This book is a gold mine. I wish I had the paper version. Reading it was easy. However, now comes the hard part of implementing all that I have learned over this year. Maybe I will start with baby steps because my blog needs a lot of work and time is of essence. Still, every day I can use more resources. Great blog post require engaging your viewers. This pursuit is active, not passive.

This book is a quick read - fills you with the information you need to start writing about what people want and how to do it. Straight to the point with lists and small but descriptive details. While you may be able to find all this info online, for $0.99 it's nice to have it all in one place. Can't wait to start implementing some of this and see where it takes my blog.

I bought this for a Technical Writing class I offer, and the first chapter is worth the price of the book! This is full of helpful suggestions and ideas that can work not just for blogs, but for journals, or any creative writing class. The author is engaging and enthusiastic about his topic, so it is very easy to read!

Lots of valuable information which can easily be applied straight off the bat. The contents were well laid out, easy to follow and immediately got you thinking of what you were going to do next and when. I made pages and pages of notes so can confirm that Steve Scott is definitely the go-to author on topics involving the art of writing and other related areas.

I've bought most of Steve's books on Blog development and Internet marketing. His price is right and each book has always had at least one element that makes it worth the money. In this one, for me, it was his recommendations on keeping track of metrics.

Another good resource is his blog and other free material available there.

This is a short but very informative read

It is packed full of actionable ideas for blog posts you can write that will engage your followers.

On my first read-through I jotted down five or six ideas for posts that I am now at work on. Once they are written I'll be re-reading this book for further ideas, as I'm sure it has more inspiration to offer yet.

Money well invested here. Thank you Steve.

Worth the $.99 investment? You betcha. Valuable material, most of which can be found in blog posts for free but it's all organized in one spot. I even bought some of his other books because of how easy this one was to read. Great note-taking book.

I'll admit it. I bought this book because it was inexpensive and had an interesting title. What a pleasant surprise!

It didn't take long to read, but was dense with useful information, links and tips. No filler at all.

I am not fond of the author's "infomercial style" web presence, but this book impressed me enough that I'll probably buy everything else he's written. And I'll still have enough money left over for a Venti Americano at Starbucks while I read them.

I find all of the books that Stephen Scott writes to be very helpful, full of original, practical ideas and always right to the point. This is another example of his great guidance. Highly recommended

I'm a newer blogger and overall this was helpful. I've heard some of it before. I started with a blogspot platform and feel some of this implies towards WordPress when it has links.

I am pleased and can use some of the content so I gave it 3 stars. I also downloaded Steve's affiliate marketing guide so I am excited to start reading that. I will download more of his resources.

I loved the book, and it was well written and very organized. I love the way he writes well and gives great examples. Also, he is able to show you and refer you to what he is talking about. I refer this book to my friends that are starting out, and I have been a true fan of his work . This book is a great and what a deal for 99cents! I love It...

This is a booklet that delivers its promise, giving you actionable steps to improve your blogging by listing all sorts of ideas. There are different ideas to get your creative juices going, helping you to develop a balanced content strategy.
I thought I was done after the 19 ideas and the booklet continued with a bunch of other tips and tricks - including some links to other resources for you to read around the web (and you might discover another blog or two you haven't yet heard of).
At the price - the author over-delivers the value, just as he teaches you to do with your blog.
I look forward to other "Better Blog Booklets".

Very good explanation of writing compelling blog posts. A good read for anyone with a blog, or who is looking to get one started. The simple and straight forward style makes this easy to read and reference later for ideas.

If you have a blog or are planning to start one, this smart guide will save you time and help you get started. The author has done a great job at organizing existing high-quality content from several A-list bloggers to create a powerful, easy to read reference guide. Before you say, "I could have found this online", that may be true but it's nice to have all this information neatly packed into one guide.

This book is useful to anyone who feels overwhelmed by the prospect of starting and maintaining a blog long term, and is worried about running out of post ideas. He breaks down the process in a way that makes it seem manageable. I enjoyed this book, and I'm excited to try out some of his ideas.

This book was mostly for marketing purposes so it wasn't a lot of help to me. But I can imagine it would be helpful for people in the commercial world. The low rating is because it wasn't any use to me.

I think I read this just a little to early in the game for me. I am going to start blogging but just haven't shipped my art yet and this book I think is more for those who've been blogging for a bit. I do believe I will come back and re cap once I do get started though.

To state this upfront, the question "how to write great blog posts" is not being answered in this booklet, the author merely suggests ways "how to market your blog post" while marketing his own material to you, the reader.

"How to write great blog posts that engage the reader" is just one more book of the thousands which are written by the same scheme:

1) The reader can get a free gift. (Nothing in life is free)
2) The author points out that with this gift he is giving away "some of my most guarded secrets" (How can these secrets be guarded when by time you download this free gift, thousands of others have already received it. This is nothing but an attempt to get your email address, so you can be pestered with more sales pitches.)
3) The words "blogging is big business" and "ANYONE can do it" are being thrown around. That in itself is a ridiculous thought. Surely you remember at least half a dozen kids in your high school classes who could not write one great sounding sentence much less a blog.
4) The author tells that his own 570 blogs have generated 345,000+ visitors. 345,134 : 570 = 605 unique visitors to each blog. This number does not sound that impressive.

Eventually the author addresses his title question - very vaguely:

"All you have to do is to think what people want and then create a collection of information that fills the need."

Yeah, wouldn't we all?

Steve Scott`s booklet continues to list a ton of steps, pitches, suggestions for pitches, and other facts, but nothing you haven't heard before, or could find out from others experts. His writing is interrupted by links to his website, which strongly suggests that this might be one way how he gets "unique visitors" to his blog.

There is absolutely nothing revolutionary or new in this booklet. It is a massive attempt to get the reader to submit his email address at the author's (and presumably affiliates') websites, most likely to be used for sales pitches. I did not submit my own.

One of the things the author skims over is outsourcing.. I think he must have outsourced this book - unless he is a person who speaks English as a second language and has chosen "Steve Scott" as his pen-name. The grammar mistakes in this book are rampant and extremely distracting.
Beyond that, you can find this information, in much more detail, in many other books. If this is not your first book on the topick and you pay more than FREE, you will probably kick yourself after you have read through it.

I love Steve Scott's books because you get concise, helpful information with no filler. I find many books of this type very annoying because they tease you with just enough information to make you want more but finish before they deliver the "more" part of the story. Scott does not do that. He gives you the information you need to do the job. Another great little book.

Steve's ebook offers valuable information for both novice and experienced bloggers alike. He offers multiple ideas on how to set-up, write and deliver blogs that will constantly deliver quality content to your current readers while attracting news ones at the same time. He writes out his ideas in an easy to read, progressive format that takes you through each step in the process and explains, in layman's terms, how to deliver the goods. I recommend this book to anyone who is just starting their first blog or even up to the intermediate level experienced blogger.

This book stresses adding value in massive form but delivers absolutely none. It is full of platitudes and lists you can get for free in any content creation site worth two cents. Not worth the time and money, the author is clearly more worried about getting rich quick by blogging and selling ebooks, than by of being of help his readers.

Blogging isn't easy. You can't expect to instantly become successful with blogging. It takes a lot of patience and careful planning to succeed. There is plenty of information available on the internet about blogging, but sometimes the information maybe misleading. Therefore, I decide to find some books that have reliable information about the importance writing great blog posts and ways to promote your blog.

The first book I picked up is `How to Write Great Blog Posts that Engage Readers' by Steve Scott. One feature is for sure about this book is that it is loaded with content about blogging. I realized that some books only give you bits and pieces of information, but not whole content. However, this is not the case with Steve Scott's book.

He offers plenty of information on how you can set up your blog and what you can do to write the blog posts that will attract a lot of attention. The information is easy to read whether you are new to this or not. Everything is explained step-by-step so you won't ever miss a thing.

Another book that I found that really helped me is `Blogging: Innovative Ways To Promote Your Business (Business Collection)' by Stephen Williams. I am familiar with Stephen Williams' writing and his works are always easy to read. Despite how technology is evolving each and everyday and things are getting more complicate, but this is not the case with Stephen's book. He keeps it simple, even down to the marketing strategies that will turn your blog into a source of revenue!

I recommended both of these books and I hope that it will help give you a good start to your blogging journey!

While overall ebook was easy to read and packed with tons of information. For me there was no follow through on how to create this content. I'm blogger in field of millions and while I think my blog is different in reality it's just like the others. I got this book in hopes of was more of an how to in laymans terms.

This booklet is exactly the right length, and packs in a ton of great advice, in addition to lots of resource links. I read it in advance of a new writing project on my existing blog, but it would be perfect for new bloggers as well, since you don't get information overload. I'd definitely recommend it!

A concise set methods and resources to fully implement a blog niche! Yet it provides no integrated perspectives on using it as support tools to market a set of products. Not interested in being blogger solely; but as a secondary resource to focus on actual product.

I don't usually leave comments on the store unless I am absolutely amazed... Steve Scott's clear and concise writing style combined with the information that I needed turned me into a prolific note-taker. (If this e-book was available in print, I would have bought it and highlighted many, many points.) Based on my experience with this e-book, I plan on studying most of his other books. Good job, Steve!

I enjoyed the conciseness of this book. It's short, but the information is easy to understand and there isn't any fluff. Everything in it is helpful to someone starting a blog and not sure what kind of content to put on it. I found it inspirational as well... I came up with several ideas while reading it.

I just borrowed this Kindle book from the Kindle Lending Library. Within the first minute, I had retrieved my notebook and a pen to take notes. Now all this information will be 're-entered into Googe Docs. I have already started to make use of it.

If you read a lot and want useful information on every page, this blogging guide is definitely for you. Very fast read. Packed with good, informative, and full of put-to-good-use links.

Spend the time. You will be very glad you did.

Brief and to the point. This book outlines the steps to take to write a blog, from coming up with ideas for topics, using different styles and organizing your blogging schedule. It also teaches you how to analyze your web traffic to determine what content works best for your readers and provide s additional resources for creating a great blog. It really is an invaluable tool for anyone interested in entering the world of blogging.

Steve Scott not only tells you how to write great posts, but to write posts that will keep readers coming back for more. It was written from a marketing point of view, but most of the concepts can be applied to any type of blog you wish to write. And if you've got writer's block, this just might help you think of new things to say.

This is a VERY short book, good as far as it goes but filled with what is the unfortunate norm in such books these days... a call to go to the author website for more (and sign up). This probably only took a few hours to write... worth a quick scan.

Easy to read and super helpful. Very clear and easy to apply suggestions. Highly recommend. A++++++!!!

I hear people complain how they can find this information for free on the web- but isn't that true about almost any book? I think comments like those are ridiculous! If you want to spend hours seeking out this information and sifting out the good content from the bad, then go ahead but I value my time much more than that. For $1 (cheaper than a coffee!) Scott has assembled a totally value resource.
