This book is very funny for anyone who likes sassy and bossy little girls. It’s about this girl named Junie B that forgot to do her homework and saw that May’s homework was on her desk and Junie B copied it. Junie B copied it before May got back from the office. Junie B didn’t want her teacher, Mr. Scary to get mad at her for not doing her homework and coping off May’s homework.

I would give this book to anybody that likes sassy and bossy little girls. To find out more read more the book to find what happens next.

Like all Barbara Parks books, this is another hit. My soon to be second grader loves to read them to us as much as we like reading them to her. Sometimes we wonder about Junie B's vocabulary but we explain these are the words she uses but here is a different choice. Great lesson in this story.

Junie B., First Grader: Cheater Pants has a title that tells it all! Junie is out of kindergarten and into first grade, so there are some bigger and harder lessons for our obstinate and hilarious little heroine to learn.

Will Junie B. Jones emerge a smarter girl after this misadventure in Mr. Scary's classroom? You can be sure that Barbara Parks will never let Junie escape unscathed! (And there will be lots of laughs for us.)

First of all, all first graders are cheaters! They have to learn to not cheat somewheres. I think this book is a good source of teaching children. Children can enjoy reading this book as they learn that cheating is not something any child should continue doing. They should learn it is not tolerated from parents or any adults and teachers. I like the way the lesson was taught here in "Cheater Pants". We have laughed a lot in this series of books!

My family and I have truely enjoyed this book! I highly recommend this book for parents to get for their child.

Have you read Junie B Jones? I just purchased the box set and began reading them to my kindergartener. I was horrified from the beginning at the very attitude and rude, ignorant spirit of Junie B Jones. She hates her name, the bus, the people on it, the teacher and her new school. What a negative thing to meet someone on the bus and instantly HATE them. Is this the kind of human interactions that we should be teaching our children? She yells, throws fits and generally has attitude about everything. The grammer is written from a 6 year old's perspective, which does nothing to educate our children about the way things should be phrased. This is not the picture of kindergarten, nor the worldview that I would suggest to my children or anyone else's for that matter. After 4 chapters, the entire series is in the trash as a waste of money. Think twice about what you are reading to your impressionable young children (or letting them read for themselves!) Would give zero stars if I could.

I liked the book because Junie B. Jones was always getting in trouble at school. First, Junie B.Jones copied Mays homework. This caused her to get in trouble with Mr.Scary and her Mom and Dad. The problem was that Junie B. Jones was a cheater pants. She does learn her lesson and decides never to cheat again. But that didn't last long because Herb helped her on the spelling test. She cheated again! Two days in a row she cheated. Herb and Junie B. couldn't sleep that night. So to make themselves feel better they went and told on themselves to Mr. Scary. She got in trouble again and was given another talk about cheating by her Mom and Dad. But the best thing of all was that Mr. Scary trusted her again because of her honesty.

I have been reading the Junie B. Jones books with my 6 year old daughter, we LOVE them. We get very excited to read each one. I love this book, because as a teacher I know my kids get tempted to look at eachother's papers. I think this is a great book to help us understand why we need to be honest and do our personal best in school.

Junie B. Jones Cheater Pants is really funny! I think you should read it because..... I just thought it was really funny and I just like reading Junie B. Jones. I showed my teacher alot of funny things and she thought it was funny too. Like when may was saying tin can instead of Cinquain and then she argued with her teacher about it. You should read it!

Perhaps I am going against the grain here. My husband and I saw these books at our children's book fair and were astounded that they were even in print. I have been a teacher and a school prinicipal and wouldn't recommend them to anyone for a number of reasons. Firstly, the sarcasm is just downright inappropriate. It is nasty and condescending. It reminds me of Sponge Bob, which I, and many other parents, by the way, wouldn't ever allow our children to watch. In this book, the lead character calls people names, cheats on tests and argues with her teacher and gets spanked! And this is geared toward little children? How about decent stories about character development and manners? What happened to sweet, innocent stories? Why do people feel they need to introduce their young children to this? Trust me, educationally, psychologically, morally, this is not the way to go with your child. Be the change you want to see in society. We in the schools see the recupercussions of such garbage. Keep your children innocent as long as you can and teach them well. It is society's only chance.

This book series is a high interest, medium reading level comprehension and great for primary school children. The book catches a child's attention immediately because of the illustration on the front cover. The back cover gives a concise, but good description of what is inside. Our granddaughters have enjoyed the "Junie B." books and request them both at the library and in book stores and on the store.

I recommend this to any child, parent, family member, friend or teacher who is trying to find a book that will hold a child's attention and be fun while improvimng the child's reading comprehension skills and encouraging the love of reading. "Some" decoding skills are needed if your child is a struggling reader but your task of assisting your child will be less difficult with the Junie B. series.

People complain about the grammer in Junie B.'s books. I don't see a problem at all. My child knows the difference between right and wrong. He makes funny faces when he knows that what she is saying is wrong. Last week my child brought home a book from the library that talked about evolution in it. I would much rather my child read a funny book that has bad grammer in it than to read about "My Uncle dragging his nuckles on the ground". My child is only 6 years old and he had no idea what he was checking out from the library, he thought it was a book about science.

I had ordered several Junie B books from the store.com. for Christmas. They were received less than a week later. When my granddaughter opened them on Christmas Eve, she was thrilled.

It is a pleasure to deal with the store because their products are reasonably priced and they are on target with delivary. In addition, if something has to be returned, they advise you via e-mail that the item has been received and the credit
is awarded on your credit card. the store makes Christmas shopping a lot more pleasurable.
