Pete the Cat: Construction Destruction

This is probably Pete's worst book. There is one part of the book that makes no sense to me and I always turn back because I figure I must have missed a page. The playground equipment crashes to the ground and on the next page it's put back together. It's very odd because the whole point of the book is construction so up to that point they talk about how they plan and build it, then it falls down and magically reappears??? Just odd. Too bad - mostly for me. My son doesn't seem to mind but my husband and I are stuck reading this one. We love the other Pete the Cat books.

I expected more creative opportunity. My son who is five really likes Pete so I thought it would encourage him to do more drawing, which is what he struggles with. It's more like a coloring book than a book that inspires artistry.
