I started this book thinking I would just read the one. After all, my buy with one click is getting out of control. But before I had even finished this book I knew I would have to get the boxed set. I am hooked. This is a complete story, but the rest of the chalice must be found. And now I am off to get lost in another place and time. Great story, Lara!

This book had you almost skipping to the ending in order to see how the novel ends. But I refrained. There was a lot of suspense that kept you reading a little faster. This book will definitely need a re-read later to pick up details that got glossed over. Both hero and heroine are good characters you want to end up married..their love for each other was so evident.

This was a story of bravery....defiance.....Love.....magic.....determination....and happiness to those deserving. The author did a wonderful job of creating the characters and it made it so easy for the reader to connect with each one. The story was one created in times of unrest and harshness. I really enjoyed this book. Can't wait to read the next book in the series. Highly recommend.

Mystery, suspense, supernatural phenomena, love, and adventure is what I found in this fun read by Lara Adrian. I really enjoyed the adventurous story line with just enough shape shifting characters without going over the top. This story kept me captivated and turning pages to see what would happen next. I was sad when the story ended and would highly recommend this read.

Not going to write a long review because there are so many others, but it doesn't need one. Anything by Tina St. John/Lara Adrian is a great read! She always writes believable characters and this story is no different. A must read if you are a fan of medieval romance/paranormal romance! Definitely recommend :)

Great story line. I enjoyed reading about Braedon and Ariana's growing relationship.. only the author could have paired these two surprisingly, unlikely, unexpected pair from opposites sides of life's experiences. Wonderful ending to this first in the series. Time to read about Ariana's brother Kenrick in the 2nd book of this series as the saga continues. Thank you!

Entertaining and engaging, this historical fantasy romance delivers exciting locations, a gripping plot, and plenty of thrilling tension between the hero and heroine. Heart of the Hunter sets up the next book in the series beautifully and is definitely worth the read. Recommended.

This book was an attention-grabber from the first page. It only got better as the story unfolded.
Lara Adrian is skilled in developing a plot that truly involves the reader. She developes
The characters so well in the beginning, that we care what happens to them. I was pleased that she made the
Hero flawed in appearance. I was tired of very large "pretty boys"!

Heart of the Hunter (Dragon Chalice) by Laura Adrian, writing as Tina St. John, is a very interesting and exciting historical romance. It is the first of the Dragon Chalice series and takes place in England and France in the 1100's. It is a love story with many twists and turns and some strange occurances. I found it hard to put down until it was finished. I would highly recommend this book.

This is an action packed adventure romance novel that gripped me from the beginning and didn't let go! This book was a pleasure to read. It was hot boring, nor were there any frustrating parts that made me want to strangle the characters and walk baway. It was a great read and I can't wait to bread the next book in the series!

Got a little weird and boring and for that reason won't read the rest. It didn't hold my interest too long. While I like the historical significance of the book, I wasn't crazy about the characters and their development.

The main characters in the story were interesting, well-described and the fact that it began at a "hate" relationship that turned into something way different. I was rather surprised on the graphic love-making in this book, and didn't really feel that it was necessary to get the idea across. That is the reason why I didn't give it a 5-star, but I did enjoy the way it ended.

I was trapped from the first chapter and stayed entranced until the end. The characters were so easy to relate to and they seemed to jump off the pages. I will absolutely be purchasing other books by this amazingly talented author.

This story line was very creative and I loved every minute of it. I was a little saddened by the Hunter loosing his "power" by saving his love however still found it to be an excellent book. The entire story was well written and the details really allowed the reader to picture the scenes. Will be looking forward to reading the other books in this series.

I have to admit that at first this novel captured me. It started out so well! I thought it surely would be a page turner and it seemed to be going according to plan. Then we arrive at the middle of the story. I began to see signs that this wasn't one of my kinds of love stories. I was totally disappointed with the last segment of this book. So, to sum up, just wasn't the book for me. Thank goodness it was free.

Hearts of two lovers is more like it! Good strong characters. I didn't realize that this was a paranormal romance but I thoroughly enjoyed it even though I would not have bought a book from. That genre. I've already purchased the next two in this series and expect not to be disappointed. Not for young readers.

I kept passing on this series for several reasons. First, I usually do not read Medieval settings. Secondly, not being familiar with Tina St. John caused me to pass. That's been corrected! Excellent story, real characters, believable love story and soooo sexy !!

This book is very very different . The story of Ariana and Braedon was a love that was formed after so many trials. They went through so much. The story kept you wanting more and that is what it gave. Storyline was not predictable at all. Catch it while it's free! You would not regret downloading it

I enjoyed Lara Adrian's vampire series, so when I saw this book for free, I downloaded it quickly. But nothing about Heart of the Hunter grabbed my attention. The plot was so blah and the main characters were one dimensional and run-of-the-mill. There was really no imagination put into them. I couldn't finish it.

I was so disappointed in this. I so enjoyed her "Midnight Breed" series I was so looking forward to this series holding my attention. This book did not. I struggled through it, which I don't usually do with Lara Adrian books. So for me - I did not like it.

I absolutely loved this book! I recommended Laura Adrian before I even read this book. I adore the Midnight Breed series, and this book is even better. I actually got teared up while reading and that never happens. Please, read this book!

Very elegant writing and a very sensual story line ;)
I love this book. I'll read it a thousand more times!
Lara Adrian, has you hooked on the characters makes you believe that they're truly real, or even your own friends. I will definitely recommend this to anyone who asks. Now I'm gonna have to buy the next two ;)

This book was a mystical mystery even though it didn't start that way. In the beginning it seemed to be a standard damsel in distress, knight to the rescue tale. But as the story deepened I was delighted to discover there was more depth to the story. Truly enjoyed this tale.

Well written, exciting and romantic. All the things one looks for in a romance novel. Starts out a bit slow ( I almost gave up on it) but picks up the pace and delivers. I already have the next book and am looking forward to it.

Fantastic descriptions. Great plot. A stubborn, determined and loving heroine. A surly, strong and honorable hero that is willing to sacrifice everything for what is most important to him. Looking forward to reading the last two books in the series.

Enjoyed reading this book very much. Not my usual genre for reading in a romance, however, I couldn't put this one down. Creative suspense and very enjoyable. Needs better edit proofing for typos as conversion may have "upset" some words. Thanks for sharing gift.

Historic and paranormal are blended in this love story. Lots of action and suspense. Loved the Hero and Heroine. I really like that this book stands on its own, even though it is part of a series. Caution...the love scenes are steamy.
