This story is about a stubborn sheik who is going to lose his position if he doesn't marry an American woman within 30 days. His opponent doesn't want him to and kidnaps her. Needless to say she is found at the end and marries her sheik, whom she had been planning her wedding all along unbeknownst to her.

It was okay, not realistic. This was a free ebook, don't have any interest in reading any other books in this series. Maybe if it was free, but wouldn't pay for them. No build up of plot, insta love, but no reason why other than her "american" ways. So, yah, pass on this.

Wow. That was unexpectedly really enjoyable. I thought for sure it will be at least OK story. But I was wrong. Finished in one go. I'm so glad I gave it a chance. Now I'm curious about other sheikhs in the story. lol

The book information on the store is what caught my attention. I thought that if done right, it could be pretty interesting. A good book plot and I wondered how it would play out. It turned out that it was somewhat predictable with likable enough Main Characters. There is a unexpected twist towards the end but that's about it.

Leslie North - The Sheikh's Secret Bride - (The Adjalane Sheikhs Series Book 1)

The story begins with Sheikh Nassir Adjalane being told by the board of Adjalane Oil that he had to settle down and stop drawing so much negative press on Adjalane Oil. They gave him 30 days to find a bride and she must be American. Odd requirement but their position was that they wanted to do more business with the West and an American wife would prove they are moving that way. Nassir was all about work with no commitments to any women. His internal dialog was that he would have a marriage of convenience only. If Nassir doesn’t marry in 30 days, the helm of the company would be given to his uncle Hazim. His uncle has been upset that the reins were given to Nassir instead of him, so Nassir must watch his back.

At the wedding of Amare Sharqi and Bree Van Ludhis (Sharqi series) he meets the wedding planner, Janna Davis. He was intrigued by her independence, strong will and confidence that spill out of her. We learn when Janna was 12 her mother was in an accident leaving her injured. Janna became the surrogate mother to her 3 younger siblings. In fact, her wedding planning company was the main income for the family.

Nassir decides that he wants Janna Davis to be his wife. He hatched a plan to have Janna travel to his country under the guise of planning his wedding and somewhere along the line he would let her know that it really is her wedding she is planning. I am not sure this is well thought out, but of course his arrogance would lead him to believe that any women would simply say “yes”. What about her mother and siblings? Who would take care of them?

Find out what happens to Janna and Nassir. Will Janna marry Nassir out of convenience or will she hold out for love. Find out.

This is the love story between oil company CEO Sheikh Nassir Adjalane, and Janna Davis, a successful wedding planner. Nassir and Janna meet at a wedding that Janna has organized, and they share a mutual attraction almost instantaneously. So when Nassir is told by his board of directors that he needs to marry by the end of the month in order to keep his position, he immediately thinks of Janna, to not only plan his wedding, but to be his bride as well. Janna has no clue about what Nassir has schemed, however, they fall in love during the wedding planning process.

To begin with, the cover is hot, which sets the tone for this quick read. Ms. North evolved the marriage of convenience trope with a skillful ease, and there was never a moment that I did not feel the heat building between Janna and Nassir. They are a fun couple, and their sexy times are both sensual and hot. Nassir's uncle was quite a nasty character, and his violent actions were tangible.

I enjoyed this sweet and sexy novella. Although Ms. North has written quite a few books, she is a "new to me" author, and I am looking forward to reading some of her other offerings.

We met Sheikh Nassir Adjalane previously in "The Sheikh's Captive Lover (The Sharqi Sheikhs Series Book 4)". There he is portrayed as the villain of that story so to speak, a man who finds ways to manipulate people and events in order to advance his family's business.

In this story Nassir is still a tad manipulative yet the insight we are given into his life (from his perspective) gives us another glimpse into this enigmatic man. Nassir is "forced" to find an American Bride within 30 days otherwise he will lose his position as CEO of his family's company after his father chose to step down. Naturally his uncle is not happy about this and over the course of the story tries to influence Nassir to 'change his mind' by offering an alternative bride. As we get to know Nassir's father and uncle, it begins to make sense to me as the reader why Nassir behaves the way he does.

In the midst of this story is Janna Davis, the wedding planner for Amare & Bree. Janna captures Nassir's attention which leads Nassir to conclude that she would make the perfect bride for him .... all without her knowledge of course ..lol! So unfolds Nassir's mechanisms to hire Janna to be his/their wedding planner.

This is a straight-forward love story between two people from different backgrounds who find their personalities blend rather than clash. It is a quick, easy to read story with little tension in plot (though the events leading up to the end is good!) and one that I found relaxing after a long day.

Thank you Leslie, for a wonderful story :)

With short books like this, they are either hit or miss for me. I know going in that there will be "insta-love" and the story will have to move fast. I am okay with that as long as the editing is on point, feel like the characters are well developed, and I get a nice clean ending. This book had enough editing issues that they caught my eye. The characters to me where not fully developed, and I think that there were too many unanswered questions left open at the end of the book, things that could have easily been answered in an epilogue. Also, with a book this short, there is no reason to repeat the steamy stuff, and honestly the steamy scenes seemed more like warm water than steam. This was listed under "erotica" and I don't see how, it was a little on the tame side. I do have high expectations for shorter books, I need them to grab me in and not let go until the end. I just felt a slight tug with this book. Would I recommend? Not sure. Others may like this book, I personally didn't get enough out of this book Will I try more from this author? Maybe.

I received this book through netgalley.

Nassir has an interesting way of things, “because…” Nassir turned as well and sighed. There she was. Janna Davis. His bride. “She is already here.” Nassir is demanding and he's totally unapologetic for it and it's a turn on, “Janna.” He turned so abruptly that she almost ran into the back of him. “Unless you wish to accompany me in my shower, I’d suggest you meet me at the restaurant. Say, one hour?” I loved this book, it was short and kept my attention.

Nassir Adjalane is the leader of Adjalane Oil and the board has told him if he does not take a bride within a month, leadership of the company will pass to Hazim, his Uncle. Nassir is an arrogant man who thinks he can trick a woman into marring him just because it’s him. At a wedding for Amare Sharqi and Bree Van Ludhis (from the Sharqi series) he meets Janna, the wedding planner, and decides this is the one.

Janna Davis is a strong and independent woman. She is the oldest of four siblings and from age 12, a surrogate mother to the three younger ones after their mother was involved in a bad car accident that left her injured.

This book is a great start to a new series. It has spots that make you smile, spots that make you want to slap someone and spots that make you need a glass of ice water to cool off.

I really found this book quite amusing, the whole wedding planner planning her own wedding without even knowing it.
Nassir has little time to find a bride and marry, and by little I mean a month. What is a guy to do? O yeah, hire the wedding planner used by your family member to plan the wedding for you and her, without actually telling her till the end. This was a really good, quick and easy read. Look forward to reading more by Leslie North.

Sheikh Nassir Adjalane has been told by the board of Adjalane Oil that after his recent public debacles that he needed to find a bride and they suggested an American bride. Within the next thirty days and make amends with the Sharqui family. Nassir attends Amare Sharqui and is intrigued by wedding planner Janna Davis. Two weeks later, Nassir has summoned Janna to plan his wedding. Little does Jenna know that she is the bride. Jenna needs the money from this even to help support her family, but finds it hard to plan a wedding when the bride is never around. As she plans the wedding, the independent woman starts to fall for the man known as the Heartless Sheik. What will she do when she finds out that the wedding she has been planning is her own?

I am a huge fan of Leslie North's. Her books are always sexy without being over the top. They are connected, but can stand on there own. I fell in love with Nassir when he told Janna "We only met recently, but I'm positive she is the one. The woman I wish to marry." I wanted to BE the wedding planner. There was part of me that was yelling at Janna "why don't you ask him who his bride is?" She never questioned where the mysterious bride was or even suspected.

Since being a young boy Sheikh Nassir Adjalane has dedicated his life to his family's business and now he's being told in order to keep his position he has to marry....
“You will marry an American, and you will do so in the next thirty days."
"Or what?” Nassir demanded. These men could not be serious.
"Or we will replace you.”
"Replace me? I am Nassir Adjalane and heir to this empire....."
Ok so to say he's not happy is an understatement but surprisingly he quickly finds his bride she's the wedding planner at a wedding he's attending.
He's found his bride so that's one item ticked off his list, next he hires her to plan their wedding only of course she doesn't know it's her wedding as well.
Ok so it's more than a little far-fetched but then we knew at from the title and it turns out to be a nice quick easy read, it goes exactly as expected but it's fun to witness the serious and businesslike Nassir slowly come to realise there's more to life than work alone.

Leslie North has another great series. The characters were introduced in the Sharqi series but each book can be read stand alone. In this book we meet Nassir who is the CEO of Adjalane Oil. Nassir has been given 30 days to marry and it is strongly recommended that he marry and American. Nassir goes to Amare Sharqi's wedding in America and sees the woman he wants to marry, Janna Davis, the wedding coordinator. He tricks Janna into coming to the Middle East to plan his wedding. Unbeknownst to her, she is the bride. Enjoy this story, the love that develops between Nassir and Janna and the surprising events that befall Nassir and Janna. Laugh and cry with Nassir and Janna.

Sheikh Nassir has messed up too many times. Now his family is forcing him to marry an American woman within 30 days or lose his position in his family's company. He sets his sight on a wedding planner he meets at a wedding he attends. He hires her to plan his wedding but she has no idea she is his intended bride. Janna has not met the bride and she always seem to be busy when needed so she has to step in for the missing bride in order to get things done. The closer she gets to Nassir the more she has to fight her attraction to him as she plans his wedding to another woman. Cute, short story that keeps you interested to see how things play out. I received an ARC for my honest opinion.

The Sheikh' Secret Bride has stunning twists and turns. A sizzling love story and an alpha male that comes from a powerful family. This is a story that has the right ingredients for a spicy read. Great start to a series that looks to be a scorcher.

An intriguing story of Sheikh Nassir who only has one month to find an American bride. Unexpectedly he chooses a wedding planner and has her come to his country to plan their wedding. The only problem is that Janna doesn't know that she is planning her own wedding. The attraction starts to build between two strong personalities, but while she is fighting it, they are both falling in love. This is a great escape from the stresses of today. I I couldn't put it down and finished it in one night.

This is one of the better Sheikh/American romance novellas but still unrealistic. The sheikh, Nassir was as arrogant as the others. The American, Janna, showed a lot more fire than the other brides. Still, she gave in too easily to his sexual advances to not have any experience.

There was a better plot with a little intrigue and drama at the end of the book. More of Nassir's and Janna's backstories were told. You also knew a little about her family. Once again the sheikh's brother, Adilan, was the most delightful character. The sheikhs from other books made an appearance, however, their stories were confused which is strange considering they were written by the same author.

Still, you were a little more invested and wondered what was going on in their lives. Still too short to be a worth more than .99. If you love this genre, you'll like this book.
