I have always loved older men younger women books and this one does not disappoint. Lia has always had a crush on her best friend's dad Beck. She is forced to move back home due to a failing art studio. Her home life is unhappy due to a cruel stepmother and a father who does not stand up to her. When Beck and Lia meet again it is instant attraction for both of them. Can they make this relationship work and avoid telling her parents and his daughter who also happens to be her best friend? They face some obstacles but in the end they have a solid relationship! I have left and honest review on an advanced reader copy.

Loved this first novel by Penny Wylder and I hope to read more form her in the future! Lia is Beck's daughter's BFF and she's been looking at him as a dream lover and so has he, but they did nothing about it...until one day, when she returns home to her father's house and she's working in his garage...and they fall in each other's arms. Their attraction is through the roof and Lia is careful since she promised her BFF Tasha that she would never touch her father Beck.....This is an HEA, older man with very young woman. It is fun, easy read. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Basically, the theme for this book is a young artist who had to move back home and starts a relationship with her best friend's dad of which she has had a crush on my many years.
There were some good elements in the story, but it felt like too many pieces were rushed through. In several chapters, the flow of the story seemed to be disjointed and the action taken place just..happened with no real build up or explanation. It was sometimes confusing.
Overall, it was a quick erotica romance read with lots of sex, but the story just could have been better developed.
life-affirming novel that will make you laugh and cry :: The Lady Travelers Guide to Scoundrels and Other Gentlemen :: A Bad Boy Rancher Love Story (The Dawson Brothers Book 1) :: You Don't Know Me :: The Den Of Iniquity (Bastards of London, Book 1)

I received an arc in exchange for a honest review. Lia is living back home with her step-mom and dad after the economy went down. Beck is her best friend Tasha's dad and has had a crush on him since she was a teen. She starts working on her art in his garage and when they are alone together they feel the chemistry between them. Lia's step-mom works at Beck's company and gets Lia a job there as his secretary. They start a relationship and no one knows about it. Lia ends up getting pregnant and to find out her bf is pregnant too. There is some drama in there.

This book was fantastic. It was short and fast paced and full of sexy goodness. I loved Beck and Lia. The older man/younger woman, best friends dad, is it really taboo plot was excellently written. I love Ms. Wylder's writing style. The characters were well developed and relatable. This book had it all - family drama, an evil stepmom, secrets, romance, and plenty of great and hot sex. I can't wait to read more from this author.

I really loved this book, despite the age gap between the two romantic leads. Lia knows what she wants, and she's now old enough to get it, and Beck has been resisting his attraction to her for as long as he can, but when she returns his affections he can't think of any reason not to give their relationship a chance. The climactic scene with the villain near the end of the book was a bit over-done, but other than that this is a great romance. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

There were too many times the story just dragged on and on and all of the character were shallow and unlikable. The dad, "Beck" could only be described in one word, "creepy". I was glad when it was over because the characters were all so annoying. The story had so much potential but it was ruined by simple minded characters without any real development. It felt rushed towards the end.

I enjoyed this one. It was a steamy hot taboo read and definitely what I needed after the previous book I read.

I loved Beck and Lia together. They had chemistry and I felt like they were definitely meant to be together.
A bit of drama and an evil stepmother and cranky best friend but over all a good read.

Short, sweet and totally HOT

Definitely adding this author to my favorites list

I received an ARC in return for an honest review. While the story wasn't long enough, the plot developed quickly and fully. Penny was able to take a simple crush, that many young girls have, and turn it into a page turning work of art. The minor characters were all extremely important to the story line. That is something that does not happen in all books.
For being her first full length novel it was exceptionally well. I feel that she will just get better with time.

A sexy and sweet taboo romance from Penny Wylder.

What can I say? I loved it! I’ve enjoyed all of the novellas that I’ve read by this author and was excited when I saw that she was releasing a full-length novel! The extra pages made room for more fun, more sizzle and more of the swoon-worthy and sexy silver fox Beck.

Watching Lia and Beck move from flirting, to working together, to being unable to keep their hands off of each other was flirty, fun and filthy. They had a great relationship and Beck seemed like a really good guy, not a creeper. :) I loved how he stood up for Lia, especially to her witch of a step-mother and vowed to protect her from anyone and anything that could stand in their way.

It was nice to see the girls’ friendship grow stronger. I loved how the girls stuck by each other’s sides while dealing with the surprises that life threw at them.

I absolutely despised the step-mother, but we were supposed to, so mission accomplished! Ha ha. She was just despicable.

Fun, light-hearted, steamy romance with a young woman and her best friend’s dad. Can’t go wrong if you love a good older man/younger woman romance! HEA. No cliffhanger. Standalone.

Brilliantly written love story, the characters are so loveable that you want them to have their happy ever after and the story was hot, sexy and loving, it flowed so easily. My only complaint is that I didn't want it to end!
Beck and Lia have had the hots for each other but due to him being her best friend's dad the have tried to ignore it but when they give in to their true feelings the sex is mind blowing.
I especially loved the proposal!

A sweet and feel good read. Wylder introduces us to Beck and Lia. Beck is the ultimate man in sweet Lia's eyes. He's her secret true love. Unfortunately, he's also her best friend's dad and completely off limits. However, fate didn't inform Beck of this information. A deep friendship, a promise, a secret, guilt and a wicked stepmother plot to keep the lovers apart. Can true love and a baby bond them forever or will that be their downfall?

The characters are amazing the story has a definite realistic bent to it and I'm loving it! This was magical and beautiful it just resonated deeply for me and it was wonderfully written. This story is complete and filled with genuine reactions from characters that align with their backstory and character development. Much more than just a romance book, and I look forward to reading much more from this author. I am definitely a fan!

Penny Wylder has delivered a longer edition of what readers have come to expect from her: a fast paced plot revolving around charismatic characters with hot love scenes. The character development for all of the characters is more in depth than her usual books, with a longer storyline and a few twists. Definitely an enjoyable way to spend some hours curled up in a reading nook.

I was provided an ARC of this book in return of an honest review.

I really enjoyed this one. The characters were likable and engaging (well except for the evil step-mom). You're not constantly beaten over the head about the age difference (which I hate). And there was a nice even flow to the story (which I loved). For me, this was Ms. Wylder's best one yet.

This book was smokin' hot! I'm so excited that Penny finally came out with a full length novel and it was definitely worth the wait. The sex is hot and the characters are well developed. The timeline of the book from start to finish was a bit short but that's ok given that there's so much history between them.

I can't wait to see what Penny comes out with next!

Great story line with amazing characters BUT it just didn't hit on all check marks for me. While i'm a big fan of the older guy/younger woman story line, this one had too much of an on again/off again feel to me. Ends with an Hea for both the h and her best friend (the H daughter) but it's missing something for me. Maybe not enough steam and sexy moments, I don't know. Still a great story overall and I'd read it again.

Handling a story about a May/December relationship is never easy, but all in all, I enjoyed this book. First of all, however, I'm hard pressed to call this a full-length novel. It was a very quick read, and although there were other minor story lines, it wasn't enough to flesh out the book. Secondly, there wasn't enough of a build-up to "the deed". Them kissing in the garage seemed too soon. I would've liked to have seen more tension, inner struggles especially from Beck. Also, Lia and Tasha came across as younger than they really are. With the reactions to their pregnancies and the hiding of relationships, they seemed like teenagers instead of women in their 20s. That, along with Beck buying the ring for her while she was a child made me a little uncomfortable.
On the positive side, Penny Wylder did not disappoint with her steamy love scenes -- always so beautifully done. I love that there's no cheating. And the HEA is the best. This is a fast read that is still a lot of fun.

I absolutely LOVED Mrs. Wylder's novel Her Best Friend's Dad!! The chemistry these two had was off the charts explosive! It was hot, sexy, sweet, and really very realistic! Hot older men are amazing so that helped too! There was mild drama but nothing over the top it was so well written, if there were any editing errors I missed them as the story kept me glued to my kindle from start to finish!

Penny's first full length novella was a smash hit! I loved loved loved this story. The relationship development and deeper knowledge into the character's feelings was great. I could not put this book down. Low has always been in love with her best friend's dad, but didn't want to act on it. this story follows their romance as they admit their feelings and fall in love. With suspense, twists, and turns this is easily one of my favorites! I will admit I was nervous to read this one because a relationship with such an age gap is usually not my thing, but this was classy and tastefully written. I highly recommend this book.

Penny Wylder does it again. She has brought an awesome story about a struggling artist who is forced to move back home after the economy takes a turn for the worst. Lia is not happy about having to move back in with her Dad and Step-mother but, luckily she has her best friend to turn to. Thanks to her best friend's Dad she has a place to continue working on her art projects--his garage. Things get interesting when Beck returns home from a business trip and realizes that Lia is all grown up! Lia has thought Beck was the perfect guy since she was a teenager. Watching the struggle from both of them to try and resist their mutual attraction is fun.

This was a great short read. One thing I love about Penny's books is that she comes up with ideas that she knows we all think about but might not actually do. This book is no different. An excellent read about a girl whose been in love with her best friends father since she was 10. Looking forward to Penny's next book!

I loved this book, especially the way Beck treats Lia, with respect and he supports her. He doesn't berate her like her evil step mither, Jean. It has a sweet twist that I kniw other Penny Wylder fans will enjoy! I would absolutely recommend this book to my friends! I give it 5 stars! ?????

I absolutely loved this book. It definitely had the fairy tale theme going but with a kinky twist. I liked that there was no drama between the two friends when Lia told Tasha. I enjoyed that a lot. Sometimes you don't need extra drama. I seriously enjoyed the epilogue. Very sweet and hot
