When I find a good writer I like to "follow" them. I am also a fan of Louis L'Amour and have read all of his books. I am looking forward to the rest of Mr. Stinnett's novels. The only issue I have is how much he reiterated events or information from his previous novels. But still can see why it could be important.

This series is addictive. I am really enjoying the stories. I now have my husband reading the series. We live in Ft. Myers so the locations he speaks about are very familiar. There is violence, which I do NOT like, but it is handled in such a way that I can deal with it.

Have loved all the Jesse McDermitt novels. The character is they type you'd want as a friend. The setting makes you feel you can almost see the sunsets and feel the breeze from the water. Good story line. The author has joined my list of favorites.

I downloaded the first Fallen book in the series free and then went on to read them all within the next week. I love this series and can't wait for the next book! All the books in the Fallen series are well-written and there is action, romance, history, and some great characters - pretty much everything a good story needs. I recommended this series to a colleague recently, and he loved them as much as I did. If you are looking for a good read, I highly recommend this series.

I had the pleasure of reading a prepublication manuscript on this one. If you think his earlier books were good, wait until you wade into this! Fast boats, float planes, mysterious reef fish kills, Haitian gangs, high seas rampage, and a hauntingly sensual, spell-casting temptresses are all part of this new one, and that’s just skimming the surface. Stinnett brings back some of his remarkable characters from past books and adds a collage of new and exciting ones. His portrayal of this close-knit group of individuals who bond, and share, and face challenge after challenge, is remarkable. He makes the reader part of the team, as you sense their danger, feel the camaraderie, and experience their anguish…
Wayne Stinnett is a naturalist and a warrior, but most of all he’s a man who has a history with the sea and an innate understanding of violence, honor, and love. In “Fallen King” he has cleverly surrounded his protagonist with believable characters, providing a powerful continuity to each paragraph, extraordinary detail, and a tension that grows until the climactic end. Prepare to be captured by one of America’s rising stars in adventure writing.

Once I enjoyed mr Stinnett writing. I specially enjoyed the rules on dating. Looking for word to the next book. My only concern is Jesse's age, wondering how many more stories will we enjoy before Jesse's age stops him from more adventure s.

I gave it 4 stars because of the disappointment in the lack of development between Jesse and Eve, much as I was disappointed in the last book about Jesse's reunion with Kim. After not having seen his daughters since they were babies, they were both big occurences that should have been expanded on. Otherwise this book wass fantastic!

I have read all the books and have enjoyed each one. It's great to read a book with characters I only regret I can't really meet. The author knows his firearms and I ,for one, am sick of reading about nonexistent weapons such as .38 magnums, silencers for revolvers, ad nauseam. I learn about boats and eagerly await the next book.

I've thoroughly enjoyed pretty much every book in this series. Jesse is an engaging character. The whole series transports me to his island and his lifestyle, which is very compelling. They are simple in content, but complex in intensity.

This book is continuing to improve the series. The characters are more complex, the villains more evil, and the scenery beautifully described. There isn't anything wrong with the book, but the ending felt rushed compared to the pacing of the rest of the book. Very good series to read during this summer.

I love Jessie. He is a wonderful character. What I enjoy the most is the whole Florida Keys atmosphere that becomes one of the characters in the book. The adventures are interesting and the books are fast reads.

Jesse McDermitt lives a good life on his little island until some gangboys start throwing grenades in the water. This is a way to get Jesse off his island. You'll need to read the book to find out why. Plus an evil character from the past is back......

I've read every single Jesse McDermitt Novel as well as the Charity Styles follow on series. I couldn't stop reading and can't wait for more. I generally don't write a review as I'm not much of a word smith but I just have to say I'm totally impressed with Wayne Stinnett's books. Please bring on more.

Always enjoy the McDermitt novels. Settings are usually in areas I've visited, which brings them a little more to life. Some stretch to operations, but then are most good adventure novels. If they continue to be published, I'll continue to read!!

Love all the Wayne Stinnett Fallen books. Was sorry to come to the end of the series and look forward to the next book. His writing keeps my attention and his characters are very real and well thought out. Good balance of action and normal time.

Congrats on another successful book in the series. I read quite a bit and also dabble in writing, and I have to say that this is one of, If not the best series I have read. Maybe being a former Marine (urah) has me biased but I can't wait for Fallen Honor. I even look forward to reading your newsletter and I don't read any others. Just wanted you to know how much we all appreciate your great writing. Semper Fi
