I love paranormal books. I know it sound silly but when a cop was going to use his magic on a suspect, that was the nail in the coffin. I was giving leeway to the seduction right before that. Not enough believability for me, even in a paranormal book.

This book was terrible!! It was so similar to the Dulcie O'Neil Series written by H.P. Mallary that I had to check to see if it was the same author. The Dulcie O'Neil Series was actually written well, Pixie Dust was NOT. Everything in this book felt forced; from the characters to the plot. I do not recommend this book and that is unusual for me!!!

Spoiler Alert: As other have mentioned, the story is too similar to HP Mallory's world. That being said, I wouldn't mind so much if it was a great story, with great characters. It's not that I mind the main female lead is torn having to choose between two different men, but she needs to make up her mind before the clothes come off--again and again and again.
This book is thin on plot. Karli bounces back and forth between the detective and the vampire as if she has no mind of her own, just hormones. Whoever she is with at the moment is who she is in lust with.....A little realism please....I am not talking about magic, vampires and fairies. I mean really, how many times can a girl get naked with a hottie/s she is totally attracted to and not have sex--or I should say actual penetration. Everything else appears not to count as she bounces back and forth between the two guys.

Fun, entertaining, and sassy read. I give this 4stars because the similarities to H.P. Mallory were too great! I wish the author had elaborated more on her own story line and not taken that of another popular author.

I like the story line. However, Karli sounds like an 'airhead' with her extensive use of 'um' or should I say um's. Also, she can't seem to make up her mind and likes to shriek when speaking to people.

There were so many mechanical errors in this book that it was both distracting and annoying. Seriously, Ms. Lee needs to learn how to correctly use quotation marks. Virtually every single sentence of dialogue was punctuated incorrectly and looked like it was edited by a 7th grader. The over use of the ellipsis (...) was probably supposed to imply the protagonist was cute, but was irritating instead--especially since it was also incorrectly used. No more than 3 dots. Come on--learn the rules. Same with end marks. Did no one tell you, Ms. Lee, that a sentence has only one end mark?!!??!! It seemed like this was a first draft that was published before it was revised, edited, and proofread. Even as cheap as this book was, it isn't worth the price. Don't waste your time or money.

I agree with A. Schreiner's review. This story had potential. The first chapter sets you up to believe that the heroine has been avoiding men do to a bad break up. But within pages, she spends much of her time imagining all of the sex she could have with the Warlock Detective and her vampire boss and every other hot man she lays eyes on. As the last full blood fairy on earth, she is supposed to hide her existence from vampires (and everyone else) yet she "accidentally" throws fairy dust at the detective and let's her vampire boss lick her boo boo;) Then she spends much of the book running back and forth between the detective and her boss, depending which one she's mad at. The dialogue between her and her girlfriends is at best, freshman in high school level. The main character doesn't fit the personality that is created in the first chapter. Since it appears that the author wants us to view the main character as a smart, independent woman (or fairy), the "heroine" behaves like a spoiled brat and when attacked, lays there and hopes for rescue. It isn't until the end, when her rescuer has been injured, that the "heroine" finally fights back. The last chapter leaves you knowing that there will be another book. Hopefully by that time, the heroine will grow up!

I came across this book on accident while seaching the store for something to read. It was the cute cover that caught my eye first!! Anyway, I loved Karlie and I couldn't wait to see what she go up to next. It was a bit steamy , which I love. She is wanted to 2 hot guys, what's not to like. I have been waiting impatiently for the next book, can't wait.

This book is horrible on so many levels. Not only does the author rely heavily on grade-school-level erotica, vulgar language, and the word "sexy" a lot, but she gives no reason for the reader to care at all about the heroine or her two possible love interests. Karli got on my last nerve. She's a cross between redneck trailer trash and California valley girl. She's protecting her fairy secret, but then uses fairy magic at the drop of a hat to change someone's clothes. Huh? She isn't smart, funny, clever, or even good. She's just a slutty every girl surrounded by impossibly hot men all the time who all want her (of course). She goes from almost having sex with this guy to almost having sex with that guy until I am not sure why I am supposed to care anymore who she ends up with. All I know is I will not be reading anymore of the series.
Do yourself a favor and just skip this one.

I love paranormal romance books, so I thought, why not? The summary sounded interesting, plus the reviews were mostly positive, but I could not get past the 2nd chapter of this book. I have never quit reading a book that quickly. I actually could have stopped with the first chapter, but wanted to see if it would get any better. I felt like I was in the mind of a 12 year old boy. I am no prude, but every other sentence seemed to be about sex! The characters were instantly unlikeable. I wish I could give it zero stars.

This book had some very imaginative points, my favorite being the main character is a fairy. Very grown up fun is had, by a fairy whose age would suggest she is more adult than she is, but hey, who really is that mature at 24? Much better written by a few miles than 50 Shades of Gray, and more action than the Twilight books 1-2. Should be a paid endorsement from the Vegas board of tourism! Great first novel, am excited to see what follows. Easy quick read, perfect for a flight to Sin City.

chose rating because of content. Too graphic, too erotic and way too much foul language. Was only able to read the first few chapters before all of the literary pornography got to me.
Book relies on foul language, and explicit sex scenes rather than a strong plot and good writing.
I would not recommend to anyone else.

Positives: I really like the characters in the book, and how they relate to each other. I think this series has a lot of potential, and I liked the steamy scenes.
Negatives: I thought the book was more crass than it needed to be. Don't get me wrong, I love steamy romance novels and I don't mind a swearing, but it seemed like more crass words were inserted than needed and I feel it took away from the overall story, and came across as a little immature. You can still have steamy scenes without being overly vulgar. These books were extremely similar to both HP Mallory's series and Charlaine Harris' Sookie Stackhouse series. I'm not sure if that was the intention, but it was eerily familiar. I also felt like there could have been a little more substance to the plot, but sometimes that's how it is with the first book in any series.
Overall I would probably read the second one.

I loved this book!! It was actually quite funny too! My mom use to live in Vegas so most of the places they were discussing I knew or had an idea about. It wasn't so much a romance as a mystery with some romantic scenes. In either event I still enjoyed it! This book was an easy read and I recommend it anyone who enjoys the paranormal world of fantasy and romance! Enjoy!!
