Very light entertainment that looks as if a larger book was split in 2 or 3 parts and publish separatedly to make a series . As a teenager probably I would have been more interested than now in this 17 year old hero , some nice pirats and actions in the Everglades and the Florida keys, but unhappily this was a long time ago . It may look better as a TV series with the wonderful Florida keys as the background. I live very close and the geography is correct.

Thank-you Mr. Gwinnett for another thrilling adventure story. I am big fan of yours and adventures of Jesse McDermott, I can't wait to read series 9, hope it is soon. Will be watching for and next adventure of Chastity.

The problem for me was the lack of depth of the characters and the relationship between each of them. Also, there was some really trite writing. "We embraced passionately." Really? I'm not sure what each character looked like or what they were thinking. Also, got confused about who was in the different situations. Sorry. Just not my cup of tea I guess. Will probably skip the other books by this writer.

First book by this author for me. Enjoyed it and plan to read more titles. I enjoy Caribbean Adventure Novels and have been through quite a few from several authors. This author does a very good job with the story line, details and not to over the edge suspense. Very comfortable to read.

This series is great... Fishing, diving, boating and tons of action. Great characters and wonderful storytelling. A number of belly laughs and a few tears. I will highly recommend this book and the series to all of my friends. If you could pick just one person as as friend, it would be Jesse.

This was another great book in the Jesse McDermitt series. I have lived these books from the beginning and I recommend them to people often. I'm excited to see what future books bring! Thanks for writing such great stories!

If you are a Jesse McDermitt fan, you are going to absolutely love this book. If you are not familiar with him yet, I advise you to start with Fallen Out and continue from there. Fallen Tide will still be here and you will have quit a ride. When you have a really good writer, good support and friends and a beta reader team to keep it authentic, well that is a really good combination. How often do you have a reader suggesting an ending that is a catalyst for the entire story, or a reader so knowledgeable in some of the details he gets his own part? Finally, the author credits Paul Deaver, a fellow author who is about to publish his first book, for the idea of the Predator suit. If you are a follower of Wayne Stinnett, you do not need me to tell you how good his books are. If you have not yet read him, I hope you start with Fallen Out and find out for yourself.

Jesse is a protector and always will be. His head tells him it is time to retire and relax, but as long as there are bullies and people needing protection, Jesse will be in the thick of it.
This has turned out to be what I consider the second most emotional book of the series. It ended with a supreme tribute to Jesse, but it also was a bittersweet ending that I refuse to spoil with further details.
The only problem I have with all of Wayne Stinnett's books is that I cannot put them down and finish them too quickly. Now I will be in agony until I can get my next fix.
This is definitely a MUST READ!!! Ooo Rah! Happy Birthday U. S. Marine Corps 11/10/1775.

Great Characters, settings, and action as the series continues. A realistic setting, sadistic terrorists and a top US Department of Defense research project drive all out efforts to stop the entire plot before the getaway boat enters Cuban waters. Not all is as it appears and plenty of twists and turns keep this from being just another in the series. Well worth the time.

Good refresher of the series I have come to enjoy and continued in the same vein with the characters previously introduced. A unique plot that was not really deep yet the way the story unfolds held my interest. Look forward to the next book in the series.
