Pete the Cat: The First Thanksgiving

Pete the Cat visits the first Thanksgiving in this children's book. There are lift-up flaps on nearly every page with additional story information. I don't care for the lift-up flaps myself but this book was for our grand daughter. She really enjoys lifting up those flaps to show us there's more to the story. With that I must admit that the flap technique succeeded in keeping her interested in this book; beginning to end, over and over again. She adores Pete the Cat stories now. The Thanksgiving story as depicted is actually quite accurate and factual in its presentation. We ordered another Pete the Cat book for Christmas since our Grand daughter enjoys this one so much.

I received the book today, and I really disappointed. It was listed as being in good/used condition. It's a lift the flap book, and almost every flap has been torn off. There is also some sort of sticky stuff on the front cover.

My grand daughter was introduced to "Pete the Cat" books in preschool. I have since bought most of them for her. She was so excited at Thanksgiving because she was able to bring her Pete "The First Thanksgiving" to school and the teacher read it to the whole class. She is almost able to read the whole book by herself. A very cute and simple book to add to any collection.

I'm not exactly sure... But many family members and friends all seem to think that there is a page in the book that might have been printed wrong. Either way, all pete the cat books are great and my kids love them. My kids loved this book but they wanted a song/tune in it like all the other pete the cat books. The book did help both of my kids understand thanksgiving. It was educational in a fun way.
