This has really given me information and confidence on how to help change my life. Having always struggled with food and the mental impact, this really helps clear up questions and is not a confusing diet.

This is a great book especially for those who may have lost weight and find it creeping back on. This book will teach you how to maintain a healthy lifestyle, and change the habits that got you in a bad way to begin with. I highly recommend this book.

What a well written book that constantly refers to studies upon studies upon studies that are all showing the negative effects of the standard American diet (SAD) and how we have to change our habits while there is still time. I thought I was a fairly healthy eater until I really reflected on how I've been feeling and found Dr. Fuhrman through rewatching Forks Over Knives. I didn't know it the first time I watched the movie but five years later I realized that the "healthy" way I was eating was not really healthy, but it was how people whom eat the SAD way would label me. In reading this book I have learned better and I really feel like this change will be lasting!

Another excellent book by Dr. Fuhrman. His best so far, in my opinion. A book that gives hope, practical advice and has helped a loved one lose over 30 pounds in less than two months. Highly recommend it.

Having read "Eat to Live" I was skeptical that this book would offer anything new, but it does. I think the discussion of toxic hunger is very important, as is the discussion of several fad diets, particularly, the Paleo Diet. I highly recommend this book!

Its a very well documented and written book. Joel is informative but not pressing his ideals. Just stating what is. Would be very helpful for those who are looking to get on track with there health and the whole foods way of eating and why its so important. Happy with the read.

This just makes sense! Am loving smoothies for breakfast, was already doing salads for lunch (but they're bigger now!), but am struggling with beans ideas. My favorite is sautéed onions, zucchini, red peppers, mushrooms, garlic and whatever unseasoned beans I'm using that week. Yummy! Losing weight again... Thanks Dr. Fuhrman!

Not crazy about some of the recipes. The book is great though. I learned a lot and I really love Dr. Fuhrman. This guy knows his stuff. Worth the money. I think this is the best "diet" Life style there is. Life changing!!!

this book needs more discussion, or warning, or complete chapter about need for B12 (and other?) supplements. this book contains 3 very brief, and possibly confusing, mentions about need for vitamin B12: ".....a separate but serious issue, resulting in the death of ...". i started to have burning feet about 2 months ago and doctor said it could be related to my new vegan diet (as described in this book) and following website:

Dr. Joel Fuhrman writes well and is full of information. This book just adds to his earlier works about changing your eating habits. This is a must read for those who want to improve their health and extend their life!

I have been studying the effects of diet on health for over 30 years. I've read hundreds of health books and thousands of studies. Dr. Fuhrman is absolutely spot on with "The End of Dieting". If everyone followed this advice there would soon be no healthcare crisis in America. The body is designed to be self-healing. All we have to do is to feed it the foods that we are designed to thrive on, and stop putting things into it that interfere with its normal house cleaning processes. Buy this book and put it to work in your life. It will be the best thing you can ever do to promote incredible health for the rest of our life. I live it and I recommend it to all of my patients.

This diet has changed my life, I no longer suffer from migraines. I came across Eat to Live about 2 years ago and I have been preaching it to people ever since! This truly is the way our bodies are designed to eat. Thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart Dr. Fuhrman.

Well written with the TRUE research to back it up. Recipes aren't the best but provide a good start. This book does a good job of.of explaining how to truly experience a life that takes the emphasis from just losing weight to a life of health. It's a good resource to return to again and again for support. Even my doctor approved...

Dr. Fuhrman gives straight unbiased facts. No junk science. If you want to know the truth about how food effects your body Joel Fuhrman is the man. He is the world's expert on whole food nutrition. It helps that his writing style is clear, concise and easy to follow.

Convincing (but again, in my case at least, preaching to the choir), quite thorough. Some chapters- first few - I thought contained really valuable information and insight on food addiction, etc. Book has lots of practical and applicable information as well as recipes, some of which I've tried and liked. My one beef (yes a pun) with this book, is that the author promotes some of his own line of nutritional products. Perhaps this is a good thing as clearly these can be used in the recipes and thus clearly adhere to the nutritional advice the author espouses. BUT the effect this had on me is to wonder if this book was just yet another marketing tool, rather than a genuine guide to help people be healthier.
