I loved this book for the lesson it teaches. Last week in my speech group I was making milkshakes and had a bit of a mistake as I accidentally hit the button on the blender with the top off and the milkshake went allover my face and hair just like Beatrice! One of my students asked if I was mad! I said oh no! Everyone was laughing with me. It was funny. I decide to make a lesson out o the situation and this book will help me do just that!

Loved this book. Having read Rubinstein's other wonderful book, The Reluctant Disciplinarian, I continue to admire his writings. Beautiful lesson learned about being perfect. Not what it's not cracked up to be. A great book for Christmas gift. Hope to read more from this author.

My daughter is afraid to take educated risks with anything. This book helped her to see the benefits of risking and possibly failing at something without taking her mom's word for it. It also showed her a way to react if she makes a mistake. I hope it sticks.

I am a Speech Language Pathologist in an elementary school. I use this book for small group and whole class inclusion lessons dealing with social skills. It's the perfect story to accompany a "Worry Wall" lesson from the Social Thinking curriculum. So many of my students want to be perfect and Beatrice is someone that they can really relate to. I highly recommend for 3-5th grades.

This is just what my five year old daughter needed to read. It is cute and uncomplicated but drives the point home that mistakes are part of life. If you have a child who likes to be right all the time, this is the book to read to him/her.
