Justice Ascending is the latest in hard-hitting, gritty, and edge of my seat Scorpius Syndrome's dystopian romance series that just keeps on delivering. Each installment is a fast favorite, but in this case I was glad to finally get Tace and Sami's story as it has been building momentum since book one.

This is a series that really needs to be read in order. I've said it before, but don't skip the prequel novella for this one as its the foundation block for the whole thing.

Tace struggles with Scorpius and Sami is keeping a tremendous secret meanwhile the Mercs and the President's elite are prowling around Vanguard from without while the Pure cause uneasiness from within.

Tace is starting to develop odd symptoms to Scorpius that no one else has even as he tries to keep his mind on their mission though the sassy Sami is becoming more than a distraction. He wants her, but doesn't think it would be a good idea since he might succumb to the bacteria and go completely dark. Besides, he can tell when someone's lying and Sami is hiding something big.

Sami knows if her secret is ever exposed then she will lose so much. Vanguard is her home and the people here are her family. She wants to deny the attraction, but Tace is something more than family. Then he collapses and she knows she has run out of time and to say Tace she must share what she knows even if the fall-out of her reveal is huge.

Alright, this series keeps things wound tight and the tension is thick. It's a fast paced action plot with some intrigue tossed in beside spicy passion. I enjoyed the excitement and almost non-stop action, but the romance and other relationships between the nuclear cast of characters is also well developed. Tace and Sami are already friends and they are already attracted, but circumstances are what get in their way. They also have to figure out the dynamics of a working partnership as well.

The race to find the cure stays close to home for this one and seems like there aren't going to be any big advancements in the series arc, but then that last quarter of the book kicked in and there were quite a few disturbing details getting colored in.

Going on in the background are the continuing stories of Jax and Lynne and Raze and Vinnie. The growing situation between Grey and Raze's sister and that new couple revealed at the end along with the new reveals in the series plot will keep me as vested as ever in this series.

All in all, this is a dystopian romance adventure series that I have devoured each time a new one releases and I can whole-heartedly recommend it to fans of gritty action style romantic suspense set in a post-apocalyptic world.

Justice Ascending is probably my favorite of the series so far. Aside from me finding the name Tace really annoying, I really did enjoy this one both characters have been established in the past two book, we know them well, or at least we think we do, Sami with her secrets and Tace with his mind slowly going psycho, or so he thinks, after being infected with the Scorpius Syndrome. Tace and Sami have been attracted to each other since before Tace got infected, it just taken Tace getting infected and slowly becoming more dominant rather than the laid back cowboy for him to act on his attraction. Sami is just all around badass, she's one of the elite soldiers of Vanguard and one of Jax's top lieutenants, (Thankfully Jax wasn't much of an jackhole in this book). But Sami's secret to one she is ready to take to the grave, until...

Since getting Raze's sister back from the Mercenaries they have had an uneasy truce. Greyson, the leader of the Mercenaries, has greenhouses and he needs Maureen, Raze's sister, to help rebuild them. Greyson and Jax need to come to some common ground so they can work together. Meanwhile Tace and Sammi get sent up to Merc territory to help with the wounded and scope out what supplies they have. Jax is ready to raid the Merc territory when they get back but the secret Tace has been keeping has got the better of him and the only way to save him is if Sami reveals her deep dark secret. The only way to save him is if Jax and Greyson join forces against the President. They do hesitantly agree however that they need some kind of understanding they both want to find the legendary Bunker.

Overall, the book was very exciting and emotional and hot! OMG Tace and Sami together it's wow. Tace knows, he is aware, that Sami can take care of herself but he has this protective streak that's telling him she shouldn't have to, that it is his job to protect her. I am guessing it has something to do with the Scorpius Syndrome that makes the men who have been affected by it more possessive. I mean look at what it did to the stupid President and his obsession over both Lynne and Vinnie. I do recommend that this series be read in order, it can be a stand-alone but to really understand it they need to be read in order.

Since the first book in the Scorpius Syndrome series I’ve been waiting for Tace and Sami’s books. I wasn’t always 100% sure they’d end up together, although I hoped so. I loved their banter and the way they played off of each other. The sexual tension between them was so freaking thick, I really needed them to end up together. But really, I just wanted to learn more about both of them. I knew Sami was hiding something and I needed to know what it was. And with Tace I needed to see how Scorpius was really affecting him and what it was like going dark.

These two are smoking hot together. Who knew grappling could be so sexy? Well it is when these two do it and they aren’t pulling any punches. Although Tace is going darker, he hasn’t lost all of the charm that he was known for prior to being infected with Scorpius. Sami’s secret is pretty crazy cool and a great twist for the story. I really enjoy her and I like this bit of depth that was added even more.

This book was so freaking difficult to put down. I find this world so fascinating and I’ve become attached to many of the characters. I need to know how things are going for them, whether or not they’re able to find a cure, allies, another place to live that will be more sustainable. There is so much more than just the characters and their love story in these books. I am so enthralled and I’m hoping that things will progress a bit faster in the coming books. I need more development and now that one of the things they were looking for has been found, I’m hoping that we’ll get that development.

Gah, I just want to gush about everything, but I can’t spoil anything in this book. This is a must read series for me and I am dying for the next one. I can’t wait to see what happens next….and who will get paired up next.

Post-apocalyptic and dystopian series always fascinating me. When you mix in alpha males, brilliant women, and suspense I begin to drool. The overall ARC to the Scorpius Syndrome series has held my attention from the beginning. While a virus that killed most of the population and changed the behavior of others is nothing new, Zanetti has added some fresh twists and made it her own. I liken it to Mira Grant’s Newsflesh or Parasite world. Just mix in delicious romances. Each book deals with one member of Vanguard’s compound and their romance. There are several threads in the overall ARC from a zealot preacher to a frantic search for a secret government facility that may hold the cure to the Scorpius virus. While these could be read as standalone, I strongly recommend reading them in order. Not sure if this is for you? Begin with the novella, Scorpius Rising.

Sami Steel has been a favorite character of mine since the beginning. As the only female soldier, she is demanding of herself. She is tough as nails with an unspoken grace. Steel has been hiding secrets about her past and it was cool discovering who she really was pre-Scorpius. Tace Justice, a former soldier, and Texan has recently survived infection from the virus. With it comes changes both in personality and behavior some of which he hides from the group. He has always been attracted to his partner and I delighted to see him make a move. I loved their partnership, friendship, and the romantic development. It felt genuine as Zanetti allowed me to connect and experience a range of emotions from laughter to tears.

The story had us visiting the Mercs compound, dealing with issues within the Vanguard compound. In addition, we had exciting discoveries that will have an impact on the overall arc going forward. Zanetti is a powerful storyteller and she threaded these tales together creating a story the ebbed and flowed between nail-biting battle scenes, humor and romance. Dealings with the Mercs proved interesting as the beginning of relationships developed. We were teased with them just enough to have us eager for more.

Man this series just gets better and better. Loved it. Passionate. Powerful. Dark. Emotional. Action filled suspense. It has everything. Sami is a Vanguard lieutenant with secrets. She knows where the Bunker is; the Bunker they have been searching for ever since Lynn came to Vanguard territory. Tace is the Texas charmer turned dark soldier ever since he was infected with Scorpius. Both have been attracted to each other from the moment they met, though both have hidden it well. Sami doesn't want to risk her secrets being revealed and is afraid that if she gets involved with Tace, it will make the inevitable truth hurt more. Tace hides his feelings because he has no feelings, not since the infection. He is Dark, cold, and violent. Where before he would have hesitated to kill someone, now he doesn't flinch from the act. Where before he knew right from wrong and where that line lay, now he doesn't. He knows it exists but doesn't know where the line lies anymore and fears he doesn't care to try. He fears he would hurt her. But when they are sent into Merc territory on a goodwill mission, they both stop fighting their attraction for just one promised night. Once back home, they try to go on as if nothing happened, though everyone suspects they are either together or will get together soon. There are lots of battles, post-apocalyptic LA scenes described vividly, explosions, gun battles, new partners and old enemies, and the Bunker is finally revealed. The only question that lies unanswered is whether the cure for Scorpius lies within its files. It was so good. Loved it.

I loved catching up with Jax, Vinnie, Raze, Lynne and rest of the gang. Set in a post apocalyptic world where most of the population has been wiped out by the Scorpius bacterium, Justice Ascending is raw, gritty, adrenaline-filled and totally captivating. I am seriously hooked on this series! I loved every minute of Justice Ascending: it has it all - incredible world building, phenomenal writing, deep realistic characters, smoking hot romance, suspense, action, and a heart-stopping ending.

This book focuses on Tace and Sami, who have both been fast favourites of mine in this series, and boy did it deliver. Tace, a charming Texan cowboy, is hesitant to get involved with Sami as he is suffering one of the side-effects of surviving the Scorpius bacterium: his moral compass has vanished and his dark side is revealing itself. (I am seriously considering listening to the audio book just so that I can hear to his Texan drawl.)

Sami is a tough Vanguard soldier who is hiding a dark past which could jeopardise her place within Vanguard. Tace is tasked with working with Sami in order to ferret out her secrets, but he has difficulties fighting his attraction to her and remaining focused on his mission. What is she hiding and can he really trust her?

Besides the romance, the overall storyline deepens and we get to see more of the Mercs, including Damon and Greyson. Jax, the Vanguard leader, has to decide if he can trust the Mercs enough to work them so that he can access vital medical supplies and fight their mutual enemy, the president and his Elite Force.

This is my favourite book in the series so far, and I can’t wait for the next instalment in this superb series! This book can be read as a standalone, but I would highly recommend reading the previous books to gain maximum enjoyment and understanding of the characters and their world.

The reason I am not giving this book a full 4 is because honestly I felt the author relied on the sexual side of her story too much and didn't give us more meat. Justice Ascending isn't a stand alone like the book 2 it instead dives right in from where the last book ended.
Rebecca Zanetti created an amazing post apocalyptic where men and women know it is only a matter of time because they contact the Scorpius and either turn into a crazy killer/zombie/rippers . I enjoyed how enemies redraw lines constantly in hopes they can one day work together.
The romance is darker because of the Scorpius and everyone seems to lust after each other. I don't see or even understand how the Scorpius is suppose to work and I guess that is true with all virus they work different in all persons but the book feels like the author doesn't os hasn't potted what the the virus is either.
Readers will be happy to get to know more about Sami and her background but Tace seems to be someone completely different from time to time. I understand that is the virus but for reader it didn't make any since and was distracting from the story.
The subplots are never finished, the ending is just thrown at the readers and the HEA is just that. It fells like the second move in a trilogy something to keep thing moving slowly so that the next story can really shine.
Way to many unanswered questions and to many dangling story lines for me to really enjoy this story.

Rebecca Zanetti can write a sex scene no doubt about it and her actions scenes flowed well and kept me reading but everything else seemed to fall apart.

Thank you Netgalley for the advance Copy.
I will plan on reading the next in the series but if subplots are not closed it might be my last.

I received this book via Netgalley to give an honest review.

I have fallen in love with this series. So when I saw this book was available to request I knew I had to see if I would get accept.
OMG we are now in the p.o.v of Tace our handsome Texan with his Texas and Sami the bad-a-- female solider.
We see how Tace fights the darkness within him and you have to wonder will he even make it?
He has always liked Sami so I was excited to see if that was going to ever head somewhere.
Even though I like Sami and Tace as a couple their approach of lusting for each other didn't sit too well with me. The fact they would fight each other and then have hot sex had me shaking my head a bit. Hence the only reason I gave this book a four and not a five. Though I could understand the author's thought process behind it.
We also get to finally see who Sami truly is. Her past will come into play and it will play a big part in finding the bunker that Vanguard is looking for.
As we read in the previous book we know that Vanguard was fighting the president who has scorpius as well, so we shouldn't be too surprised if he plays a role in this one as well right?

Vanguard will team up with their enemy when they get word where the bunker is but who will survive, what will be found, will they get answer, and will our poor Jax finally find his brother who he has been searching for?

So much intensity, action, love and lust is happening within these pages. This is one series that I highly recommend but you need to read from the beginning.

Whilst Justice Ascending had its enjoyable moments, I have to be honest: three books into the Scorpious Syndrome series and it doesn't seem to be going anywhere fast. As with the first two books, we have romance, action, drama and plenty of cr4p being blown up, but generally I'm finding myself willing the overall storyline to lead somewhere quicker.

"The world doesn’t create darkness. I’ve found that true darkness, the real kind."

Tace didn’t manage to win me over quite as quick as I'd have liked but he grew on me as the story progressed. Brooding in nature, as expected he oozes alpha and he and Sami do have chemistry, however for a the first half of the book they failed to convince me that they were right for one another: as has been the case with previous couples, they have what I’d term a volatile relationship. That said Zanetti does inject the heat between them and you can't fault the sexy time.

"There's no life for me without you."

But for all that I'm becoming somewhat bored and frustrated by the lack of development, after three books I’m still invested (or stubborn) enough to want to know how this series ends—that’s if there are plans for it to continue. Maybe it's me, maybe all this build up is leading to something that will wow, I really hope that's the case, because I know what Rebecca Zanetti is capable of, but I'm just not feeling that desperate need for more as I have when reading other continuing series' from her.

Rebecca Zanetti's The Scorpius Syndrome series keep getting better and better. Hold on to your hat when it comes to Tace and Sami! As a part of the Vanguard inner circle, Tace and Sami are both familiar characters. There has been something there from the beginning, but neither of them were willing to take it to the next level.

Sami has had a secret from the beginning. We know she was keeping something back, but when she comes clean, it's totally unexpected. Tace is struggling with coping with the changes from surviving the infection. He's "going dark" and isn't sure if he even cares. When they finally give in, the results are explosive.

Zanetti does an amazing job of creating these complex characters, then putting them into a world where the rules have changed. The internal struggle is very unique to each of characters and keeps you engaged to the very end. The pace of the story is amazing, keeping you on your toes and trying to figure what she's going to do next. She also does an amazing job of keeping her other characters engaged and evolving. You get to see Jax and Lynne and Raze and Vinnie continue to grow and evolve right along with Tace and Sami. She's also throwing out teasers, such as Grey and Moe, that make me excited to see where she's planing to take us next. Oh and don't forget Lena. She's one of my favorite characters.

If you haven't read this series, you need to, because its getting better with every installment!

Can you find happiness before it is too late? Tace knows that he is getting worse, the virus has taken over and he has new issues but he is too scared to say anything as he doesn't want everyone to think that he has gone dark. Sami knows something is up with him but she has enough problems with keeping people from knowing the truth about her.
Can they ever find the bunker and get the cure that everyone needs before even more people die?
Can Tace & Sami cross that line or will it destroy everything for them? Can Jax get them to work it out he knows that he has to give them a chance as he is a happy man now and he wants his friends to be able to experience it.
Can they make more allies as they know where a bunker is and Sami has no secret any longer as she did the right thing by telling everybody about her past and she hopes that she can save Tace before it is too late.
Maybe the President is dead we can only hope. But they still need to find a cure and hopefully someone with the virus will be able to have a baby.
Another great book in the series full of action, new beginnings and understanding. I hope that we learn more about Lena and her story as she knows so much and I hope that the two children can help her. Can't wait for the next one. I was lucky enough to get a copy through Netgalley & the publishing house in exchange for a honest unbiased review.

Another thrilling chapter in the apocalyptic world were the Scorpius virus has killed off 99% of the population. I think I liked this story more than the others because now we have two established couples along with the “new” couple the book is about plus the addition of the Mercenaries who get more page time along with finally learning more about the Bunkers that have been talked about in all the previous books.

Tace Justice and Sami Steel are characters that we've known since the first book. Tace we've known both before and after he contracted the virus. Before he was the good ole boy from Texas with a wicked sense of humor. Since surviving it his thoughts have become darker and his obsessions rampant, with his biggest being his attraction to Sami. Turns out Sami has been hiding some pretty big secrets about her past and her knowledge of the location of the Bunkers. She is pretty kick ass and as tough as the guys and her past of hacking for the government just ups her coolness.

I was happy that things moved along knowledge wise in finding out what went on in the Bunkers and the huge surprise that we learned in them. I hope there are many more books to come as I would love to have Greyson and Maureen's story along with the surprise couple we met in this book. Plus there are still plenty of loose ends still rolling around that need to be tied up.

I really, really want to say that this been the best book in the series thus far. Really. I think it’s the combination of already knowing the Scorpius Syndrome world and having the back story of Trace Justice. I’ve been intrigued by him ever since he survived being infected by Scorpius. The sweet charmer from Texas has now begun to go dark, and the charismatic medic is no more. He’s more lethal, he’s more domineering, and he feels nothing. It’s a drastic change that impacts how he heals others, sees others, and deciphers intentions.

Justice Ascending also feels like a long epic read. I’m not sure if it’s because I’ve missed this cast of characters or if Zanetti is transforming into a status of a truly gifted author; one who not only keeps producing fantastic works, but grows and extends herself to keep reaching for more each book she writes.

It’s a crazy world that has been set on fire with the rise of contagion and a psychotic president. Each previously highlighted couple stays fresh and current in the readers’ mind as the story continues to move along framing a baited breath mentality for more books, yet keeping us vested in the now.

Darkly funny with gritty action, and a never die resilience that keeps me coming back for more!

Justice Ascending by Rebecca Zanetti is the third book in The Scorpius Syndrome series and it was an action packed story.

Tace and Sami are both complex characters with big secrets. Tace is having serious side effects from his exposure to Scorpius but doesn't want any one to know. Sami has convinced Jax that she's an ex LAPD rookie. Her fighting skills seem to prove that but she is a whole lot more.

The dialogue was sharp with insights into each of the characters. The plot moved at the speed of light with plenty of action and romance. Ms. Zanetti's world building is becoming wider and more indepth as the search for the infamous Bunker and survival supplies continues. There were several dark moments in this story but that is to be expected as this world is dark and scary. There were also some lighter moments as readers get to see the friendships that are being forged in this post apocalyptic world. There is also the tentative truce between Vanguard and the Mercs which I hope will be explored more in the near future. I am already looking forward to the next book in this series.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book from Zebra/Kensington via NetGalley.

I love Rebecca Zanetti's books. I have never not loved one of her books. I usually do not like end of the world books, but I love this series! There is so much action and adventure, but it still has romance. This is Tace and Sami's story, but you should read the whole series to really know what it going on. They are labeled as standalone books, but you will not know what is going on without reading the first 2 books. Tace is the typical southern boy, but he has been infected with the Scorpious virus. He has survived the virus, but his personality gets darker and he trying to avoid becoming a Ripper. Sami has been hiding secrets, and Tace has to figure out what they are. I love how Sami is a tough chick, and she can totally take care of herself. Wait until the and to hand combat fights!! This book answered a lot of the questions from the previous books, but there are still some points left unfinished. There are still the Rippers, the evil president and his elite force. I cannot wait to read the next book!

I'm really enjoying this post apocalyptic series. The men are over the top alpha and the women are strong and some even kick a$$ as good as the men. That's Sami! She is keeping a secret and knows if it comes out The Vanguard will kick her out. This group has become her family. And somewhere along the line Trace has become more. Trace is has the Scorpius syndrome and is turning darker everyday. Only Sami seems to see beyond it. Trace is trying to hide symptoms that could jeopardize his missions.
This book was non-stop action and wasn't sure who would survive! Rebecca Zanetti hit all the notes in this book. I was on the edge of my seat many times and I laughed and cried a few times too. Can't wait to read the next book in this series.

This is book 3 in the Scorpius Syndrome series and I highly recommend starting with book 1. While each book focuses on one couple, you have continuous characters in each of these books. If you are like me, the more books I read with the same characters the more I get invested and enjoy the series more as each book comes out.

If you are looking for just romance, you are not going to get that in this series. You are getting so much more. This is an action packed, romantic suspense about a deadly virus that has spread. Those who don't die from the virus have been changed in unpredictable ways.

I'm completely fascinated with this world the author has created and I'm enjoying the continuous evolving plot. It's unpredictable and you don't know who is going to survive from book to book. Each character is affected by the virus differently and I love that some of them are getting abilities that is almost like super powers. I'm looking forward to seeing where the author is going to take this series.

This is my favorite type of romance-post-apocalyptic. I've read each of the books in this series and it only gets better and better with each book. Though this is the third book in the series, they can be read as standalones, though the story is so much richer by reading them all and in order.
Trace was a medic before Scorpius and is a valued member of Vanguard. Sami is a kick-ass lieutenant of Vanguard and claims to have been a member of the LAPD. It's been fun watching these two dance around each other up to now. But the the time has come to fish or cut bait. While the action is nonstop, the romance is hot and adorable. Zanetti has added yet another winner to this series and at two books a year in this series from her plus her Blood Brothers series, my hero!

Prior to contracting Scorpius, Tace Justice was a by-the-book good ol' boy from Texas, former medic in the military and all around good guy. After contracting Scorpius syndrome, Tace is hanging on to his humanity by his fingernails just hoping not to turn into a ripper which is what they call a person that went insane and became dangerous to themselves and others after contracting Scorpius. There is no known cure for someone who has turned into a ripper except a bullet.
Sami Steel has been a member of Vanguard for a long time, but little is really known about her except that she was a former LAPD rookie before Scorpius but her story never adds up. Sami is a master of hand to hand combat but can't shoot strait to save her life and it's raised a few questions about whether or not she is who she says and as it turns out she's not former LAPD after all but a hacker with a secret. Sami knows the location of The Bunker, the secret research facility that everyone has been looking for hoping they found the cure for Scorpius!

The Scorpius Syndrome series just keeps getting better and better!

Justice Ascending is Tace and Sami's story. Together the two are truly hot! Tace's health is failing rapidly but he's a fighter now and the darkness and aggression in him will not give up. Sami has been keeping a secret. The secret of all secrets. This could destroy their new relationship but save his life.

They have each other's back. All of them, and although their world is full of turmoil and danger, they are family. Family sticks together. They experience death too often and have to keep on fighting.

A tenuous alliance with the Mercs. An attack on the Elite and Ripper President. All this leading up to the discovery of Sami's secret. Explosions all around them and threaten to take away those they once. New discoveries are made. Huge discoveries!

I can't wait for book 4! The ScorpiusSyndrome series has me literally on the edge of my seat, heart pounding!

I enjoyed reading about one of the main characters in this series. It's horrible to contemplate what's happened to our world and how this pandemic of Scorpius Syndrome has affected the world. This is the 3rd book and tells the story of Tace & Sami and the Vanguards continued search for a cure for the Scorpius bacterium. This book has great romance, exciting battles and twists that will keep you reading. I couldn't put the book down and when I finished it, I wanted more. Waiting for the next book is almost as bad as waiting for a cure for Scorpius! Another MUST READ book by Rebecca Zanetti!!

It was good, but not as good as the first two. It bogged down in the middle. I'm guessing because it was more of the same. Sami and Tace/Texas were hot and it was great seeing all the old peeps. There are some new ones introduced and new alliances made, but we are again left with so many unanswered questions....

Great series. Picks up where last book left off. Hooks you from page one to the very end. Keeps you wondering if Tace is gonna end up truly evil as the virus works its way through his system. Sami has a secret she finally lets out when it seems Tace is gonna die. Still have the Rippers, the President and the Elite force to keep from taking out the Vanguard people. Lots of action going on,Jax still has to deal with the Pure Church people he is keeping safe as it looks like the Reverend has betrayed them. Look forward to next in series

This whole series has been action packed starting with the first chapter. This book continues the drama. Tace is their medic who has survived the virus but it has changed his personality. Sami is a soldier trained by her father and uncle. Sparks fly between them until they can no longer resist the draw to each other. It's edge of your seat suspense and a fight to save Tace's life. This book is a wild ride from start to finish. Action, adventure, suspense, romance and drama with some laugh-out-loud moments, I was absolutely hooked from the first page and struggled to put it down. I loved every moment of it!

5 huge stars!

With the third book in the Scorpius Syndrome series, Rebecca Zanetti takes us back to her dangerous post-apocalyptic world – specifically, LA after the breakout of the Scorpius virus has killed off 99% of the population. The survivors cluster together in gangs in order to survive – fighting off rival gangs for territory and precious resources, while desperately searching for a cure, and working to rebuild civilisation.

Tace and Sami have been a part of the series since the very beginning. Both part of the elite crew of the Vanguard gang, they are patrol partners and friends, soldiers who defend their territory and its people from the never-ending threats they face.

Tace used to be the joker of the crew, a Texas boy with good looks and effortless charm. But he fell to Scorpius, surviving the deadly virus but coming out markedly changed – angry and broody with a renewed taste for women and a dark streak. He fears the darkness that seems to be consuming him, and the line between right and wrong is increasingly blurry, but he is loyal to his home, to the soldiers that fight by his side, and those that he has sworn to protect.

Sami became part of the gang when she introduced herself as ex-LAPD and was quickly recruited into protection duty. She has worked with Tace day in and day out, and though there has been ‘something’ simmering between them, neither of them have acted on it.

Now, Tace and Sami are sent on a mission to Mercenary territory, and their time away from Vanguard and a whole lot of alcohol proves the perfect excuse for them to finally open up to each other about everything that is between them. And Tace the sweetheart is now Tace the bad boy, and holy hell is he HOT! The man is all kinds of sexy, and amidst big action scenes and a whole lot of political scheming, he and Sami rock each other’s worlds, and it sparks something between them that neither of them are about to let go.

But their relationship is anything but easy. Their world is a bleak place and their lives are dangerous, and as if that isn’t bad enough, Tace’s side effects from the virus seem to be worsening by the day. He doesn’t know when or if he’ll lose his mind, or his life, to Scorpius. And for Sami, watching the man she deeply cares for deteriorating so quickly forces her to reveal a long-held secret that could save his life, but it could threaten everything that they have found together – and the very safety and security that she counts on to survive. And even if she does, will her friends – and more importantly, Tace - be able to forgive her for her deception.

This is such an intense read. There is so much happening, with multiple storylines playing out (mostly carried over from previous books so please don’t read this as a standalone!), and I thought it was fantastic! I loved the way it was all tied together and I loved the direction that this story took. In particular, the second half of the book is non-stop, and it feels like I barely took a breath! The anticipation is electric, the excitement had me buzzing and the action scenes left me breathless – it felt like I was watching an action movie and I couldn’t stop reading!

And in the middle of it all, there is a brave and sassy girl trying to do the right thing and make amends, and a broken man who is coming to terms with who he is – and their beautiful, amazing love story.

It’s all absolutely epic, with the different elements of the story blending together to create a fantastic read that held me captivated from start to finish. I loved the continuation of previous storylines and the chance to catch up with previous characters - they are all involved in the everyday life of Tace and Sami, which means they're all a witness to the unfolding romantic drama, and Jax continues to rock my world. And I love the hints at new stories to come! The direction of this book will have a huge impact on where the series will go from here, and I can’t wait for more.

I loved it - 5 massive stars.

Loved it.

We have finally found The Bunker, only to find it's one of many and might not have been working on a cure. Our main couple in this volume of the Scorpius Syndrome saga is Tace Justice, a medic, and Sami Steel, a computer hacker. Only thing is, Sami told everybody she was a LAPD rookie. She worked at the bunker in LA, but told no one that until keeping it secret would cost Tace his life. This couple has been flirting with each other since the series began, but only recently did they go beyond friendship. Not an easy thing, since Sami is just as alpha as Tace.
I have been enjoying the saga as much as the various romances. We are promised one more book, but I wonder if finding and producing a cure, defeating the psychotic president, and restoring civilization can be realized in just one book.

Just getting Justice Ascending was wonderful . It was a long wait but so worth it!!! I loved it from the first chapter. Sexy, gritty, and gripping. Tace and Sami finally get together and Sami comes into her own!! Great to have Jax and Raze pop in and their ladies. I feel Grayson and Maureen have history. And Damon, I wonder what his story will be. This is a fast paced read, so well written that you could almost be there. I love Ll Rebecca Zanetti books. A first class Author. I recommend you go out and buy this book, in fact the whole series. You will not be disappointed because I wasent. It's a 10/10 from me plus 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. It's that good a series. Sandra Cameron.

Tace and Sami are soldiers in the fight to protect their home, the Vanguard, and keep the Rippers out. Infected by the Scorpius bacterium, they survived when many didn't. Tace knows that it's not a good idea to care about anyone because they could die in an instant but he can't stop thinking about her. Sami can't deny the chemistry between them either. Another great addition to the Scorpius Syndrome series by Zanetti!
