A true and necessary book in this highly interesting and exciting series. It is a must read in order to understand the depth of love and loyalty of the members of this tight-knit group of men and women.

I was very pleased with the story line and the characters she created. It touched a subject that I could connect with from within my own family, and I admire Kenyon's courage in bringing such a wonderful love story to life.

First of all, I have no issues, with stories, that have gay characters. It has become common, in today's books, and brings a different depth to the story. However, I was a bit startled at the very visual and descriptive love scene, between these two guys. My first reaction was " gaaahhh.. she's gonna go there with this!".I pretty much skimmed over it, and got on with the story.
It is a short book, but it does a good job of cementing the relationships, between the "family" of fighters. As always, some of the loved ones are killed or wounded terribly, but this is expected from Ms Kenyon's books.
I am a huge fan of Sherrilyn Kenyon, and it is always hard to wait for the next book. The last couple of books have not been as good, just due to continuity or the ending rushing through.
I will be ready for whatever comes next.

I've read almost all of Ms. Kenyon's books, but the League Series holds me spellbound until the last page. I lose track of time. This one was no exception. Hope and love in hell is no easy task to make believable, but Ms. Kenyon makes it rock. Next Please!

Sherrilyn had pushed back Hauk's story back so far as almost an entire year, I wish I could have seen him more in it then I had.
I thought maybe, just maybe, I could hold off with my mouth shut until then, if I saw him a fair amount in this book. but besides a few very tiny séances in, that is all he had gotten.
As for Maris, it was a nice short story, and worth the small amount of cash to spend to read about him.

Although this is a 'short' book, it is perfect. There is no fluff or filler, just a complete and tight story. The fact that this story is about two men who fall in love despite themselves - so what, I needed Mari to find someone to complete him. The appearance of other favorite characters and the over all message of the book was worth staying up to get at midnight and read immediately. Darling should have still gone with Mari though... but you can't pick who you love.
I need more of their little brothers now!

I enjoyed most of kenyons works about the league but this one was terrible. It came across like she had no idea what to do or how to write about the relationship between two men and just made up some drivel from rehashing every stereotype about gay men and calling it a story. Maris is supposed to be the most able and deadly fighter of his race and he practically prances around calling everyone darling, baby and sweety! He has had this shockingly brutal life (as ALL of her characters have had!) and yet he is this mincing fairy who even refers to himself as queen and bitch. Seriously did she get her ideas from watching Queer as Folk? Not every gay man in the world wiggles around like a ladyboy. Ture was the love interest and he was BORING! Oh how terrible for him his parents were mean now he can't trust anyone (even though his dirtbag brother is basically holding him hostage with his demands for money etc. and he still lives with that relationship). He sees Maris for the first time and is halfway falling in love?....That's not love but something else! Neither character was appealing in anyway which was WRONG because Maris should have had an awesome story. He's fantastic...or should have been. Kenyon should read 'Lover at Last' by J.R.Ward. Still dreadfully abusive childhoods but much more interesting and believable RELATIONSHIP that just happens to be between two men.
P.S. I am a mother of three and if I can't stomach this nonsense......

I wanted Maris to have his own story/novel. Ture and Maris were wonderful as a couple however, the love scenes were lacking as if not comfortable with male on male sex. A water love scene would have been perfect. I enjoyed the interplay between the warriors and the care they have for one another. It could have been so much better if the characters were more developed like the other leading men in the other League novels. I feel Maris got cheated because he was gay. "Just Saying."

I LOVE the books by Ms. Kenyon but this could have been written better by a teenager and a young one at that.
I couldn't believe the language and stereotype used here. There is no way this story fits in with the other truly good stories in this series, it's a cheap throw away story.
I honestly went back multiple times triple checking the author just in case I was wrong.
Any other of her books five stars plus five, this was a one because they don't have no stars as an option.
This book was just so wrong and it has nothing to do with the gay story line but I honestly think someone ticked off one of the Goddess or Simi' s dragon relatives and put BBQ sauce on the author and ate her by mistake and let Simi try to write the story after finishing off two bottles of whiskey flavored BBQ sauce.
Sorry this could have been great but.. This series is dead, done and up in flames, will stick to her other wonderful stories.

I've read ALL of Kenyon's series, including all of the League books. When I read this one, I was just flabbergasted! I thought, "who wrote this?"
Maris' character was unrecognizable from the other books, the writing was poor, the story was bland with no conflict or challenge. I couldn't have been more disappointed.
I don't know what is going on, but something is definitely off! I stopped reading the Dark Hunter series, which I adored, about 3 or 4 books ago because they just abruptly veered off into lala land. I mean, if you want to start a new series, then go for it! But don't just halt the storyline of a hugely popular series and take it off on a wild tangent and say it's still the same series. I was a huge Kenyon fan, now , not so much.

After the fan backlash of Born of Silence and the lamest reasonings imaginable to make a beloved gay character straight I suppose Sherrilyn Kenyon felt she owed it to her fans to give us a gay love story. And to be honest she did. For some reason this book is listed as number six, but at less than 200 pages and it already being revealed in Born of Silence that Maris gets his HEA with Ture this book should really be listed as 5.5.
I don't mind that this is really a novella because Maris was a minor character and Ture was a random gay bestie of Zarya so this wasn't a story I was dying to read. It clarifies how Maris and Ture went from being "rescuer and rescued" to "super in love boyfriends". Because in Born of Silence their love seemed based on the fact that they are the only two actually gay characters, and since there is no one else for them to hook up with they might as well be with each other. This book doesn't alternate from that, but at least we can see how they fell in love. Be prepared because once again this book is filled with torture porn. This series really should change its name from "The League" to "Oh Yeah, You thought You Were Tortured and Betrayed By Loved Ones? Well Wait Till You Hear My Story". I mean dang, can we be introduced to just once character who hasn't been screwed over. Just one character with a family who loves them and is still alive. A character who hasn't been horribly betrayed and currently in fear of being murdered by that betrayer. Seriously with the amount of people who are broken or with insane vendetta's its a wonder anything in this universe gets done. How does a severely emotionally crippled person grocery shop when there is bounty on their head?
The story starts out seeming like its going to be filled with ridiculous gay stereotypes. It picks up when Zarya and by default Ture are rescued from a League Prison. Ture comments more than once about Maris and how he is not "acting gay". Which is so ludicrous. The man is a warrior in rescue mode, what the hell did Ture expect him to be doing fixing everyone's hair and make up while singing show tunes? Also I was really sick of reading about how in love Maris is with Darling. News flash Gay people have friends of the same gender who they are not in love with, and Gay people are as capable of not falling in love with straight people as straight people are of not falling in love with Gay people.
Stereotypes were put aside, and we did get to see two people fall in love. Also there was added motivation to keep the series going, the new conflict could fuel more than a few books. We also learned more about the Phrixians, and it was cool to learn they are not really human. And maybe we will get another gay storyline that is an actual full book. Because Maris' brother Kyr is way to bloodthirsty if you ask me, something tells me that male coming out of the closet would mellow him right on out...

Maris Sulle has spent most his life devoted to the one man he loves but can never have, the happily married Darling Cruel the only person who has ever loved him for exactly who he was. But, when on a mission he rescues the jaded Ture and feels a connection he can't seem to deny. But they both must overcome their past and insecurities especially when danger seems to be following them.
I feel like I have been waiting for this book forever; it is the book in the The League series that I have been anticipating the most, I just wanted Maris to have his HEA after all the horrible events he has endured. This book overlaps with Born of Silence at the point where Darling, Maris and the gang rescue Zarya from the League. But instead of seeing it from Darling and Zarya's POV we see Ture and Maris instead and the connection between them is almost instant.
I don't normally read M/M books, for some reason they have never appealed to me, but Cloak & Silence, for me, was less about being an M/M book and more about me wanting two characters I love to have a happy ending. Like with all Sherrilyn Kenyon books though, the road to true love is paved with torture, persecution and betrayal, and although some of the melodrama does have my eyes rolling, mostly my eyes were glued to my kindle screen desperate to see what would happen next.
I really enjoyed this book, it was worth the wait, the romance essentially was rather sweet as the both look past each others scars, internal and external, and fall in love, with some hot `n steamy scenes to keep us drooling. The League is definitely one of my favourite series, full of romance, action and heartbreak and I can't wait to read more.

I will admit I was very apprehensive about reading this book. I was really not interested in a gay love story. I can now put this book as one of the books that have truly changed my life. I know that seems very deep and a big step but I loved this love story. The strength of these 2 characters and the hate and abuse that they went through makes you wake up to the reality if what gay couples must endure. I truly appreciated the fight in these characters and the love between them. I am far from a homophobe but this took it up a notch in terms of the respect I have for the gay community.
If you are nervous about the sexual scenes, it honestly was not too bad. Sherrilyn does a good job of making it very reader friendly. I am so glad I picked this up at my local library. It falls right in line with the rest of the series. I would suggest reading the entire series before diving into this novella.

Review: Cloak & Silence (The League Series) by Sherrilyn Kenyon
Rating: 4 out of 5
Wow, real life has been eating up my time for quite a while now so haven't done any reviews in a LONG time! Am I still allowed here? :-) Today, I found myself sitting in a chair at the hair salon with what I knew would be at least 2 hours of 'free' time, and found myself loving that I have a smart phone with an e-book reader app. So I virtually cracked open Kenyon's latest release and rediscovered that sublime moment of happiness that comes with getting immersed in a book instantly. Because, yeah, I was hooked from page one! And ended up with yet another late night because I didn't want to stop until the end of the story! (And the sudden urge to write a review...)
Cloak & Silence (hereafter referred to as C&S) begins near the end of the story told in Born of Silence, but there is so little 'repeat' that the reader will hardly notice it. C&S is the story of Ture, best friend of Zarya, and Maris, best friend of Darling (Zarya and Darling are the stars of Born of Silence for those that don't follow The League series). Yes, that's right, this is a m/m relationship story. I know some people won't read a story that features m/m relationships, but if you don't read this one, you are missing a really sweet story and a big turning point event in the overall League series. Personally, m/m stories have never appealed to me and I don't read them unless they are part of a larger series that I like -- The League just happens to be my top favourite series so no way could I miss this one!
Back to the story! C&S opens when Tulle and Maris first meet in a fiery battle -- Tulle was held prisoner along with Zarya and Maris was there along with Darling and the Sentella to rescue them. The story continues as Tulle is taken in by Darling and Zarya to recover and undergo physical therapy at their palace home, where Maris also lives as a beloved guest. Both Tulle and Maris had been 'prepped' by the matchmaking Zarya who felt the two would be good for each other. Both men have a lot of scars (physical and emotional) to overcome so at first there is a lot of nervousness around each other as well as the awkwardness of that matchmaking talk...Their attraction to each other is immediate but both men chose not to act on those feelings at first -- both need to learn to trust and become willing to risk their hearts yet again. Tulle finally chooses to take the risk, and discovers a very interesting secret that in no way diminishes his attraction to Maris. The bond between the two begins to build. Maris fears that, like all of his past lovers, Tulle will leave when he realizes that the bonds of love and friendship between Maris and Darling is so strong that Maris will always drop everything when Darling needs him. Tulle has the reciprocal fear that Maris will leave when he realizes that the restaurant Tulle owns, and where he is top chef, is an equal all-consuming passion. I don't like to give spoilers, so will just say that both men come to terms with what is important in each other's lives.
Events of Maris' past and events seen in the previous League novels come into play, seriously affecting Tulle and Maris' lives. As Maris realizes how much Tulle means to him, he also realizes that this means Tulle is in danger because enemies will be able to use him to get to Maris. Needless to say, there is some fighting, guns blazing, dagger play, betrayal, blood gets spilled, and there is tragedy. All-in-all, a typical League story, where, in the end, everyone realizes that family isn't about shared genes, love comes in many forms, and to love someone is to accept that person despite differences, fears, and secrets revealed. And, most of all, that for a chance to find true love, it's always worth taking a risk.
Do I recommend this story? Oh yes! Not just because I love The League series so much, but because Tulle and Maris are both sweet, strong men worthy of the attention. Maris had intrigued me in the previous stories and I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know him more and now I like him better than ever! Tulle had just been a so-so character to me before, but I loved seeing that he is as strong and dedicated as Maris -- both men quite deserving of each other. I love that as their relationship develops, both men are equals in every way, each fully respectful of the other despite differences in race, social status, and experience. I think it's rather charming to see the warrior and the chef pair up and how their personalities and abilities compliment each other. Maybe it's the food!
I know, why did I give this story only a 4 out of 5 rating then, right? Well, primarily because it's too short! Coming in under 200 pages, this is really more of a long novella instead of a novel. I usually don't care to read anything that short, but couldn't resist a League story. As with most stories of a shorter length, some parts feel rushed. While I think the overall character development is well-done, part of that may be because I already knew a little about Tulle and Maris from reading Born of Silence. And there isn't much development of other characters, although fortunately most of those are already known, too. I also gave it this rating because while there is one key development of the overall story told throughout the series, it's really only just that one, so not a lot of series progression. While I loved the story, I also don't think this was Kenyon's best writing as it feels like it could have been tweaked here and there to make it better. Finally, I was reading this on an e-reader app, and whoever did the digital editing needs to find another job (I'll take it!) as I came across several errors that were more likely due to story production than to Kenyon's actual writing -- all minor at least.
Bottomline: read this story because it is a sweet story about two people finding love and happiness, overcoming differences, past experiences, and death threats to be together. It leaves you with one of those blissful feel-good moments -- until you realize that you have to wait for the next novel in the series to be released!

Let's start by clarifying that Cloak & Silence is not a full-length novel, but it's way longer than a novella. On terms of content, however, it resembles a short story. There's not much of a plot here, rather it is focusing on the relationship between the two main characters and their past. It's not a must-have piece of the series, more like extra content, however, no one who met Maris before will be able to resist this book. But seriously, it's a League book after all, so of course it is a must-read for every fan!
The biggest difference from the other books - in case you didn't know this already (you probably lived under a rock!) - is that this is a love story between two men. I'll be honest, when I first heard about this, I didn't like it at all! Don't get me wrong, I don't have any problem with same gender relationships, I just don't like to read/hear about the details. I don't ship Destiel or any sort of that stuff and I certainly didn't want Darling to end up with Maris. I like Zarya. And this still hasn't changed, but I absolutely adore Maris. From the first time I met him in the previous novels, he was one of my favorite characters, and I wouldn't have cared if he'd got down and dirty with an uber-alien or whatever. Anyway, Ture and Maris are so cute together, and they both suffer so much (duh! I mean we're talking about a Kenyon book...) even I got to love them and enjoyed their story.
I am glad, though, that there wasn't too many or too graphic erotic scenes, but the lack of Bow-Chicka-Bow-Wow in the water is a definite sin! There's one other thing, besides the love story that is a trade-mark for the League series. The sarcastic, stomach-hurting humor. There is no League book without humor.
I give it "only" 4.5 stars, because despite how good it was, it's still just a short story and that is exactly what we got. Nothing special other than it's loveable. And sometimes there's repetition of certain "information" and phrases, which throws me off a little in general. So all in all, I'm happy Sherri was brave enough to write this and I got to read it. I definitely recommend reading C&S.

The biggest difference from the other books - in case you didn't know this already (you probably lived under a rock!) - is that this is a love story between two men. By nature I am not a huge fan of novellas, they expect me to accept too much too fast. Cloak and Silence was that kind of novella but it was written by the amazing Sherrilyn Kenyon and therefore had the power of her gift behind it.
Cloak and Silence was a book about two people who had been betrayed. Who had been condemned by their families and yet somehow managed to rise above it all and become spectacular human beings. Willing to put it all on the line for those they loved over and over again. Even to die for them. And yet both had been battered by love so harshly, were afraid to trust in being "in" love.
A powerful story.. one that just happened to be about two men.. If you are a fan of the league, you have watched the character of Maris develop and couldn't help but fall in love with him. To respect him and yes to want him to have his HEA. It's hard not to when he is so brilliantly written.
Now Ture is a rather new character but it's hard not to fall for him almost immediately. He too, knows how to be a loyal friend and manages to care for his obnoxious family. And Ture was the one who gave his trust first.. A strong man with enough hope in his heart to give love a chance..
Of course this is a league book, you know there has to be more to it than that.. there is a betrayal so deep that even Kenyon readers had to gasp.. and yet when Sherri writes about betrayal we grieve for the characters but cheer as well. Because every time they are destroyed, they discover that there is always a true friend there to pick them up..
I enjoyed this book and appreciated my League fix.. although I am waiting not so patiently for the next installment!!

Kenyon is usually a favorate author of mine but this book blindsided me. I did not know she did homosexuality in her books, at least not so blatently. Not really something I am interested in reading so I do not think I will read this series at all.

I have just finished my re-read of the League series, and I'm still in love with every word and every character.
I love, love, love that Maris and Ture got their own book. Maris is a huge part of the League series, and it's only right that he gets the spotlight for a while. This one is a tender, fierce, loving, adventurous read, that is quite enjoyable!
One of my favorite things is that there is adventure and more than just the love story in each and every book. I feel like I'm reading a whole experience, not just a small slice of someones life with a little spice thrown in. These are the kind of books I keep buying and going back to.

Maris, what a sweetheart. This poor man has been beaten, battered, bullied and unloved most of his life except for one person Darling. It has been painful to watch his love for Darling over the last books. While Darling loves him it is not a romantic love, and yet it is unbreakable. Maris has told his lovers that he will never love anyone more than his precious friend and with that they leave him. So, he stands to the side watching his friend have the love he will never get and willing to live that way forever.
omg it has been heartbreaking to watch him suffer.
His suffering might come to an end with one rescue. He rescues someone who will challenge everything he believes in about his worth, and his ability to love. This new guy is absolutely wonderful. He's a chef, an honest man, a generous friend and has known his own sorrows for too long. Together, these two struggle to go beyond the scars.
I love these characters in this series, the good guys, not the bad guys. These are good solid people, who offer themselves up for the good of others. Maris and Ture are two of the best. I loved reading this story it left me smiling and there is nothing wrong with that.

Phrixian, Maris Sulle hasn't had the easiest of lives. Tormented by his own family for being different as well as school mates, that is until he meets Darling Cruel his best friend. From that day on he is in love with Darling. No one has held any interest to him but Darling (even though Darling is straight) that is until he saves and meets Ture. An event that changes both of them.
This is only the second M/M I have read, but its one of my favorites. Maris Sulle is a bad ass warrior, one that has been through hell and back but still he is so vibrant that you can't help but love him. Cloak & Silence is a fast read, but absolutely enjoyable. Maris and Ture's story is filled with action, heartbreak and warmth. I think fans will love them. This is a must read, especially if you have been reading The League.

Another great book......I love these books.
Even though the story is shorter than the others in this series I still felt I got to know the characters well enough.
The story is about finding love no matter who you are and I happen to be a believer!!
Onto the next in the series.

I have never written a review before but this is the third time I have been tricked. I bought this book because i have read the rest of the series and love this author's romances. But, beware! This is about a gay romance. I am sorry but that is not the kind of romance I like to read. This should be in a separate category. I am so angry that I trusted this author and was decieved. I really want my money back.

A great Author!!! I have read every book written by Sherrilyn Kenyon and every book she has written is five star and better. I love that she wrote Maris's story and him and Ture are great together. I also love the M/M genres and I am so glad that she actually went there. Love is not only male/female, it goes beyond gender and a truly great Author will embrace there gift and follow their characters wants and desires. I wish that it was a full novel like all her others but it was a great start for her in this area. Also, its ok to be a little more graphic in the bedroom between these loving men and lube would be good as well. Ture is only human after all. A great Author, like S.Kenyon, can make m/m sex incredibly HOT!!

Our Review, by LITERAL ADDICTION's Pack Alpha - Michelle L. Olson:
Cloak & Silence was an incredible follow-up to Born of Silence and well worth the wait in its release in my honest opinion.
Action packed, tender, a pivotal turning point for several of our key players in the League-verse and just a great story, Cloak & Silence was another Kenyon home run and a must read for all League fans!
It should be noted that this novella can't be fully enjoyed if you haven't read the previous installments of the LEAGUE series, especially Born of Silence, book #5, as it picks up immediately following the pivotal events at the end of BoS and then continues forward.
It was incredible to get the full story of Maris' tragic past and be able to finally understand him even better. Getting this back-story, as well as some snippets into the back-story of some of our other leading characters, made the storyline more emotionally gripping, Maris' HEA an even greater reward, and was a great segue to future installments of the series.
I am chomping at the bit for Hauk's book, Born Of Fury,in November now that I finally got re-immersed in the LEAGUE!

I love Sherrilyn Kenyon and have been reading her since Dream Lover. I buy all her books even though I know I may be disappointed. I love the way she writes. I'm a little over all the cruelty. Lets go to something different. Hauk, Kyr, Sin and most of the others are overly tortured, ostracized ,abused etc..etc . PLEASE change your format homegirl. I'M GETTING BURNT OUT.

I love Sherrilyn Kenyon's books, and love the Leaugue series in particular. I am not much of a reader of m/m love stories, but liked these two characters enough to read the book. I didn't even finish the book. I frankly didn't care enough about the story and the characters once I got into the story to finish it. Another review said it teenager wrote this story, and that sounds about right to me. Gave it two stars because it has glimpses of other characters I like, but this story by itself, sorry really really bad.

I've read the previous League series books and was excited about this one, until chapter 2. While I probably wouldn't mind reading a book where the 2 main characters are gay, it would be a lot easier to tolerate if the characters were believable. Maris is supposed to be this fierce warrior who calls people "sweetie" and "waves his hands in the air in a feminine way "??? Seriously? Why do gay characters have to be effeminate? Can I get my money back?
This book should come w a disclaimer.

I have read the entire League series, Dark Hunter series, & Brotherhood of the Sword books. Was glad to finally get to read Maris' sorry & for him to get his happy ending. If you haven't read any of her other books, you should do so. Ms. Kenyon is one of my favorite author's & I have not been disappointed in any of her work yet.

The story seemed rushed to me, It seemed like the author was only interested in talking about the love scenes between the two main characters and the story itself suffered because of it. I think it needed to be longer and there needed to be more details in the lives of Maris and Ture. Maris is one of my favorite characters in the League world and he deserved more than a short novella type story. So for me, It was just okay and definately not one of my favorite League books. I wasn't sure how Sherrilyn Kenyon was going to write Maris and Ture's story. I was pleasantly surprised. It was written just like her other books but with a twist. I really enjoyed the characters and they made a good match. Can't wait for the next League book!

The story is incredible!! I didn't think it was going to be made into a paper book though, given its....conterversial story line.
But seriously, it's probably her best yet...and that's saying something since this is not the first same sex lovers book that I've read.

Acheron was a difficult story line but the characters built so beautifully it had a way of building compassion within the reader.
This book missed the mark for me somewhere. Difficult story line, disjointed, just seemed forced and unfinished.
Had the bones to be something better.

This was a very sweet story. The characters were awesome and the storyline was great. I have loved Maris from the first time he was mentioned. Very intelligent, funny, loyal, and now, we finally see more of just how dangerous and capable he really is. There are more than a few parts that will have your eyes leaking a bit. I won't spoil anything. The match of Maris and Ture is perfect, as is how Darling ties in to the dynamic. Don't skip this.

This book is not quite the same as all her others but I love it even more for that fact. While it still has all the fast action and hot romance you expect and the heroes are just as epic it covers so much more than her usual fare. I love the League and wish they could be rereleased as hard covered signed editions I'd rebuy them all.

Just when you think she has done it all, Sherrilyn Kenyon knocks it out of the park with this one!!! Not usually one for M/M romances but this was carefully done without being in your face about it. I found myself cheering for them as their relationship worked through it's ups and downs. Another hit!!!

I love the books by Sherrlynn Kenyon, but why does''t the beautiful love and romance stories have to turn gay. Books are to take you away from everyday stress. Well this just bought me back into it. I have gay friends but being friends doesn't mean I like gay love stories. If you want to write a gay series than write a gay series don't put it into a book of people straight people who have finally found someone who loves them. Kenyon had a rough childhood by the way she writes her books. The torture she writes in this and others you really have to have a strong stomach I do but I agree with one reader can't you have a person who had a good family just got messed up by a bad relationship or teased in school or didn't know that they were a were creature until the turned 18 or something but the constant beatings and other things I don't want to mention is so so much.
I didn't finish the book because it was not the romance that I enjoyed with the meeting of two different and I mean different (straight) people that struggle but are there for each other at the end.
(To Kenyon) NOTE: Pls. don't write another book in any of your series like this. Write a gay series if you want and put it on the warning label so you have the right ones reading it.

I have been a Sherrilyn Kenyon fan for years. And I have been waiting on this book for a while and i must say that I am extremely disappointed. I had no idea that this was a guy on guy love story. As a female I love to read romance book about a man that I could be attracted to. This was not good for my imagination so I do not recommend this book to anybody.

Amazing novella that is wonderful to read. It gives you more of the League characters that you've grown to love and gives you a little insight to a very private pair in the series. I highly recommend, and applaud Sherrilyn's effort to expand her books and audiences. *Warning* This does follow the gay relationship between Ture & Maris.
Please RateCloak & Silence (The League)
It is a short book, but it does a good job of cementing the relationships, between the "family" of fighters. As always, some of the loved ones are killed or wounded terribly, but this is expected from Ms Kenyon's books.
I am a huge fan of Sherrilyn Kenyon, and it is always hard to wait for the next book. The last couple of books have not been as good, just due to continuity or the ending rushing through.
I will be ready for whatever comes next.
