H. P. Lovecraft: The Complete Collection

If you have not read Lovecraft before then it may be hard to get into the language. No one speaks in the manner of the narrators of his stories or books anymore and sometimes, that's a shame. Sometimes, though, the flowery language hinders the stories and makes what should be a scary descent into madness a tedious grind through language. Overall, though, Lovecraft is an important literary figure and pretty much created the super weird dear god I can't fathom what that thing was that went bump, slurp, ssssssssssss in the night. He gave us the Necricomicon and Cthulhu. Plus, I don't think I have ever read someone who managed to wedge the word antediluvian into more stories than he did. I love that word! I try and work it into a conversation every day. I dare you to try that one! Of course, be prepared for plenty of blank stares and people who run screaming from your conversations. But, to Nodens with them!
If you have read Lovecraft before, then this is a great collection of his work. Get it and enjoy it.

Lovecraft at his best! Excellent collection of stories for the master of the horror genre. I would recommend it to anyone who is familiar with him or as an introduction to his works to experience his mastery of horror.

This volume not only contains lovecraft's complete story catalog, but quite a few of his collaborations, some mediocre but most as good as his own writing, as well as all of his poetry which I have yet to read.

Five stars for H. P. Lovecraft, of course. Always worth a visit on a quiet evening to stir up the nervous system and get the blood coursing. His work is unique within his genre and often rises above it.

H.P. Lovecraft is my all time favorite author. His narratives are very intriguing if you're into mythological fiction. Although sometimes some of his stories will "drag on," its overall an amazing piece of writing. Especially if this eBook contains 150 interesting enough ( haven't read it all yet) stories and poems, you will indeed be pleased

Lovecraft was a pioneer in the horror story genre. He does not need any certification for it though the modern readers might find the writing style a little old. But it adds to the mystery of his story telling where the demons and ghosts do not need the gory description one finds in modern horror writing. I always enjoyed; and this collection brings a wide variety of his writing.
