Feet Are Not for Kicking (Board Book) (Best Behavior Series)

I bought this book, because my daughter started biting at daycare. I figured it wouldn't be too long before she mastered kicking. As part of a series these books are fun for kids as well as the adults who read them!

A friend recommended the Hands Are Not for Hitting book and since my 2 year old was also kicking, I bought this as well. It worked the first time we read it together and the simple reminder, "Feet are not for Kicking people," works like a charm!!

Our 3 year old grandson did kick others. After reading this book, which he practically has memorized, he stopped kicking. I like the board books as children read the same book over and over, and these hold up well. Great pictures and also examples of when it is OK to kick.

This book is part of the Best Behavior Series book and would be a good resource for parents and caregivers. Some children struggle with kicking when they are frustrated and this book gives caregivers positive language to use with children who are kicking others. It also helps children understand that kicking hurts others and they can use their feet for fun things.

This series is great for younger kids or kids that may need some reminders about basic conduct/manners/hygiene. The message is clear and direct, the colors are great, and the words are repetitive enough that they make for wonderful early readers as well. Our autistic son needs these reminders to help him navigate life in public school and he loves these books. These are board books, so they hold up well to the love they will surely receive.

Great book to use with toddlers both in personal family and as a therapeutic tool in mental health therapy. Book is coated, easy to clean, will not tear, and if very short with good children graphics. Excellent teaching tool.
