So worth the read! For anyone struggling to find and kill the spiders in their own life. A good reminder that "it's a daily battle not against flesh and bone but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world
and against evil spirits in the heavenly places". Eph 6:12

An amazing book. Personal. Applicable. The author is transparent and real. The words written came from a life that was broken and then mended by the power of Christ. Inspiring and uplifting. Challenging and refreshing.

Kill the Spider is great! As soon as Carlos begins to share his story and the story behind the book he grabs your attention and your heart! He goes beyond inspiration and gives some great next steps in how you kill the spiders in your life!

This book transformed my life and thinking. Wrestling with forgiving myself God calls out and says before you can forgive yourself you have to forgive others aka all my spiders. This book has been such a huge blessing, thank you thank you thank you!

Carlos beautifully weaves together Biblical wisdom with personal experience here to give us all real help in pursuing a Christ-filled life. Beyond the book, I recently met Carlos and the man behind the book is the real deal: a genuine, humble and confident leader.

This book is life changing! The personal account of Carlos' struggle is passionate, emotional and encouraging. The questions at the end of each chapter are thought provoking and are great for journaling during devotions. The prayer at the end of the book is inspiring. So thankful for a practical way to identify my cobwebs and kill the spiders in my life that are hindering me from carrying out God's plan for my life. It should be on everyone's night stand!

Absolutely loved this book. Carlos writes an amazing story of his own personal spider killing experience that keeps you interested the entire time. I really can’t say enough about how well this guy writes. I felt like I was reading a novel.
I’ll be honest, I was struggling to find the spiders in my life, but kept reading the book anyway- mainly because the story is so good.
I guess it was a couple of weeks after finishing the book my spider, one that has been around a long time, showed it’s big ugly self. Fear of pursing after what God has purposed me to do in this life has always held me back. I’ve always backed down. Like, years of backing down. Not anymore. Screw the restless nights and knots in my stomach, I’m going on to do what I am suppose to do in this life. This spider is going to die.
Read this book!
I will read it again for sure. There are always spiders that need to be destroyed.

This book will make you look deep within yourself and start to see how many lies you have believed over your life, and then pray your hardest to eradicate them. To quote the author from a study video, “JESUS didn’t die so you can cope!” Stop coping, start hunting, live in freedom through Christ.

The thing I appreciated most about this book was the authenticity of the author.
There is no “I have arrived so you need to arrive as well so follow my simple plan” in this book. This is an honest journey of one person who is simply leading the rest of us along the way in hopes we’d find the same freedom he has.

Transparency is what so many authors lack and I just don’t buy it- it’s not relatable. This book is.

I finished wondering what my own spiders might be and with a determination not to settle for easy answers but to continue digging until I found the root of the problem. This is by far the best thing Carlos has written and I’d recommend it to anyone.

I loved the honesty Carlos brings about his life and journey toward finding and Killing the Spider. Too often in my own life I have dealt with only the cobwebs and not traced the issues back to the spider. The impact this book has had on me has helped me become a better husband, father, and pastor. I am giving it as gifts to our high school graduates in hopes they will learn how to Kill the Spider.

I love the way Carlos tells stories and weaves them into a deep dive of some pretty heavy topics. He takes big concepts and makes them digestable and confrontable. This is an excellent read for anyone following Jesus to gain a more rich perspective of the messy middle. The vulnerability and authenticity lend themselves to making this a book that anyone at any stage in their walk with the Lord could benefit from.

Incredibly practical, authentic & thought provoking. I appreciated his candor with his own struggles instead of distancing himself from me as the reader. I took away concrete steps I can take to “kill my spider” and have now passed along to a friend. Highly recommend you buy.

If you have ever heard Carlos speak or followed him on the Internet, you already know what an amazing story teller he is. What first drew me to him years ago was his ability to be authentic and transparent on his life and struggles. He just seems like a legit good dude. This book is every bit of that and more. Kill the Spider does not have a single person on the earth that it couldn't help, if you can (or need to) get real with yourself. This book will change lives. I know it will. This is not a one time read and it's the kind of thing you want in the hands of people you love.

Man, I really enjoyed this book. Carlos gets brutally honest as he shares his journey of discovering his “spider” and his path to healing. I really appreciated how transparent and raw he gets in this book. This is a super encouraging read with some great handles to help you get started on your own journey.

I have both loved and slightly hated how much this book is exposing both cobwebs and spiders in my life. It’s a humbling experience to walk such a road but one Carlos has taken very special to care to ensure the reader knows is not happening alone. I feel as though I’m seeing a reflection of the heart of God in the deep places I know I’ve attempted to keep hidden and there’s freedom there. I’m so grateful this book has been written!

This book was amazing! I’ve known who Carlos Whitaker was for years so as soon as I saw he wrote a book I knew I needed to check it out. I was NOT disappointed. You’ll appreciate his transparency so much and if you do what it takes, this book has the tools to genuinely help you move forward with your life.

Carlos gets spiders and he gets how to kill them. He knows it because he’s spending his life living it. I love this book. I don’t feel like he’s speaking down at me - I feel like we’ve got coffee and a roaring fire and friends in front of us and we’re having a long conversation that’s impacting us for life. Thanks for the chat, Carlos. It’s been swell.

He tells the story of his journey to healthier living. Along the way he takes on some of the lies we tell ourselves and the quick fix solutions / cliches / formulas we are told. Wholeness. Health. Deep spirituality is a life long pursuit.

Kill The Spider came along during a tough time in my life and definitely helped me continue to move forward when all hope seemed bleak. I realized, through the book it wasn't people who were my problem but spiders that we cobwebs that eventually led me to the spiders I had to learn from and grow from as I was killing them.
Thank los!
