Love triangles usually aren't my thing. I end up picking someone to root for and I lose or I lose my cool... either way.

This book was amazing. Beware it does end on a cliff hanger and I am dying for book 2. The female MC was not wishy washy, as they sometimes are. She did have mixed emotions once in a while but not in a way that made her seem weak or annoying.

Autumn just got out of a crappy relationship and isn't sure she is ready to jump into another one quickly. Instead, she wants to focus on school. The same time she makes that declaration she meets Connor and Weston. She immediately likes both but for different reasons.

Weston is a deep soul that is hidden; a mask and walls always in place. Connor always jovial that can make anyone happy. She embarks on a relationship with Connor but he seems night and day from when they are in person from when they text.

Honestly, I am so #TeamWeston, but at the same time you like Connor. As is stated in the book, if the two were one person, they'd be the best person.

What happens? You definitely need to one click.

“I would bring down the Stars for her”. Yes Wes, I know you would <3

I am literally speechless right now. My emotions are all over the place and I’m not sure what to do with my life until the next book is released!!

Emma’s words are poetic and her stories are an emotional rollercoaster. And when I say this, I mean it in the best way possible. This woman has a way with words, she has definitely found her calling. And this book, oh this book..what an emotional triangle you put us through. My heart was beating faster and faster and I read the last chapter. Wes, Connor & Autumn, how is it possible to pick a pair out of this love triangle? It’s literally impossible when all 3 characters are lovable and you don’t want to see any of them get hurt. But I know it’s coming, and when it does, I’ll go grab my box of Kleenex’s and finish this beautiful angst ridden story :)

I can’t recommend this book enough, everyone should read it! Emma is the kind of author I wish would write a book every month! I think I would even read the phone book if she decided to write a romantic version of it!!

Angst-filled and emotional romances are my kryptonite. I devour them, even as they break my heart. Bring Down the Stars by Emma Scott checked all the requirements of an angst-filled and emotional romance. It is the first book I have read by this author and look forward to reading much more, especially then next book in this duet.

I do not even know where to start. These characters, Autumn, Connor and Weston, will own you. Connor and Weston both love the same girl, the girl loves Connor, but there is something about Weston. That is all I am going to say, except this is a must-read story. The feels alone. My heart barely survived.

Bringing Down the Stars will leave you drained (in all the best possible ways). I was consumed by the story and characters and cannot wait for the next book. Don’t let the idea of a love triangle steer you away, this book is definitely worth the read and wait for book two.

Read and reviewed for Reviews From the Heart.

Happy reading!

Oh my heart! Conner and Weston two best friends that are totally opposites of each other. Conner is rich wants to own a bar but his parents are strict and want him to do other things. Weston raised by his mother poor and has anger issues but loves to write and his words pull at your soul. Both meet Autumn a beautiful girl who is at first heartbroken but falls for Conners smile. I loved this book the twist on Cyrano de Bergerac is so perfectly laid out. At points you wanna scream at the characters and other times your melting and loving them. I will say I’m a Weston girl throughout this book. I loved Weston’s words his crabbiness the love he has for the people that truly matter to him, how unselfish he is just blows you away. I’m actually scared to read the next book but crossing my fingers that we get what I’ve been rooting for the whole time reading this book! Definitely don’t pass this book up! 5/5 bringing down the stars

This has been one of my most anticipated reads this year so when it landed on my kindle I was so happy! Have you ever had a story not only hook you but your heart as well from the beginning? That happened to me with Bring Down the Stars. Within the first couple of chapters I was feeling everything under the sun. I haven’t ever read a story quite like this one and that made for one amazing reading experience for me.

When it came to Weston, Autumn, and Connor I felt all the things that they did. They definitely left a mark on my heart. I loved how they all had their own story to tell. I related to all three in different ways as well.

Ms.Scott gives readers the real with Bring Down the Stars. Her writing is so incredible and kept me glued to my kindle the entire time. Days later I can’t stop thinking about this book! I’m so looking forward Long Live the Beautiful Hearts because I need it so badly! ?

I love everything Emma Scott writes, but something about Bring Down the Stars is just more. If you’ve read any of the Goodreads reviews, you already know about the constant, unconditional friendship at its core. You know about Wes, the altruistic hero “who lives every life but the one he wants.” You’ve probably even read a few colorful words about Connor, who in my opinion, is a product of parental pressure, genuine, but maybe a little misguided. But the more in this story is Autumn, a heroine whose strength, determination, perseverance, intelligence, kindness, humanitarian spirit, and unwavering ability to love mirrors her creator.

Bring Down the Stars is something special. If you're already an Emma Scott fan, I can promise you'll love it. It's exactly what you'd expect, though it will somehow still surprise you. If you're new to her, take a chance. You won't regret it.

Wonderful book. The relationship between Wes and Connor was so strong. Wes would do anything to help get the girl he wanted. Even if it meant losing his own heart. I am a sucker for military romance and the ending of the book is very tough. My biggest complaint is there currently isn't a release date for part 2. If you are going to write a duet and call it a duet, the release date of the second part should already be established. This books ends on a cliff hanger, the prologue of the next book gives some help, but I need more.

While one of this book's main features is poetry, this whole book was poetry. Love, loss, sacrifice, betrayal...It had it all. To me when a story is written well it plays like a movie. While this tale is based on another -which was made into movies, which I had not watched- I was only kind of aware of some of the premise of this book. It was a movie to me. It flowed and ebbed, getting sucked into the characters lives as if they were real. I cheered for, and was a little jealous of Weston and Conner's relationship: their brotherhood. When Autumn entered their lives, I picked my side but still wondered how it was all going to play out. There was so much emotion when it came to all 3 of these character's hardships in life, and the love they gave to each other. I was so invested from start to finish, and was a little drained after it was all over.

When Emma writes about love, be prepared for her words to reach down in your soul, going to a deeper place you never expected.

This book is about more than romantic love. It's love for a best friend...no, a brother. It's about when you love someone more than you do yourself, how you want to give the world to them and you sacrifice your needs so they can have it.

And then there is the girl they both love.

A modern tale of Cyrano, I find myself so invested in Weston, Connor and Autumn's story forgetting it is a duet! I cried out at the end "NO!!! It can't end like this!" and then remembered it isn't over yet. Thank goodness!

I was captivated by the emotional journey
Emma took me on. Understanding how you can love from afar because you don't feel worthy. Understanding putting others needs first because it's what seems right. Understanding how you agonize over doing all of that.

I don't know when the second part will be out, but I will wait with my breath held.

THIS BOOK.

Damn. I am so overwhelmed right now. Emma Scott has once again messed me up. Her words are so incredibly engaging, provocative, and romantic. Add in a mother of a cliffhanger and you’ve got yourself Bring Down the Stars. I LOVED IT.

These characters? Their emotional pull to one another? Their love and respect for one another? It is not to be missed. They are beautiful and sincere, yet their actions are a little bit paralyzed by their loyalty and commitment to one another. You’ll be frustrated but hopeful for them.

God, this review sucks. Probably because the sense of urgency I am feeling right now for everyone to read this story is eating me alive. I might come find you if you don’t grab this and devour it today. Kidding. Sorta.

Absolutely recommend.

“Sometimes the heart hides itself behind the mind”.

This book was absolutely a 5 Star read for me. Emma Scott weaves together the most amazing stories, and Bring Down the Stars was no exception. I loved it. So much. I don’t want to say too much and give away any spoilers. Bring Down the Stars is most definitely a story with an unconventional love triangle. This book gave me nervous anxiety, but in the BEST POSSIBLE WAY. There were times I loved these characters, while other times they drove me crazy. I was fully invested in the book from page 1. It pulled me in, and still hasn’t let me go.....I will be anxiously awaiting book 2.

I am a big fan of classic works being retold in modern times...whether it’s in book form or film. I absolutely loved this loose take on Cyrano de Bergerac....it was a brilliant parallel.

Mesmerizing and breathtaking. They are only two words that begin to describe this story. It’s a story that is as heartwarming as much as it is heartbreaking filled with life and love. I was barely past the Acknowledgement and Dedication and had an aching heart. She creates characters that are true to life that deal with real problems and have flaws with loving hearts and gentle souls. Weston Turner is an angry but intelligent and very poetic young man. Connor Drake is confident, charming and always with a smile on his face. They have a friendship that is beyond measure. Autumn Caldwell is sweet and endearing, nursing a broken heart but finding something with each of them she wasn’t expecting. Their connection is full of love, longing, respect, loyalty and selflessness. Getting to know them and experience their push and pull and full range of emotions comes through the words and pages effortlessly. Weston, Connor and Autumn are real, vulnerable and complicated but always with good intentions trying to protect each other and their hearts, only wanting the other’s happiness. It’s an astounding story full of hope and love and sometimes even pain but so worth all those feels and more!

OMG!! A word of warning right from the start, this review will not be the best. I'm finally experiencing one of those famous "book hangovers" people speak about. At least I think I am. This story hit me right in the heart. I read it twice. When I wasn't reading it I was dreaming about Autumn, Connor and Wes, it was THAT great!
I'm not sure what to say, the weeks it will take to read the second part of the duet are going to drag by, I can already tell and it's only been an hour since I finished my second reading. I laughed, cried, and got angry. I mean really angry, so angry my kindle took a dip in the dog's water bowl and is now drying. Angry at the world.
This is a character driven novel, and boy are these some amazing characters! Wes and Connor have a friendship that is stronger than most marriages. I am stunned by their love for each other. Then their is Autumn, she is so wholesome and pure. I know I'm rambling and not saying anything. I'm sorry, I am lost. It is amazing read it for yourself and see, please! I'm going to go read it again, in case I missed something.

Bring Down the Stars just brought down all the stars I have to offer and more. This emotional, heartfelt story of two inseparable friends from the opposite side of the tracks and the girl who changed their lives will twist your soul in knots.

Fall in love with each of the characters: Connor's charm and never ending generosity, Weston's remarkable way with words from the heart that will leave you breathless, and Autumn the humanitarian searching for true love, who is confused by the deceit she hasn't even uncovered.

The writing is superb and polished.

This is my first Emma Scott read and surely won't be the last as I move on to the conclusion in Long Live the Beautiful Hearts.

This book. I was like a woman obsessed, finishing it in one day. For all my lovers of love triangles, this one is for you!! I love Weston, he is totally my kind of tortured hero, poetic yet kind of an a-hole to everyone. You can't help but like Connor due to his always smiling disposition and easy going charm. Autumn is in a predicament trying to chose between her head and her heart, second guessing and ignoring her gut repeatedly. Her predicament gets so convoluted it's heartbreaking for all involved...there is no way this is not going to be messy and man, oh man, I can't wait!!

Oh my God..this story is everything!!!
Autumn, Connor and Wes..three lives entwined so tightly..wow
I swear I felt every single sentence, every single emotion, every line of poetry..
The relationships between the characters, there are so many layers..even the characters themselves.
I was hooked and I was invested straight away..impossible not to..
I know I am rambling but I am very very afraid to spoil and I just finished so my emotions are running high.
I don't know how am I supposed to wait for book 2!
I am hopelessly in love with Wes btw

Weston is perfection
Tall dark and broody
Doesn’t have much to fall back on
Does everything for a friend of course he’s moody
Autumn has been wronged
Short determined and hopelessly romantic
Wearing her heart on her sleeve
Three people are going to end up hurt
That’s the downfall of it all

Jk lol I’m not a poet at all clearly but this story was hard for me to get into at first but then I fell in love with Wes and the way he and Connor sacrifice for each other. Just tune in..I wish wes would have called dibs...

Instantly hooked. I have fallen madly in love with the characters in this book. A book should reach you heart and soul. Many have tried and not all have accomplished this. This one certainly has. I dread the wait for book 2, but I know it'll be worth it.
