I always love reading Jennifer Armentrout, and she certainly didn't disappoint with The Return! It was hot, sweet, and undeniably brilliant. The characters are strong and well developed. You don't want to miss out on Seth and many of the characters we knew and loved from The Covanent series.

Love loved it. Jennifer is already amazing in her works but I loved this, because even if you hadn't read all the previous books it was fine. (i definitely didn't read all of the covenant books so being able pick this up and have the back story laid out was a huge plus) loved the tension laughter and romance of Josie and Seth can't wait for the Struggle to get here in 2017. Too far away in my opinion.

Polly-yon, Polly-poo, apolloanna, pollen-ann, rolly-pollys....the witty, sarcastic dialogue is right up my alley. I can't even count the number of times Joe and Sethie had me smiling. Action packed.
Fantastic continuation of my favorite Armentrout series. If you loved the Covenant series, this is a must-read

As is what you can expect from literally every book she has ever written, Jennifer Armentrout has once again put us into the heart racing, adrenalin pumping, action packed love story to begin all love stories! What's better is Seth is back!!! Love his character and the world he lives in! Not to mention his fierce and predatory need to love, protect, and cherish his perfect soul mate! This is a must read!!!

So as you can probably tell from the blurb above, the Titan series is a spinoff from the completed Covenant series. With that being said, you can absolutely read the Titan series without having read the Covenant books. There is a lot of history from the first series concerning Seth, Apollo and others in this book that will have an effect on them, but for newbies the major background information you need is relayed in The Return so that you are not lost.

For those who have read the Covenant books, Seth is probably a difficult character to love for most. He did some absolutely horrible things, but he found himself a measure of redemption when he forged the deal with the gods (referenced in the blurb) and basically gave up any control over his remaining life- or his afterlife. For the past year, he has been doing the dirty work that the gods assign to him tracking down those they consider to be traitors and dispatching them however he sees fits- which is usually a pretty messy affair since he has no other outlet for the self- loathing and rage that lives within him. When Apollo appears to send him on to his next assignment, he could never imagined that he would be tracking down and babysitting a mortal who bears an uncanny resemblance to Alex, the girl who caused him to make the deal that turned him into the gods' errand boy.

Josie has watched her mother struggle with mental illness since her childhood, so when the golden-eyed hottie appears out of nowhere trying to convince her that she is far from a mere mortal, she is sure that her mom's illness must have been passed on to her and she is starting to suffer the effects already. The appearance of creatures that should have no business existing causes her to quickly re-evaluate her thought process even if it is more than a little overwhelming. Seth can't help but be intrigued by this girl; where most would have folded in on themselves or completely broken down, she does a remarkable job of keeping it together. Inexplicably he finds himself opening up to her more than he has ever allowed anyone else to know him, and even though he knows Apollo would try to kick his ass into the Underworld in a rapid fashion if he evens thinks of touching her, he can't help but be drawn to her.

Josie has the benefit of getting to know Seth without the filter of his past actions to influence her, and as much as he feels he doesn't deserve it, he wants to enjoy her friendship and faith in him as long as possible. His actions throughout this story and the insight into his childhood and history had me melting for him in a big way as I gained a new perspective on the conundrum that is Seth, the Apollyon. His regret over his past actions is tangible and given the loneliness of his early years, his self imposed distance from anyone who tries to befriend him or care about him is second nature to him. When Josie finds a way under his skin and burrows in deep, he is completely thrown by it.

There is certainly plenty of action as Josie's true identity is revealed to those around her and she is hunted by some of the most powerful entities in existence, but there is also plenty of snarky humor, angst, heat and mystery to go around too. I loved Deacon, Aidan's brother and one of Seth's only friends, and I am definitely curious to know more about Josie's mom too. I believe there is more to her than meets the eye, and given the strength of the connection Josie and Seth feel by the end of this book, I suspect her history may be a surprise. The Return leaves off in a good place and I cannot wait to dive into The Power to see what comes next!

the book was very enjoyable and kept my interested the entire time. Another nice thing was that it's main character is from another book which fills you in while reading this one. So you never feel left out on whose is who and what is going on. I would definitely recommend this book

Another fantastic book written by Jennifer. Always amazed when I finish her books and start counting down to the next release. The Return had ask the up and downs that I am used to in her books. What I enjoyed was the ending knowing that there well be more to this story but without leaving a huge cliffhanger.

I absolutely loved this book. Once I started reading it I had a hard time putting it down. I forgot how much I liked Seth in the Covenant Series. I love how this is based on him. I love all of Jennifer's books but this is probably my favorite by far.

After reading the Covenant series, I really wanted to know more of Seth's story. This book fulfilled my wishes. Seth is such a complicated character and this is one of Jennifer Armentrout most well written books. This story swept me away.

*Lips curled up faintly, although eyes are a bit distant with mixed emotions as usual* I was there through it all, even though I slightly read out of context from the moment I spotted a pretty purple covered Half-Blood book & read the back. Looking through these thoughts fervently now, I am unsure if the summary drew me; hell, it could've been the swearing of a nice image greeting me, or me being a book weed smoker because these eyes inhaled so much & I still wouldn't know. This is huger than the Great Norns *sucked ina deep breath* this isn't even like a compulsion & better than an allure like I suggested not long ago.....mentally of course

Through it all, besides having the heart to slaughter even characters I like in cold, yet, bitterly victorious blood, this book experience changed me. As I kept going on, I felt them. ALL of them. I think something in me is broke & I'm more open, though ironically closed off *wry click of tongue as brow arched* visionary is more than scary- plus, the experience is a foundation of shiggidy I cannot form words as my brain just drew a blank spot in the Netherrealm; tunnel vision is at an all time high low however that's perceived to be conceived

These books are more than books *swooshed spit around swoosh of inner mouth indentations* a portal has opened for me. I actually got to see the characters for what their emotions truly hold way grasped beyond pages of paper that conveyed more than justice, but when I met Hades, he was fuggin Australian, not British, & that's odd. Even stranger is how I was laying in bed one night chillin with my nightlight on when I was transported to an unknown part of the Underworld. The fear of shackles were very real, but so was the tang of fierceness to fight. I wasn't even daydreaming; no matter how many times I blinked my eyes, I couldn't leave without failing a test of courage maybe. Vini vidi vici roared inside me that night. As I slayed undead things & set Hades on fire in vengeance; his ashes became my lullaby. Apollo did help me knowing I needed it & the fear I inevitably conquered in 30seconds flat probably...

Now he watches over me along with other unsavory bloodthirsty Gods & possibly Goddesses *snort*I'll set them ablaze too. Musical chime to my child soul *momentarily pressed lips together* I dunno how, but Lady Armentrout, your books are a portal into a world less known. You've got some kooky Granny Piperi rolling through those fingers coming out your brain that I appreciate so much my vocabulary is atrocious; heh. Thanks for writing......without discovering your book that set a chain reaction to a series of supernatural events rivaling glittery vampires & irrevocably true bloods, I wouldn't have become more understanding as I am now.....my brain would be dull as Apollo's corny meaningful threats. I can sssssssoooo outdo him in that category of gory wits & he's supposed to be my like, long lost thriving ancestor *scoffed having amusement dancing in eyes* Phoebus Pollo-Shirt has a lot to learn, especially knowing he'd stare at a disco ball for eternity if he didn't have Godly duties that- *squints*I rambled too much *yawns* whoopie cushion

When part 2 of Seth comes out, I'm going to cry like nothing ever mattered before; I guarantee it, though, it's NEVER going to be for me, but the characters that are raped of their privileges. That's how I roll *took deep breath exhaling rather quickly without missing a beat* is it weird to like, have peculiar visions of what I read that goes far over logical explanations? *murmurs softly* I swear to all things unnatural I'm using astral projection when I cry out mentally for them & more....hm *noodle tilt*
