I absolutely loved this book!!! My favorite in a while I'm 12 and this book was recommended by my cousin and she was totally correct. This book is absolutely swishy! Good for young kids, just a little bit of confusing vocabulary. But is an amazing book for little girls. I love it!!

I thought that the book was exciting and interesting.
It lets you know whats going on in the book. It doesn' leave you somewhere and then take you to a whole different place.

This book was so interesting and heartwarming too. I loved how it had a mystery in it. The book made me realize how thankful I am for my dad and all my friends. I really enjoyed this books and I recommend it to you. I look forward to reading the rest of the series

I loved this book so much!!!!! I thought Emily was so brave because everything she did, she took a lot of risks. If you love to swim and act like your a mermaid underwater, then you are going to love this book!!!!! ;)

Both my granddaughters, ages 8 and 10, loved The Tail of Emily Windsnap. They can't wait to read the sequel. I also read the book and enjoyed it as children's literature, but I found it to be quite "light weight," the equivalent of a beach read for an adult. The story involves the transformation of a young girl into a mermaid and her search for her "merman" father. A number of important issues are deat with such as being an outcast at school, growing up with a single mother and family secrets. The story is compelling and you want to know what is going to happen.

The story is definitely geared towards young girls; my 7yo likes reading it. She can read it independently, but she is also a good reader for her age. I read it as do most things she readsl for an adult it was predictable but for a kid is less likely to see the outcome in advance.

Just finished reading this with my daughters 6, 7 & 9. They are big fans of mermaids. They all loved the book and are excited to move on to the next one. It was a cute story, I enjoyed it. I think it was a bit to keep my younger daughters attention on but she got the gist of it and was pretty excited to read it with us each night. Is certainly a read for kids 10 and up in my opinion.
Please RateThe Tail of Emily Windsnap
