Okay, so I accidentally bought this on my kindle! It's $10.99..... Om l my mom is gonna be soo o mad I'm smiling lol
. Anyway, I loved this! Best of hall the books. ALltho, the funniest line in all the books was either in book 8 of 9. I'll say it to you... "'I can be a little worried about superstrength,' Winter growled.. 'And whatever the other one can do.'. 'Make bananas.' Quibli
filled in. 'ABSOLUTELY TERRIFYING! FUN FOR YOUR LIFE!'" And also i ship Moon and Quibli
and also Blue and Cricket. sorry winter!!!!!!
My fav character from all the books are: Moon, Quibli, and blue, Luna and. cricket and i guess Swordtail
Order: Moon, Quibli, Blue, Cricket, Luna, Swordtail

When I bought this book it did not download! Very disappointed. :( And yes it was connected to internet. Very sad because I have gotten hooked on these! On top of that, I also preordered this and it didn't download that time either!

Reader thoughts:
I just love how adept Sutherland is at showing tough issues like racism with her dragons. The hive wings totally despise the silk wings but not in an obviously hateful way but in a subtle, cruel way. The silk wing siblings tried to buy honey sweets from a hive wing shop in the first chapter, and the clerk wouldn't serve them until a hive wing customer stepped in and forced him to.

I loved Blue's character, how trusting he is. He reminds me of Clay without the food or overprotective instinct. He wants to do things the right way and for the right reasons, just because he's obedient. He wishes no one harm and tries to understand other people's sides before even getting to know them. He doesn't refer to others as "hive wings" or "silk wings" or "servants" all of the time but as "mothers, fathers, and children" playing in the park. He sees them as real individual people, not as numbers or objects.

I loved the young hive wing lady with the glasses and how enthusiastic she is for science and learning and reading and trying new things and standing up for what's right.

The end was a bit of a cliffhanger, but I think I'll be okay waiting for the next several books. It closed enough for me to twiddle my thumbs in partial impatience.

Writer thoughts:
I'm learning to really appreciate books with noble characters. I don't want a preachy story that loses its plot, but I love characters who are heroes to look up to. I wish all songwriters and authors and screenwriters wrote to raise the next generation to be people we want to share the world with. Don't write about characters who are rude and lie and get away with it or praised for it. Write about friends who are truly loyal. Or, at least right about characters who become heroes to look up to. Give them a strong positive change arc. Readers will emulate the characters they read about; so make those characters worth emulating!

Okay, off soapbox now. Good job, Sutherland.
