Would recommend this to anyone who appreciates action by civilians and military trained. Enough twists to keep you reading and interested. Good to start with the first book in the series but not necessary.

I was stationed in Key West as a young Navy man but hadn't been back since 1956. It was fun to see that things hadn't changed in all those years. As I was only 17 years old at the time the only way to sneak in. Cocktail or two was to take a boat to Cuba. That was before Castro

Really enjoy there adventures. The characters are great and the relationships work. Seems like this series may be coming to an end, hope not, but Jesse seems to be missing some big clues and getting caught off-guard more often. Will definitely miss the adventures down Florida way.

Outstanding series--I've read the whole thing! Great character development, geographically and nautically informative, good action, and plot surprises. I wish there were about 15 more in this series!

I really like this series. The reason I only gave it four stars is that I'm tired of Jesse not being the warrior he is. It seems he is constantly running away and trouble finds him no matter what. It's time for him to accept who he is and embrace it. Another issue is that Jesse is never the one that ends the confrontation. Someone else does. I'd prefer if he was actually the hero.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this entire series. I have been fortunate to get all of the books on Kindle Unlimited. I have 2 more books to read and I'm saving them for a plane flight to California and back.

Started with the first book and couldn't stop till I finished them all. Like the way the author writes this series and it doesn't hurt that we travel Fl frequently and therefore are familiar with the locations. Can't wait for more

How does he do it. Stinnett writes of a life I would like to live in. Except for the danger around every corner, island living is truly a paradise. Great story, quick action reading. I recommend this book and the entire series.

The original series was just what I had been searching for at the time and this was a good sequel. I felt this one was a little more believable and turns in reasonable moves that were not as confusing as the others.

excellent series !!! Being a former USMC myself peaked my interest to read the first book, but the development of the main characters compelled me to read each book as it was released. Each one is a great read.

Run, don't walk, to get your copy of this book! It's another exciting trip with Jesse and the crew to help a young couple. It left me wanting more and looking forward to the next installment in the series!!

Wayne always nails it with his characters and locations. The Keys come to life with his descriptions. The development of the series is excellent and it's always fun to see Jesse's island hideaway develop.

Fast paced and thrilling --- Jesse McD leads us through one tense, life or death situation after another while outsmarting the bad guys with a little help from his many interesting friends. As always the descriptions of the Caribbean islands and Florida keys are masterpieces. I am looking forward to many more of Jesse's adventures, hopefully involving his unique new boat.

Book number seven is the best so far. The adventures are always exciting and Jessie, his friends and family are always the "good guys" in sometimes very unconventional ways. Can not wait for number eight!

Jesse and crew reside on a rough outcrop of an island in the back country of the Florida Keys. The island like Jesse is sparse and basic but very functional. This action packed novel travels up and down the Florida Keys, including the Everglades.
The one draw back to me and maybe those who have read some of the series, is the reintroduction of characters during each book. Unfortunately it is a neccesay evil that I understand its use. If you have recently read one of the books in the series these introductions become boring and I just skip through them. However for the new reader they are neccesary. Plus years from now when I reread one of the books, I will appreciate it then.
When the action picks up you will be asking yourself, " How are they going to get out of this?" Wayne does a great job of getting both the good guys and some times the bad guys out of a no win situation. Never the way I would have guessed.
I have read some of the negative reviews of his previous books. The main character, Jesse, is not a Saint; he is a former Marine. He does get lucky with the ladies at times. Which is what I would expect of a self assured single guy in good shape. He runs the gamut of emotions from old loves to new loves. He is tough when he needs to be, but the best of friends to those close to him. He embodies the old saying,
"A US Marine, No better friend, No worse enemy!"
Keep the books coming Wayne. I need some excitement in my dull life, if only vicariously.
Beta reader, Sheepdog.
