We LOVE this book! The language and words-per-page are perfect for my 3- and 5-year-olds. Clear explanations of cause and effect. The right balance of logic and emotion. Gives great suggestions for dealing with the urge to bite. We quote it all the time! love it!

My daughter actually loves this book. She only bit someone once (an adult), but shortly after that, we started reading this book and she hasn't done any biting since (6 months later). I don't know if it's the book or just her, but either way, she loves to read this book over and over.

I highly recommend this book. My toddler had a biting phase a few months back. Telling her no and stopping her from biting were just not working.
After reading this book a few times, she seemed to really understand that teeth were not for biting.
Love this book! She still enjoys reading this book today.

Loved this book. My son was bitting at school and we didn't know what to do. We tried many things and finally someone suggested a book. This is the only book out there that focused primarily on biting. Some of the other books also focus on other bad behaviors. This book is great for focusing your child in on improving one behavior.

I ordered this book because my little girl was biting at day care 2-3 times a day. I tried everything I could think of with her to get her to stop. I tried time out, tried spanking, tried biting her back, I tried to get her to understand that biting was wrong. She was on the verge of being kicked out of day care. As a working mom, I didn't know what else to do. I had to work, so she had to be at day care. I started reading this book to her at least once but as much as 2-3 times a day. She even really enjoyed the book and slowly but surely, the reports of biting decreased. She is now 2 1/2, still likes to read the book and no longer bites!

I love the series. I bought many from the series. This one is just as good as the others. Yes they are very repetitive but we are reading to talkers here guys. We shouldn't be expecting riveting plot lines here.

My 18 mo grand daughter has loved these books for months. I can see her being able to get use from them for a long time. Will be helpful when she is learning to read. We have been talking about the images and concepts since she was about 6 months old.

I bought this for my granddaughter who was biting other children at daycare. We read it almost every night and she really seems to enjoy it. Not sure if the book has anything to with it but she hasn't bitten since.

Our daughter started biting at school when she was 18/20 months old. We got this book to talk about other ways to communicate and how not to bite our friends or family. It worked great. She stopped within a few short weeks (maybe a week or two at most!). She loves the "No Biting" book. Definitely recommend it to anyone experiencing this issues.

This book is a really great resource for teaching a child not to bite. The whole book is focused on biting and how it hurts. There are also great resources and suggestions at the end of the book for parents. Highly recommend.

Our family enjoys this book series. We have the Diapers are Not... and Hands are Not... books. We purchased this book for our 2 year old, as biting has been an issue. She bites as a behavioral response. While biting is addressed in this way in the book, it seems more of the text focuses on biting as a response to teething pain. Nonetheless, we appreciate how these books provide appropriate alternative behavioral suggestion in a kid-friendly way.

This is the only book on biting that actually attempts to talk about biting - which is great that they attempt to address it. The book starts off good, but after about the 2nd page, it gets too wordy and my daughter won't sit and read it. The concepts are great, but the delivery doesn't work for young toddlers.

This book actually helped our daughter not bite. My husband and I appreciated having something calm to say when she tried to bite ("teeth are not for biting") and the short little tips were surprisingly helpful. We really like the "hugs, that feels better".

My daughter was having a problem with biting at daycare. She is 18 months and asks me to read this all the time. Seems she is really taking it in and hasn't had any biting episodes since we got this for her. Illustrations are bright and the book's length is just right.

Toddlers bite for many different reasons. This book covers many scenarios and suggests other ways to deal with their problems. It also has an effective refrain of "Ouch! Biting hurts." It also contains tips for parents in the back. A very good tool for handling different types of biters!

Our biter's biting frequency rapidly dropped when we started reading this to our 21-month-olds. Within about 3 weeks, the biting had stopped (we've been bite-free for about 3 months). We got "No More Biting for Billy Goat!" about a week later and reinforced with this.

Coincidence? Maybe. But when my 19 month old son was recently going through a biting phase, we bought this book. We would read it daily and talk about teeth. Now he points to our teeth and wants to read the book. He has also stopped biting his little friend. Yay! Besides that the book is adorable and really focuses on biting. We also bought the No Biting book by Karen Katz, which is great but not only focused on biting. We didn't want to highlight all the other ways to hurt their little friends if he wasn't doing it.

This is a really great series. I purchased most of these books in the collection and my son really does learn a lot from them. He is 2.5 years old and he knows these books so well that he can recall the lessons in the books. It's great! Highly recommend these books for young toddlers. Great reinforcement for youngsters.
