A stand alone read with a HEA. This story was short and sweet. I liked it and found it entertaining and leaves you with a smile on your face!! The characters were likable and you are rooting for them.

The heroine makes a blind date with an online guy. He didn't post a picture so she does not know what he looks like but he is a grad student and they seem to hit it off chatting. They agree to meet at a local coffee house, she will be carrying a book with a flower - Meg Ryan in You've Got mail!!

The hero is at the same coffee house working overtime to complete an assignment for one of his grad classes. The barista thinks he is the blind date so he sends our girl up to meet him. He is not the blind date but he is instantly attracted and he likes her so he doesn't want to tell her she made a mistake. They hit it off. Then the real date shows up. Embarrassed and somewhat put out the heroine leaves with the other guy. They did not hit it off.

She does not know the first guys name or where he lives so she had no way to track him down if she wanted to. Then she gets a vase of flowers at work asking her to meet him at a restaurant in town and there is no signature on the card. She knows it is him but she is unsure as to whether she should meet him or not.

This was a very short story but it was cute and I did like it. I would recommend it. It was a fun read.

I was not paid for this review. I am not a writer nor do I know one. I am not kin to this author. I am a reader and this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less.

Small town stories that are part of a series really strike a chord with me -- it's a good feeling to know that even when two characters have found their happily ever after, the reader doesn't need to let them go entirely. Love spotting couples from the previous stories set in Wishful each time I read a new one... You don't need to read the series in order either; each book is also a standalone. Two of the Wishful tales cross with Kait Nolan's other series, the Meet Cute stories.

The Meet Cutes are exactly what they say they are -- short bites of romance for when you need a pick me up, a little spark, the beginning and promise of something great.

Not kidding -- I was between books the other day and started Once Upon A Coffee on the train ride home from work. I was so absorbed in the story, wondering if all misunderstandings would be cleared (I so hoped Dillon could convince Avery he hadn't misled her on purpose -- well, not entirely...), that I didn't pay attention to anything around me. Luckily, I read the last line just as the train pulled into my station!

Of course, now I'm hoping to see some more of Dillon and Avery, wandering round Wishful, maybe at Speakeasy or the coffee shop or the diner...

Really enjoyed this book. It is an easy to read book that is well written with correct grammar (because it is hard to read poorly written books). The story line had me immersed from the first chapter.

Good short story. It had a good story line that kept you interested in the book and wondering how the story would come out in the end. Think the author could take this story and make it into a full length book.

3 stars

I'm actually giving this book 3 stars because I don't know what to make of it. If this book has a continuing journey of Avery and Dillon then this book was just OK. It didn't really spiked my interest to a point the blurb got me wanting to read this book the book itself did not.

To me this book was not finished and quite frankly it was bland.

Happy Sexy reading

This was well written and I was said to see it end. I liked the author (my first book by her). A blind date n Avery slips into a booth with Dillion she thinks is Ross and in an hour they make "the connection" until the real date shows up.....Oops can you blame the guy? He sends her flowers n asked her out on a date to make it up to her . It shows he was listening and he got his date.

I can't tell you how much fun this story was! I love all the Meet Cutes by Kait Nolan, and I thought another one was my favorite, but now I can't decide! If you like sweet romance, this is the story for you. You won't be disappointed.

Don't make the mistake thinking this is a short story. . .it's not. It's more like one chapter in the Wishful Series and ends abruptly. Ok I guess if you're into this series. I find it's just becoming too predictable and boring. At least it was free.

I want more! Avery and Dillon are so utterly adorable together – no matter what case of mistaken identity brought them together – that I just need to see more of the relationship between and what it becomes. This story is cute and fun, and we get to see the charm of Wishful in action. My only complaint is that it’s so short. I will happily read many hundreds of words more about this pair. Having read several of the later Wishful books, I know Avery and Dillon are mentioned, but I don’t think we’ve got their true love story yet.

No that wasn't a mistake. When a blind date leads you to talking to someone who isn't your blind date then I would call it a blind blind date. She is normally shy, beautiful and a great reader. He is handsome, overworked and into economics. When a mistake leads her to believe that he is her blind date. What will happen? Will they ever see each other again? A sweet plot that shows that Fate does step in from time to time.

I'll start with the negative first. I wish it was longer. I wanted to know more once I had reached the end, like what happens next?

With that being said, Author Kait Nolan did her job. She had me intrigued by the characters so much so, I needed to know more about them, and for that I say bravo.

Dillion and Avery were cute. I liked the way this author set up her scenes. If a book is consistant and keeps my attention, its worthy of my 4 or 5 stars. In this case, its 5 stars.

The story put me in mind of a blind date I once had. The date was awful, but the company was great.

I highly recommend this sweet contemporary. It was an enjoyable read, and it made me smile throughout the entire book.

I was sorry that it was such a short book. I became sympathetic for Dillon from the start. I could visualise it happening, mistaken identity can and do happen though not usually with such heart warming results.I enjoyed Kait's writing style, her personalitites were clearly etched on paper and in my heart. I read the 33 pages in one sitting and have put her name on my list of authors to read again in the future. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a light romantic read and characters that ring true.
