The book includes detail and captures emotions and outrage beyond what is in an excellent movie. It captures the Nazis' inhumanity to a population they considered "sub-human," including the irrationality of while fighting a war on two fronts, they dedicated resources sorely needed elsewhere to exterminating millions of people.
Man's hatred of those they consider inferior to themselves reaches an all-time level portrayed in Schindler's List, this irrationality continues today in multiple areas of the world. This book should be required reading in secondary education.

Although disappointed at first that this was not a novel, as in Jeff Shaara's excellent historical novels about wars, I finally was satisfied with a good read. The author seemed to be trying to analyze Schindler's motives in aiding the Jews he employed. This may well be impossible. Schindler appears to me to have been a person with a conscience, who was disgusted with the Hitler regime and it's disregard for human life. I believe he would have helped anyone who was in danger of slaughter, as was in fact shown during the course of the book.

I must say, the beginning of the book was extremely boring, in the sense that it felt dragged on. The book gets interesting towards the middle, however, if you plan on reading this to smaller children, think again because this book will be hard for them to follow along, considering they would have to remember all these German names, ranks, places, etc. The story is extremely sad and tells the story of the holocaust well.

Book was in really good condition for a book that cost less than a dollar. The condition of the book was as stated. The S/H cost more than the book. I'm pleased with my purchase. Sometimes I prefer old books to new. Thank you!!!

What an incredible story. I have no words to describe the power of this book. The story of Oskar Schindler is important and one that should never be forgotten. I could not recommend this book highly enough.

Schindler did wonderful amazing things .... I got 3/4 of the way through this book and Schindler STILL had not saved a single Jew. This was like reading a very poor history of Germany. Slow, boring, and extremely little about the man and his saving the Jewish people when I put it down, 75% finished. BORING
