I've got a serious love hate relationship going on with this book. So I'm all for teaser romances, novellas that hint at what's to come. As long as they leave the reader entranced and wanting more. But there is such a thing as too short. For me, this book felt like a slap to the face. Yes it was intriguing and yes I wanted more. But it felt rudely cut off. Like someone ripped the last ten pages right out of my hand and refused to let me have them back. Was it bad? No. Did I enjoy it? Yes, immensely. But and this is a big butt...I just don't want to pick up the next book. Why? Because it was a cliffhanger that left me hanging. I wasn't even emotionally invloved in the story yet. Heck how could I when it abruptly cut off. I didn't stand a chance and now neither does it. So yes, while it was good, it would have been a heck of a lot better if it was one book instead of a million little ones. If you get my drift.

A lot of people post negative reviews because this is basically one book broken up into 5, which each installment after the first costing money. Yes it could be a bit much, but in the end you're paying the same amount total as you would for any normal e-book. Yes it's a marketing tactic, and it's a smart one. With the increased amount of books available on the market, you have to come up with ways to sell yourself. Putting all that aside, this actual story is well written and the start of a nice romance novel. The characters are developed decently well and I might end up reading the end of the series if I have more time.

**I received this book for free my honest and unbiased opinion**
This was a long and dragged out story. It didn't pull me in and captivate me, and honestly took about 1 week to finish. I have thousands of books on my kindle and I'm the type that if a story draws me in I will stay up all night to finish a book...this did not hold my attention. The only reason I finish it was because I needed to leave a review. I'm not familiar with this author, so maybe her other books are different, but this one did not do it for me.

I read the whole series, while the series itself was decent it wasn't really a series it was two books spread out into 5 shorter books which I hated, the characters were okay, the whole series just kind of gave that okay vibe, it definitely didnt make me want to read any of her other books and the ending really bothered me it just ended done and over when so much more couldve been said if you use kindle unlimited give the book a try if you don't I wouldn't waste the money
