This author brings something different to the paranormal world. The main character is independent, sarcastic and very loyal. The story line has a unique twist and I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series!

Just discovered this series two days ago, and so far ive finished all four of the books, i literally have not put them down.

This series is well thought out, with great characters and story lines.

For Blood Destiny, you will be on the edge of your seat.

And also potentially might just fall in love with Corrigan.. like i have.

Cannot wait for the next book in the series.

Totally enjoyed this book. I was a little concerned after reading some of the reviews that the heroine would come across and unpleasant and make it difficult for me to like her as the reader. That, however, was not the case.

I love these books, the characters, the plots - all draw you in. There have been some twists that I didn't see coming and it is in parts quite dark, but the characters are developing over the books and I am looking forward to getting the next installment.

Fast paced shifter tale with a slightly different take on shifter life. Here we have a very strict hierarchy with tight control. Mack is a human with special blood hidden ina local pack. If discovered bad things happen. None of this is particularly new or original. So the success or failure depends on execution. Mack is an unpleasent character dominated by temper. She has the emotional maturity of a fourteen year old yet we are told she is the best hunter/protector of the pack. Great hunters succeed through patience and judgement. Mack has none of those qualities. Her judgement is horrible and her stupidity dominates the story. I could find nothing likable about her and will not read further in the series.

I generally really enjoyed this book. Mack is a fun character. She has a forceful personality and an equally strong backbone. I liked seeing her stand up for herself and those that she cared about. She did seem a little too willing to sacrifice herself for them though. I also appreciated that she had accepted herself for who she was, even if there were still lingering regrets that she couldn't be like everyone else. I must admit that, though her complete lack of verbal filter was fun at times, it did border on suicidal. There is a distinct difference between speaking your mind and not being ABLE to control yourself and what you say. The first is a sign of one's strength of character, the second a character flaw. There were times I thought it unrealistic that she got away with so blatantly breaching protocol and the chain of command. At the top of that chain of command was Corrigan and he was a sleek, sexy joy. Though I was disappointed at how little progress was made in their 'relationship.' In fact, seeing where it would go is the primary reason I picked up and read the second one.

The bare bones of it is that I enjoyed this jaunt through the world of English shifters. I know it might not be true, but it feels like most shifter stories are set in the US and it was nice to find myself in Cornwall for a change. Well worth the read.

The book starts off well and keeps your interest until the main character Mac just becomes too much of an ass and continously does things and reacts in ways that don't make sense any longer. The plot is that Mac who lives with a shifter pack thinks she is only human and that if the Brethren Alpha finds this out he will punish her and her pack. To me, at least, the story would have been much better if at some point Mac wised up and quit being a total "mess up" and the rest of the story had led into a relationship or seduction from the other most interesting character, Corrigan, the Brethren Alpha. He seems to smart to be fooled by Mac anyway, yet the story goes with this super powerful, super smart Alpha never catching on that Mac is human. Give me a break!

Great paranormal urban fantasy. The story and world building were great! Loved the main character, she's pretty kiss a$$. Also, the potential love interest was a hot alpha male. I really enjoyed how quickly I was immersed in the book and invested in the main heroine. Why this only got four stars is that's it ended as if it were in mid story (like a serial, which I really don't like) and the story could have flowed a little more smoothly, there were parts that were too slow or glossed over too quickly that jerked me around a little bit. Otherwise, a good book and I've purchased the other three books in the series, so definitely a recommended read.

Found this series by accident on the kindle. Was very surprised how much I liked it, could not wait to get on to the next release in the series. Although a bit predictable at times and pretty bad editing, its a must read for all fantasy lovers.

If you read fantasy novels like the otherworld series by Kelley Armstrong and the Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare, you will love the Blood destiny series!!

This review is written when I am half way through book 5, that I have also commented on. The fact that I have read all these books is a definite endorsement on their readability and imaginative writing.

All three books in this series are outstanding. The characters are bold and lovable/hateable. I'm bummed that there aren't more of them!!! This is now my alltime favorite series and now I'm going to go back and read all 3 again!

This series was pretty decent, but the characters act like cartoon characters. A grown woman literally 'stomping' somewhere to show her anger or scissor kicking people in a small office. Also, the number of typos are numerous and exhausting. It would have been nice for a little bit of reality in this world of fantasy, and a little more planning instead of having spontaneous scenes occuring in a situation that the characters would not and should not be focused on the complete opposite. I'm not finished with book 5 yet of this series, but I would only recommend it if you are capable of dealing with the obvious cartoon like attitude of the character and over dramatic posturing, and the idea of 'fate' tied into a species card. I enjoyed it, but it's not for everyone.

This is a great urban fantasy series--well written with engaging characters, plenty of well-paced action and a good dose of humor. The books start strong and get better and better as you go and the main character, Mack, continues to develop. One of the best series I've read this year.
